  • In this video, I reviewed the 2022 Stella FK and why I made that switch from Daiwa Certate LT. When it comes to finding the ultimate high-end spinning reel for fluke fishing, you want it to be refined & reliable. After an intense year of fishing with this Stella plus a trip to the service center, I am extremely happy with this reel.
    And in this video, I culled in an easy triple limit of fluke over 18" on the Stella & my brand new custom rod built by @big_blue_custom_rods on IG. DM link below for rod inquiries/pricing.

    Do u like the Stella or Exist? What's better when reeling in a fish? Why did u switch?
    I have the FK and I love it. Just curious if there's something better.

    I have a question. I usually buy all my Shimano and Daiwa reels from Japan. Do you know anywhere in the U.S that will service JDM reels?

      You might need to do a bit of research. Some tackle shops like Gary's Tackle Trap will make some exceptions to JDM reels.

    Looking at getting a fluke setup was looking at the vanford 3000 or the new 23 stradic or even a twin power xd off of digitaka. However when it comes to rods im clueless any suggestions for rods in the 100-200 dollar range thanks

      Daiwa Rebellion in similar length/power/action would suffice.

    What is pros and cons between certate lt/stella

    • @shore-moneyfishing1939
      @shore-moneyfishing1939  Рік тому +1

      The Certate LT is quipped with the ATD drag system that is very forgiving during short bursts. This leads to higher landing % for fluke caught in the surf. For just about everything else, the Stella wins. Line management, reliability, durability, castability, the list goes on. I would compare the two today if it weren't for the Certate breaking apart from internal corrosion.

    Is it normal that the reel runs less smooth with the handle on the right, than with the handle on the left?

    • @joranwa430
      @joranwa430 Рік тому +1

      Shouldn’t affect the reel. Must be the grease and oil that isn’t right. Has the reel been underwater sometimes?

      @@hiiminori Would clean it, let it totally airdry and then grease and oil it. See if that helps. Mine was a bit friction as new too. Also I used the reel very often for some weeks and needed to clean it after days where it wasnt able to get dry.

      @@hiiminori U can ask the store if they agree on it beeing too much friction and maybe get a free check and fix/re-oil at Shimano. But, I prefer doing it myself since I can use the oil products I want (abu garcia is good) and can apply the desired amount of grease.
