@@EarthAltar if it’s where I’m kinda flicking it, that’s a flutter. If you’re talking about when I just barely press it down, that’s called a dip (pretty much a really quick trem dive and release)
@@Noah_CrenshawAh, the "flutter". That's it. First time I ever heard it was on "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" by Night Ranger when Brad Gillis did it during his solo. I've seen a few other guys perfect it Vai, Petrucci, etc. but man, you do it with such ease it's like nothing for you to do it. That's some command you have over the instrument. Rock on!

Really I usually start with making a barebones idea of a beat or backing track and then try different ideas with guitars or other instruments til I like what I got, and then adjust the drums and stuff as necessary 🙏🏽

Thanks! 🙏🏽 And I pretty much exclusively use Iron Age Accessories. I haven’t used any other picks in like 4-5 years
What gear do you use when you record stuff like this?
I used the Berry amp plugin and my 8 string legator for the rhythm guitars, and my pod hd500x and schecter for the lead guitars and solo
@@Noah_Crenshaw so you use the pod as an interface to record I guess?
@@konradlindblad7860it’s connected to my Scarlett focusrite with XLR cables, and I’ll either use the tones on my pod, or switch to a patch with no amp or FX and use it as a DI into my focusrite so I can use amp sims on my computer. I only do it that way so I don’t have to constantly change what’s plugged into my interface
