@@WhatMatterstoMatt Hey man! I’ve been using my Forerunner 255 music but I experience Bluetooth connectivity issues on my runs. The music cuts in and out. Do you know if this is a common thing, whether I should blame it on my headphones (working perfectly with every other device), or if my watch needs to be fixed? I can’t seem to find the solution and it’s frustrating!
I had been looking for information regarding for Garmin Coach. Your video had helped me with deep understanding which not even the salesperson could provide to me. Perhaps I could get a little help from you to find out if the training plan can be customized to include equipment-free cardio workout?
Somehow I missed your comment. Thank you so much for reaching out. If you have not had the chance to figure it out yet. The Garmin marathon plans are baked in and don't really allow for adjustments. I have a lot less experience with the Garmin Coach plans but the little bit that I have played around with them I don't think you can "add" equipment-free cardio workouts, but if you do intense enough cardio outside the plan you might notice that it will try to adjust your next 7 days of workouts to reflect the extra work that you have put in.
I just purchased a 265 today, within your garmin connect in the video, you have the option of (find a plan) within the scheduled option in training plans. I am not seeing the find plans button. I bought this watch in hopes of having guidance in training for my first marathon. Commenting for help figuring out on how to figure out how to get a guided plan
Hi there, I just started using my watch for custom run workouts. However, with my intensity target, the watch would constantly yell at me if I was below, within or above the range. I couldn’t find a way to turn this off. Is this something you’ve experienced and found a workaround for?
Hey. Sorry I missed this question from before but yes Garmin does give you audible prompts over earbuds. It’s nice to hear it while running along and not have to be constantly paying attention to the Watch.
Hey thanks 🙏. Did he miss the whole plan and will be starting at the beginning of a new 16 week cycle or needing to jump into a plan part way through? (How much time before the race?)
Hey Matt. Do you track your heartrate with your Garmin or with an added Polar heart strap? I added a strap and found my Garmin was high. What heartrate are your easy runs typically at? Do you just rely on zones from your Garmin or are you subtracting your age from 180?
I have just been using the garmin on the watch. Love hearing your feedback though and I keep thinking that a watch is definitely something that I might want to invest in. Seems like any time that there is budget for anything running related my mind always goes towards new shoes :) I think that might be a bit of a curse :) Easy runs, it seems like a 145 beats per minute roughly puts me at the top of what I would consider easy. What's interesting is when I am out on runs I always have this internal debate about wanting to make sure I am hitting the paces that should be "easy" based on what kind of marathon times I would like to train towards and really being strict to keeping my heart rate at an "easy" level. Sometimes I seem to be falling back on just going by feel "what feels easy and could I carry a conversation with someone?" But 100% could see myself investing in a heart rate monitor soon.
My Garmin forerunner watch is arriving tomorrow. Thanks for the simple description, very helpful! Safe running, mate!
No problem at all. Let me know if you have any other questions about your garmin and if I don’t have an answer I will see what I can do to find out

I'm planing run tour 1500 km. Any advice how to set training plan in FR 255?

Hi Great video! A friend of mine missed their training plan run, is there a way to add a new one to replace the one they missed?

How can you share training plans with other runners?
What marathon are you planning on running?
PEI Marathon. Running along the coast on an island in eastern Canada. Should be nice. Just have to keep the fingers crossed for some nice weather

Thanks 🙏 I also included that in the chapters where it should be labeled as something like “watch setup” at around that same time.
