But we still did it our own way.
Thanks for your support!
DØVYDAS bro...WOW
DØVYDAS ssq
It was play very very good.....
DØV
DØVYDAS you always do it your own way lol!! But that's why we live your channel.. Awesome musicianship
Am i the only one impressed by his ability to play a song that he doesent know just from guidance?
Piroclanidis it was epic
you're not the only one!!
No, you aren't the only one. It is very impressive. The bass player plays with emotion ( " ...key??? Tararara tarara"). Also the guitar player at the beginnig from not knowing to at a magical ending. Amazing. Felicitaciones 👏✌👏
No
Yep you and you alone have a special gift for notice things like that.
"What's the key?"
"E"
"Major Minor?"
"G"
"Major Minor"
"Minor"
*Song is in C minor*
@@paulthepink yalan söylemicem, bu video yüklendiğinde ben de onunla öğrenmiştim ama sonradan çalmayı da öğrendim belli bir yere kadar.
Bass Player trying to explain music:
"the key is uuhh E, uh sorry, g" "Major, Minor?" "uuuuuuuuuuhhhh Minor"
"The chords are ta rara rararaa"
haha Im dead
Max hope he doesn't get angry about how dovy edited the video
i think the actual song is in C minor too lol
Max hey James and Lars "write" theirs songs this way. Since they have no Cliff or Dave.
Bass players.
Lmao as a bass player who knows music theory that was painful
The band we need. DOVYDAS on electric guitar, Davie504 on Bass, seth everman on keys
EPICO
You forget sax guy from the other video
plz listen to what this guy said
Cobus on drums
@@Harmerock_YT nah fam Jared Dines on drums
My wife heard that slinky tone when I was watching it on my phone. Asked if I was watching a strip tease.
Santana effect verified.
Parlamour1 Nah... just pull up a real strip tease vid... no explanation required. :)
Best comment hahaha
Hahahaha
Haha!
Parlamour1 That's one way to make your woman not want you
A bass player that knows how to play a song? What an exotic specimen
_InsertNameHere_ ? Dude I've been in seven bands and in every one the bassist was easily the best musician of us all.
Dude I've been in 147 band and every bass player was easily the highest guy out of all of us
_InsertNameHere_ bass playa here, i have created over 300 bands none of which ever played bc we were drunk all the time...
_InsertNameHere_ dude I've been in 972 bands that were solo bass acts and every time I was easily the only musician.
Update: been in 2357 bands guys and bass player is a bass player help dick stuck in Walmart shopping cart
when you look at the clock and realize you been watching this guys UA-cam channel for the past 2 hrs on your day off and still listening to some twice
"Those are the notes, you know it?"
"No."
"Ok."
Ive said it once and ill say it again, this is a true musician. Had no idea how to play this song and manages to work it out in literally no time during a live performance with some basic guidance from the bassist who also seemed unsure himself. Great job guys.
You can't complain that he doesn't play the "requests" note for note, because you have to understand, these are songs he's never heard, yet he still plays it from scratch, on the spot, no practice - and he actually does it pretty well. Not a lot of people can do that. I, myself, have been playing for a near two decades, and through those years I'd like to believe that I've relatively mastered playing by ear, but I'm humble enough to admit that I can't pull off something like that without prior practice. And seriously you gotta ask yourself as well, how can he be that good and not know Santana (or Iron Butterfly)? Which leads me to believe that this here is a true math player - he knows all the notes, the variables, the math - give him any equation, and he'll give you a solution (if I'm making any sense). That he may very well be a true player, a pure musician, who learned without exposure to these songs that have, well, more or less defined...music, ergo learning without limits. And he does it with true passion as well. He's way up there with Captain Beefheart. And I must say, at first glance at your videos, I was a bit skeptical, but now I am dumbfounded, and in true awe. Bravo, man. And the best part is, you're way too underappreciated in your own time - you're living the dream!
Yeah-- the SEO thumbnails on the videos had initially put me off, but his ability is undeniable.
wayfaringshaman I couldn’t have put it better myself sir, amazingly said.
Who was complaining
I actually like his versions better.
that bass player just plays the songs by feel, he's like "key? The fck? tempo?" he maybe plays the whole song in his head perfectly.
you're a genious
Relative pitch is a beautiful thing.
Its perfect to play with friends and think you all think you play perfect. Especialy when tempo goes from 100 to 50 after 2 mins
time to upload more joe!
What bothered me is that he said it was g minor but it's actually Eb major.
If DOVYDAS was born blind, I swear could still play the colors of the rainbow from just a description!
You're too kind!
LamazeMe he’d probably feel the color
now that's some shakespearean shit
Dovydas is Pocahontas confirmed
Uncle Mullet, that is a very, very excellent way of complimenting someone with this musical talent.
The man on the red jacket just closed his eyes and let Dovydas' music take him...i feel you man. I feel you
confusecian He definitely caught the vibe
I think he just got bored. Looks like it might be past all their bedtimes!
nah fucker fell asleep, too much bingo
Dovydas the karambwan king
prolly stoned as fuck
Going from not knowing a song to playing it in minutes... that's some serious talent! Not to mention how well the two just get into it! That's hella impressive!
One of my favorite tracks ever and he pulls it off! Even switches to playing one string at a time (? idk the correct term for it) around 3:20, because the bass player tells him to :D If he really didn't know the track from before that is seriously impressive.
That's a cool bass that guy has. I see what he was going for. He wanted an upright hollow fretless but electric bass. So he made one. Great. Now I want one.
Evil Joe. Enough said.
joe Bruno kudous joe Bruno you both gave us à Picture of humanity at it highest point: you taught a melody you never played to someone never heard it and you both gave a great performance, all in 6 minutes
I want this guy at my wedding playing whatever comes through his heart and taking requests here and there of course lol this guy was fashioned by the gods
That was pretty good for not knowing the song to begin with!! FINALLY...your music is appreciated!! 👏🎧🎶🎼🎸🎤🎵💞💕
Brenda Anne L Amazing, guy! I mean, if you really are doing improvisation. Can't find words. You know how to do it, dude.
New subscription incoming :D
J Guy from a guitarist's perspective, you'd be surprised how easy it is not.
To not know Santana, or his songs, as a "Guitar Player" is quite an achievement in itself.
NeroMephistopheles Well he's foreign, so maybe that's part of it. He probably knows a few "legendary" European guitar rock songs that never made it to the US as well.
"bass player " completely dominates, not in original deal. Invited Leading guitar player obviously suffers but tries to do his job.
Puĺled that out of somewhere.. i dont know where haha.. i was having a panic attack just watching.
part of the fun is watching them gel on a song for the first time don't you agree? the uncertainty and the tentativeness .. and have a good day
Ears....
lol do you know who carlos santana is now LOL . Bay area legend
sorry for laughing but i give you credit for posting brother way to go. "WHATS THE TEMPO" LOL
Nobody that has played guitar with any amount of passion or dedication hasn't 1) heard Santana's Europa, 2) tried to play it over, and over, and over... not buying the act but... it was fun and well played :-)
I loved the way you improvised after getting the chords. Sounded pretty much what Santana would have done improvising.
What I love about Dovydas is that he can take any path of music and blaze a trail through it.
1:53 when your teacher asks if you've done your homework
NonsensicalVids so Fucking true
seriously burst out in laughter
That's too many chords Had me dying Great job
how i constantly feel, along with key? tempo?
That bassist just earned you a sub.
One of your best performances in my opinion, the emotion you played with in this improvised version is 100x better than the original version!! I can't believe this video doesn't have triple the amount of views!
lol - I think this is my favorite non-solo performance yet. The editing and subtitles are gold!
You turned a trainwreck into an awesome thing!
Don Vanco agreed......his solos uses the same patterns in just about every video. But.....the dude can legit play anything given the key
"Oh that one"
Tobi Steindl yeah we alll know "that one" 😁
Very accomplished musicians. My 1st impression was: WOW! What an awesome learning curve that this guy has! I really wish that I had THAT! But then, I realized that he has obviously put in the work to gain the skill, taste, and ability to be able to pull this off. To be able to do this performance took a LOT of study and practice of music.
I found this channel because of his vid titled when someone request a piano song from a guitar player
Jaja, I found this like you
Wow, watching you learn by ear as you go, so fantastical!
Goes from not knowing it. To killing the solo. Love skills man.
I know from experience how difficult it can be to reproduce someone else's music, especially when you aren't very familiar with it. I spent months trying to master another musician's drum solo, and still couldn't quite put it together on stage the way I wanted (like the original)...just didn't feel right. Hats off to you, sir.
You definitely got the blues, loved it :)
And Carlos Santana sold about 10 albums later that day.
eratic515 most creative comment ever 😂
haha
This dude is bad
You finally did it. Someone finally applauded your effort. Finally! I'm so happy! ❤️
Least they gave you an applause this time! Good stuff man!
I can’t even think of the words to describe this talented man, simply amazing work
Your editing makes things look hilariously awkward
Right? This was awesome.
Exactly the reason why I love it
Absolutely agree. The editing makes things look amazingly funny.
The editing really shows it but it is,actually, awkward af. Regardless if it was edited or not lol
It's like I'm watching a MuchDank video
You have great ability to improvise! I'm looking forward to see where you go with this talent. Hope to see you on the big stage soon...
I love these "teaching" style jam videos. great hook to get you in. Quality Certified Grade A content.
Stranger: can you play-
Dovidas: k got it
its kinda frustrating that the bass player told him to play around the fourths but he didnt. good thing the bass player adjusted to his chord progression. Still a great job.
I love the editing and the general skill of your playing, really love it you're awesome cheers from Mexico
1:04
"Those are the notes, you know it?"
"no"
"ok"
Maple Bacon that was the best hahahahahaha
The camera angle does all the work and i love it!
@4:55 Joe was saying "This is getting to my head ...I will go solo". Nice one, can`t stop playing it
I've have watched a few of this guys videos. I've never seen this talent ever before. You are amazing at what you do. Truly.
Never heard it before, ended up playing it.
That is cool.
That was great. Hats off to Dovydas and Joe! Santana would dig it.
I swear bro your ability to pull anything out of thin air is INSANE!!!
That was next level improvising. Dovydas improvise king.
I love how the guy in red closed his eyes and experienced the performance differently!
Really inspiring man!
Before I clicked this, I was a little disgruntled, like 'how many songs does he know to do requests so often!?'
Turns out we got to see some magic being worked out from practically nothing! Thats even more inspiring :)
Cheers from Colorado, keep on keeping on
You should check out TheDooo. Dude can play anything on request
+Chris Whatley What amazes me isn't his improv skills both the fact that he knows 99% of the song request he is given.
How you managed to pull this off is beyond me.
I've been trying to learn Europa for 2 straight months and I still can't hack my way past the 2 minute mark!
Hats off to you, good Sir!
I like that starts with I do not know the pattern and after one run through he takes the lead. Love the bassist cool. Gonna watch again thanks.
I have always loved Europa, this reimagined version is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I've shared it with others and they are impressed as well! Solid work!!
Holy shit balls! You have to be the most talented guy I’ve ever seen.
It's so easy to see your passion in your face when you play
*NAILED IT, ACED IT CAN'T BE STOPPED!* Points at DØVYDAS and smiles, well done man 10/10
funniest shit ever the beginning
Valentim Azevedo I figured I’d comment to let you know you have 454 likes.
what the blob
Valentim Azevedo you’re welcome
It is mind boggling how You do such a great job of playing music that you basically never heard of !!👍🤗🎉 Looking forward to seeing you in person !!
That bass player was cracking me up 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 👏 cool dude
beautiful... just holy shit
7:02 That look is like "Damn I'm Good"
Please play more Carlos Santana, you are great
Have a look at one chain, it is different from his usual work but it is quite progressive and will fit your style and the looping you use
Yeah Maria!
If he ever plays Samba pa ti it'll be actually the best of my life
The authenticity of this reminds me of Ryan is driving... hands down real life encounters
You set a genuine new level of music
Awesome arrangement!
Man you're a great musician. I really admire your work... I'm still just learning basic chords and let me tell you.. this is really inspiring.
I hope I could get to be at least half as good as you someday!
Warm regards from Costa Rica.
I just loved it.. it turned out to be so intense in the later stage. The way he picked up the song from the bassist was awesome.. he is truly a performer and passionate towards music. Keep it up.. This video made me hit the subscribe button when he started his solo..
Bravo from the Philippines, for not knowing it that was very nicely played. Your personal touch is awesome.
This... all of this brought a smile to my face. You truly know what you're doing even when you think you're not. You're a true musician. Amazing.
I really like the progression of how find your way into the song. Good one!
Can turn anything into something great to listen too. I enjoyed every bit of it. Even the confusion. Makes it that much better.. hahah "whats the key," Cracks me up
The confusion adds to the suspense and enjoyment because the more confused they are, the more you have no idea what will be played and then when it happens to be awesome...all I can say is I am equally entertained!
amazing improv on not knowing the song, nicely done
It is truly one of the best instrumental songs ever, evokes so much emotion and the guitar sings.
And you did it good Justice.
As a Santana fan, and Europa being one of my favorites, this is a really good version!
I think the original song this one is based of is called "Não deixe o samba morrer", released in Brazil in 1975 sang by Alcione!
that was great man! the audio headroom is also great! :)
Some of my favorite improv I've seen on this channel.
please, PLEASE, come someday to Argentina. Everyone will praise you here
Carlos Santana is my favorite guitarist of all time, and I love this song, and I think that you totally did a great job, you are a great musician, keep on rocking!
this is actually a fire cover, by not knowing the original song you made it completely your won, I need it on Spotify ASAP
I've seen a few of your videos before and I've rarely been so mesmerized to just sit and watch music. Your talent for creating art is something truly inspiring.
This is awesome, truly shows how good of a musician you are man, keep up the great work
Keep accepting these challenges, you will succeed without a doubt! Keep on rocking!
Close enough. I could hear Carlos doing this. Nice job!
Dovyas is a true professional
You're the reason I picked up a guitar again. Thank you
0:45 totally got me. Your editing is gold
U r getting better and better mate. Keep it going. Stat blessed.
That part from 4:15 to 4:58 was so good. You are a musical genius.
I never tought that i Would listen to my mom's favorite musican on this Chanel.
As an ad-lib you did a damn fine job Dovyas. Much respect.
Smash, you fucking OWNED that shit! Love it!
I didn't know he was a comedian too. Man of many talents.
High as balls and LOVING this new performance. Great as always!
Frecking love these videos where somewhere requests the song and it turns from nothing to something epic... similar to your kendrick lamars be humble with the band... that came out of nowhere.. very entertaining.. keep doing you dovydas!
Your ability to catch on and understand music like that is awesome. Keep it up!
you really didn't listen to europa before this...but you still pulled it off! I'm sure youv'e listened to it by now but that was a great request because it truly fits your style in my opinion..but keep exploring music is and endless journey!!! well done!!!
My GOD that solo was sick.
Bet everyone was so deep into the situation you didnt even realise the guy that was standing outside the WHOLE time.
This is why I practice every day I want to be able to improvise like this more than anything
Also this really shows the power of musical theory for someone’s abilities. I hope more people watching can realize that too.
Play with others. Thats the best practice imho
