  • Garmin Coach allows you to send an adaptive training plan to a compatible Garmin watch. With Garmin Coach, you get to choose your expert running coach and your race goal, then receive guidance with a free training plan that includes dynamic workouts selected for you. These workouts sync to your watch and will adjust to get harder or easier based on your performance in the plan. You choose from one of many plans that best fit your race goal, and receive dynamic workouts based on your abilities. Plans support beginner to intermediate participants (from run/walk up to a 7:05 min/mile pace) For more information: To use this feature, visit Garmin Connect connect.garmin.com/features/c... or download the app buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/125677

    I've used the 5k plan with Jeff Galloway and I took 4 minutes off my PB 👍🏻🏃‍♂️

    Is it the case with Jeff’s plans that the Forerunner 645 Music will not notify you when it is time to change interval?
    I’ve read online that it doesn’t
    Just finished 5k with Greg, recommended

    I started this training. What doest it mean 30’secs fast and 30 secs slow if on my watch is 30 secs run then 30’secs run .. no time to get slowly

    How do you get the benefits of the plan but when you’re ahead of the plan? I’m stuck on “benchmark run” but I don’t want to do that recommended run as I cant even get a mile in that 5 minutes.

    Hi. I started my first running plan with Jeff. I am after the first training and honestly I don't know how to go further withe a next steps of the training. Training is starting with warm-up I am choosing start training and it goes on. When first step is finished it shows step 2 but nothing change and it is only an information about what is included in this second step and what we have do but on the watch I see only standard notification about running/training. I haven't found how to go further step by step during a training. I am pushing down right button "lap" but when I am doing it a watch is going back to a main watch view and nothing else. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?. Thank you in advance for help.

    I'm doing the beginner 5k training with Coach Greg. The color codes in the warm up and runs are blue/zone 2 and the cool down is green/zone 3. Are these my target HR zones during the walk/run? Just seems odd that cool down is a higher HR.... Would appreciate clarification on this. 😊

    Can you run multiple training plans on Garmin ? For example, a 10K running plan and Metric Century coach plan to technically create a Duathlon plan?

    Is there a way to adjust this to heart rate based? I do most of my runs on trails, so my pace is all over the place for this same effort.

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  2 роки тому

      Thank you for your question. While Garmin Coach is based on pace and not heart rate, you can set custom heart rate zones, duration and intensity targets when creating a custom workout in Garmin Connect. For more detailed information on how to achieve this for your particular device, please reach out to our Product Support team at support.garmin.com or 800-800-1020. They will be happy to assist. I hope this helps.

    Question about the 5km plan and how to improve the way i complete my workouts. Let's say i go for a steady state run, as suggested. The window for my pace is quite wide and i usually stick to the quicker end of it. However i am thinking to, maybe, pay attention to my heart rate a bit more.
    What is the consensus on this?

    the confidence score doesnt change. at all. there is certainly no immediate feedback after each training run.

    • @biancaboonen9130
      @biancaboonen9130 2 роки тому

      In my experience the confidence score does changes, it usually happens when you skip some run or when you rate the workouts

      There is marathon training already. You will find it on the online version of Connect but not the phone app. Enjoy.

    Does the watch give spoken instructions about pace , hr zones etc. if connected to my Bluetooth headset?

    • @GarminRetailTraining
      @GarminRetailTraining  2 роки тому

      Thank you for your question. Enabling Audio Prompts either through a capable device, or when a compatible device is paired with the Garmin Connect app, will provide spoken audio alerts from the device through your smartphone's speaker, connected Bluetooth speaker, or connected Bluetooth headset. Configurable alerts include Lap Alerts, Power Alerts (for Power Meter compatible devices), Navigation Alerts (for Edge devices), Pace/Speed Alerts, and Heart Rate Alerts. The following link provides more information and instruction on enabling audio prompts, as well as a compatible device list. I hope this helps. support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=7GKQD46gnB6OqTv10LutJ9

    Hi, I really need help with my Garmin 245 Music. I'm using Garmin Coach and during a coach workout sometimes seems I don't need to touch the watch and sometimes seems I do need to hit a button but I keep doing it wrong ....

      I've had the same issue myself. Usually the screen will change to just having some instructions on it when it is waiting for a lap button press. This tends to be when you need time to prepare for the next step, such as when you need to get back to the bottom of a hill for the next hill repeat. You get used to it after a while.

    I'm doing the plan with coach Amy. Theres a bit of a glitch or badly implemented part on the Tempo run. My goal is 5:12min/Km. The range presented whilst running Tempo is 0:03 to 5:12. The pointer always show I'm running slow as it's expecting an average of 02:30min/Km. Can you please change this as it's mentally counter-productive.

    Have Garmin Forerunner 45. Pick Jeff Galloway, but his "Run Walk Run" method doesnt work on your watch. Watch dont let me know when to run when to walk (during the garmin training). So I just get frustrated and quit!

    Hello!
    Ive been using the Garmin Coach 5k program for some weeks now. And im not 100% sure how pace travelt works.
    I have the Fenix 7 solar edition.
    When im done with warmup, the Main aktivitet starts. The watch changes to a pace trasker mode.
    Its seems like an avrage pace that increase / decresse by 5.
    Which pace is this? Is this the avg pace last mile or last minutt or what does it tell me? What is the changes based on?
    Looking forward to an answer.

    Unfortunately the integration of the garmin coach on the watch is to me rubbish … not intuitive at all.
    It always goes wrong when you need to alternate running and walking sequence
    This is not intuitive and just ruins the experience
    Excellent idea but poor development ….
