    How does the watch notify you of intervals? So if you want to run for 2 minutes and walk for 30 sec, how does the watch tell you to start and stop each interval? Also, does the app record and display starts by interval?

    • @ThePhysioBros
      @ThePhysioBros  Рік тому +3

      Hi Paul! When you’ve got around 5 secs left in each interval it’ll do 5 smaller beeps to count you down. At commencement of the next interval it’ll do a large beep and vibrate. A summary is provided in Garmin app of all the splits (for example how far you ran in each 2 min block).

      Are you going into the workouts section (once you’ve already entered the area right before you start your run) and it’s not there?
      Make sure you’re sending it across from your app to your watch and then syncing it. Also just make sure you’re going to the ‘workouts’ area on the watch instead of ‘intervals’.

    Great video thanks, ive just moved from Apple to Garmin so excuse me if its a repeat question. I'm trying to add a Fartlek, with time and intensity goals, I.E. run for 3 minutes at 5:00-5:20 per KM, followed by a 1:00 recovery, run 2 minutes at 4:30-4:50 per KM followed by recovery Etc. When i press save, it deletes the intensity part and transfers to my watch without the pace goals. Is this a software fault?

    • @ThePhysioBros
      @ThePhysioBros  Рік тому

      I just tested your plan and it worked for me?! I’m assuming you’ve done this but the run segment should have duration type as ‘time’, duration as 3 mins and then intensity target set on ‘pace’ with the speeds above? Then add steps and repeat for your second pace goals. I’d suggest updating your watch and phone software in case it’s glitching.

      Good for more control over content rather than just perfectly structured repeats. Can also base it off calories, heart rate etc, so more variety. But if you’re going for speed then the watch is a great move!

    I tried your set of instructions to create a custom workout. In my case it was exclusively strength training. As soon as tried to save the workout which included a Warmup, Dumbbell Floor Press (3 Rounds/Sets - 8 Reps) Recover (1.5 minutes between each Set) and a Cool Down; I got the following error message “Please select an exercise for each step”. I have no idea how to select an exercise in the one and only Step in my abbreviate workout. Thank you for the video. I learned a few things, but I still can't solve my problem. I'm one of these meditation types and the only thing I want is to set up an interval timer with three vibrations and a buzz. So for example, I want it to vibrate once every 15 minutes for 45 minutes. And then at the 45-minute mark, I want it to buzz or ring. That's all. So far, the best I can do is to have a noisy alarm go off every 15 minutes, and then at the end of 45 minutes have three noisy alarms go off in a row. That's not so comforting. There must be a way to have the watch do what I would like . . . I just can't figure out what it is. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

    I hate that you need to build the workout ahead of time. I am not training for anything, so I do not have a structured schedule. I may show up at the track and just want to do 300M repeats or I may be feeling really good and do a ladder of 2x600 2x400 2x200 2x100 1x800. It seems to me I should be able to hit the track button run, then hit a button again for recovery time to click, and then hit the track button again for lap #2. @@bernardcernea6792 I understand, it may be a bad idea for you, but not necessarily for me. My plans change all the time for things out of my control. Sometimes it's weather-driven, some times it's driven, some times it life driven, and honestly some times its motivation driven. I also have no real running goals. Tell me I want to do hill repeats. I do not know the length of the hill, so I can't set it to a distance. I don't know how long it will take me, so I can't run for 1 minute and stop ( I am not doing Pacer). I want to be able to to start at the bottom run to the top, stop the watch or hit the lap, and then have a recovery timer for 3 minutes in between. which I will start again at the bottom and repeat, I may do it 6 or 8 times depending on how I feel. @@Reddogj123Perhaps you will do it just like me right on the watch. 1. Press 'Start' and you see 'Run'.
      2. Long press the middle left button and short press the lower left button. 3. Press 'Start' and then press the lower left button again. You will see 'Intervals'. 4. Press the lower left button again. And of course, now you will be able to build up a flexible interval training quickly. The only thing you need to know when performing the workout is, that pressing the lap button in the bottom right corner ends your warm-up phase, and the workout starts.
