Great reaction! All band members made some solo projects, but none of them (even not Freddie) was so succesful as they were together. It was a god given moment when these 4 musicians got together.

Of the audience 72 000 at Wembley, and 100 000 spectators at the Shadow Concert in Philadelphia.
The largest audience of 1,5 billion people even watched it live via satellite around the globe. The event raised funds for the poor and hungry in Africa.
    The concert was a succees!!!

I am a 45 year old, 4th generation, life long vocalist/musician. I was so fortunate to grow up when Queen was releasing new albums. Queen was certainly my generation's "Beatles ". It was very exciting to have grown up with their music as a big part of the soundtrack of my life. It makes me feel so happy to see younger generations, like yours, experience this music for the 1st time. Thank you for giving your viewers some joy.
Unfortunately, on November 24th 1991, Freddie's miraculous voice was silenced when he lost his life after an agonizing, private and self-shameful battle with Aids. Back then, Aids was a death sentence and the terrible stigma that went with it was just as excruciating as the disease itself. Freddie really valued his privacy and wanted to keep his illness secret until the last moment. It was only 1 day before he died that he released a statement announcing to tge world that he did have Aids. He died the next day. There are so many wonderful albums Queen released (over 20). Of all of it, I strongly recommend you do a reaction video to "The Show Must Go On". It is believed that Freddie wrote that song as a way of coping with his fate from Aids. It was one of the last songs he recorded and finished as he kept recording even when he could only handle small bits at a time. He truly wanted to just focus on music, his love of music. That song really showcases what his voice could be maxed out to do. The emotion is so raw. It is brilliant. Sending love from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️

Additionally, this concert was for African famine relief, specifically Ethiopia, organised by Sir Bob Geldorf (Boomtown Rats) and Midge Ure (Ultravox). Queen were just one of around 40 acts that performed that day at Wembley, I watched the entire event whilst on holiday with my family. It raised over £30million just on the day. You should watch Do They Know It's Christmas? which was the first part of this extravaganza, a Christmas No1 in the UK, there is an explanation video which goes with it:-ua-cam.com/video/BC1MsH_CB_0/v-deo.html

There were 72,000 people at that stadium Queen wasn’t even on the bill and no one knew there were coming. So Queen had no idea if the crowd was going to like them. Silly Queen. Queen was a legend and everyone loved them and still do. It is 50 years now Queen has been around and they will always be the best. I live the band, those 4 men made magic when they all together. At the time of Live Aid I was serving in the British Royal Marine Commandos in a refugee camp in Ethiopia, whilst the Bands were raising money for the people we were there to help and protect. We listened to it on the radio. We were surrounded by the full horror of the Famine, but when Queen came on the radio those poor soles who were there even reacted in a very positive way. I remember that a lot of us Royal Marine Commandos were crying watching some of the children dancing along, I'm teary eyed just remembering. I looked around at men I had fought alongside, who were tough, hardened Royal Marine Commandos who had fought a life and death war against Argentinian's in 82. By the end of Queen's set we were dancing with the children. It went along way to help build their trust in us. The famine in Ethiopia is only one of many terrible memories I have from 35 years of active service, and over 2 years hospitalisation. But when I remember the smiles on the children's faces, and their laughter at the terrible way we danced always reminds me that humanity will always find it's way through even the worst of times. I only watched it for the first time just over a year ago, my son put it on the TV. A lot of memories came back and a lot of tears.

List of songs in this performance:
    1. Bohemian Rhapsody (because how could they not).
    2. Radio Ga-Ga (one of Queen's big crowd participation songs) incidentally The song Lady Ga Ga got her name from.
    3. Hammer to Fall (at the time it was their current single).
    4. Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Freddie's tribute to Elvis, famously written in 10 minutes while taking a bath).
    5. We Will Rock You (containing the most recognizable three notes ever written "stamp, stamp, clap").
    6. We are The Champions (Freddie's somewhat successful attempt to write a Sports anthem).
Poor John Deacon missing out again (3 for Freddie Mercury, 2 for Brian May and 1 for Roger Taylor), of course he makes up for it by having written "Another One Bites The Dust". Queens best selling single.
If you think 72,000 is a large crowd, Queen headlined the Rock in Rio Festival, in January of the same year (official audience 250,000, actual attending closer to 300,000).
As for working your way through Queen's musical catalogue, that could take some time.
As Queen they released over 180 songs, Freddie wrote 1 solo album, Brian May has written 2, Roger Taylor has written 6.
There are also large number of collaborative works done with other musicians, most famously Freddie Mercury and Opera singer Monserrat Caballé.

A logistical disaster staged before the technology was ready, Live Aid was nothing if not ambitious and Queen rose to the occasion. One of many 'legacy' bands lined up to entertain the paying crowd and a worldwide audience by satellite (others included the original line-up of Black Sabbath and the remaining three quarters of Led Zeppelin), their job was simply to go out there and play the hits. Instead, they triumphed and people now tend to forget a lot of the other performances!

It's great that after all these years that people, especially younger people, are still interested in this. To be honest though, many that have followed Queen from the '70s recognise that Freddie's voice is pretty much shot at Live Aid. He's really struggling to hold it together. In reality this is probably one of the worst Queen performances. For a truly great Queen performance check out Milton Keynes from 1982. But yes, Fred was always a showman.

@@symplytraciereacts Well, to be honest, this is just a small cross section of their catalog, which I picked as a good jumping off point as they are very different from each other, which is something that Queen was known for, you do not put Freddie into a single kind of music. They have over 160 songs and even the "bad" songs are still good.

    LOVE YOUR REACTION, HONEY!
    The songs in order were:
    Bohemian Rhapsody intro
    Radio Gaga
    Freddie's "call & repeat" w the audience
    Hammer To Fall
    Crazy Little Thing Called Love
    We Will Rock You
    We Are The Champions
AND... There is ALSO an ENCORE!
Later in the evening, Brian May/Freddie perform:
Is This The World We Created?
    (HERE'S A LINK TO IT):
    ua-cam.com/video/riwDo7_GxjM/v-deo.html
I HOPE you'll react to it also!
    And I have a REQUEST...
When you're pausing a video to make comments, is there a way that you can LEAVE THE PAUSED VIDEO UP ON YOUR VIEWERS' SCREEN? I have a REALLY HARD time watching reactors' videos where that paused image keeps disappearing/reappearing.)
BTW... that impromptu call & repeat that Freddie did w the audience, was something he did in EVERY Queen show throughout the 80s.
The most famous/probably best one, is at the beginning of:
UNDER PRESSURE live at Wembley Stadium in 1986
(So that's a HINT, you should react to it as well!)

I’ll start putting the paused screen up there, will probably try to screen record the song as I’m reacting, might be better
