You have great yap control...You keep making them I will keep watching them. Thank you for the journey's.
Absolutely right! I love everything about these videos. Tried to watch another video of an American Amtrak trip. Couldn’t watch it because the guy wouldn’t shut up!
I have lived 99% of my life on the prairies, and seeing those wide open areas with a huge sky made me so happy. I live in Edmonton, the Alberta city you passed through before you got to the mountains. It is so beautiful here! We have excellent farmland and in the late summer the fields are yellow and gold with grains ready for harvest. I'm glad you got to show this off to your audience! LOL at the outro...that goose followed you the whole way to Vancouver. He's watching you.
As a Canadian, these videos were so funny. So happy you got to visit Canada, and loved your witty honesty about the train quality compared to Japanese rail. Those delays are really something else... 😅
To understand delays you MUST understand the Railway Systems of NA. Neither Amtrak or Via Rail own their trackage. Use of them is under Government Mandated lease from the private rail Cos. Obviously priority is given to their PRIVATELY owned and operated freight trains. Which by the way have expanded in length so they no longer fit in passing sidings. Passenger trains are a nuisance in the eyes of these privately owned freight railways and it is not in their interest to expedite (give priority) to a lowly Paste train. People moving is the luxury of small little densely populated countries. Apples to oranges.
I'm in Manitoba, and I've been watching all these Japanese channels showing elegant efficiency and technology, convenience and exquisite modernism ... and this video is HILARIOUS! Leaky train cars, "fine" dining with shitty little doilies leftover from the 70's, bunch of old white boomers chit-chatting clanking down the track through the bush in this old tin can. LOL.

I’m Canadian, from the prairie region. I was so shocked to see Solo-san travelling in Canada! The train system makes me pretty embarrassed but it’s just not anywhere near as advanced as Japan’s and it probably will never be. Canada’s selling point is definitely the sociability of the people, the scenery and the animals, from the Bouclier Boréal to prairies to rockies. I laughed so hard every time you looked for a beaver. I hope you enjoyed your time in Canada :))) au revoir et à bientôt!
Canada is 2,542% larger than Japan. Japan has 125 million people, Canada, despite its size, has 37 million people. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, that train travel is a far lower priority in our country, given the enormous size of our country. I don't think a multicultural country like ours, needs to take a back seat to Japan, about anything. I love train travel, especially this route, but am irritated by smug comments by people who live in minuscule nations that we are somehow inferior to them because our giant country doesn't have the type of rail service that theirs does.
@@dogmaticagnostic7716 A train from coast to coast is always going to be a little more rugged. But the Quebec City to Windsor corridor in Canada in more densely populated than parts of Europe. It's embarrassing we don't have better train system at least between Montreal and Toronto!

i just want to say how great your channel is, it really is one of a kind since most other solo travel channels are just the person bragging about how much (most likely microwaved) food they ordered, all with some obnoxious royalty free dance music playing, which doesn't tell you anything about the actual travel, while you show the travel, the point of why people clicked on the video.
The journey, although long, seems to be peaceful and silent. The delicious foods. Even comfortable accommodations. The landscapes, fields, lakes, rivers and rocky mountains, fantastic!!!!

Hit home when I saw this videos. All these mountains are so nostalgic and very home to me 🥲 I can remember each of them since I live near here. Thank you for admiring our mountains !!
I appreciate the rather innocuous moments - water insulating in the glass just like in Jurassic Park, your reaching out for a menu, pointing out tree’s that block the sunset. Appreciate the beautiful Rocky Mountains, the soft Canadian accent.
You captured some beautiful video of our country. I couldn't help but laugh a few times at your reactions to things. It was really great to see you experience that train.
Thank you for your delightful videos. I am sick in bed with Covid and this is the best possible content right now - beautiful, calming and funny. I wish you many more subscribers and many more adventures.

Thank you for sharing part 1 and 2 of your training journey across Canada. Though it seemed very expensive, the magnificent scenery (I was excited you saw a wild bear) and incredible food made it worth it. Such an incredible once in a lifetime experience.
Un grand merci de nous avoir fait découvrir cette merveilleuse expérience. Les paysages sont magnifiques, je ne connaissais pas cette partie du Canada. Merci de l'avoir partagé avec nous.
At one time, this same equipment ran a daily 70-hour schedule from Montreal to Vancouver m with through coaces tocand from Toronto. It passed through my home city of Calgary, and took the more scenic route over the Rockies via Banff, Yoho and Glacier national parks. Still, I love this train and try and ride it whenever I can. Coach class is ok for 24 hours or so, the food is pretty good still and you get the dome car up front. If you’re ever looking for another nice Canadian adventure, I’d recommend the ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, then a train ride to Jasper. Fjords, waterfalls, mountains and a much cheaper way to ride the Park car than booking sleeper on the Canadian!
First of all: congrats to reach 500K. Thanks for your content it everytime is sheering me up and your trips really are fun. OK my friend, I have not quite watched until the end, but I had to stop and comment. Your humor is subtle and yet I sat here and laughed out loud in the best way possible. That you ride solo is outstanding. Me too. Your video was so very helpful and much appreciated. Keep it up as I am keen to watch more of your adventures, as a subscriber. Thank you!
Totally fabulous pair of videos. To be fair I think any country would struggle to keep to schedule as well as Japan does . Looks like you enjoyed it and I am so pleased you had the pleasure of this journey outside of your homeland . Keep up the good work x
This made me so homesick! I am American, I grew up in Utah, but I live in Texas now. Specifically I lived in Utah Valley, a basin in the Wasatch Mountain range. Texas (at least where I live) has no mountains. Besides the people the mountains is what I miss most about home. Growing up in a valley I felt so safe and the views are just so stunning. I miss mountains and I miss them being so close.
This episode was definitely my favorite! So, so funny! I love watching you in Japan, but it's great to see you experience such a culture shock. You did it with courage and grace. Congratulations on 500k!! 🎉🎉🎉 💙💙💙
Part 2 did not disappoint- apart from the very pretty scenery I have to say your commentary made this a highlight. (The "beaver?!" jokes in this were too funny, and "what is a couscous" or "melon for breakfast is a menace to society" just took me out). Glad you had a good time!
Actually he should have asked: Please Please, tell me tell me... what what is a couscous ? Some people consider a true societal menace to be when fruit names are used to describe a color.
Congrats for hitting 500,000 subs! Thanks for the wonderful message during the Rocky Mountain scene. Also, I was surprised and happy to see your comment and photos in the last part of the video. Although I was a bit nervious about your trip here in Canada 🇨🇦, I am glad and relieved to know that you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing your experience, and always good luck in your future!
Well it's 3:19 am and I couldn't stop watching this beautiful capturing of yours until it finished. So so kind of you for posting this for people like me who are so badly stuck in daily life routine and can only wish to go for this great lifetime experience. A humble thanks from Pakistan 🇵🇰
I wonder what you'd think of the Caledonian Sleeper or the Night Riviera sleeper here in the UK. Would love to see you review more overseas trips, your sense of humor is top notch!!
Welcome to North American train travel. What I've learned is to just enjoy the extra time on the train and never plan ahead for the day you finally arrive to your final destination.
I started watching your videos back in December when you were at 50k subscribers and your channel has exploded👍 Thanks for keeping your videos fun while focusing on the content. I imagine that by this Christmas, you will have passed the million subscribers milestone. Congratulations on your success🍺

Your videos are always *chef's kiss* . It isn't easy to hold my attention for a half hour long video but you keep everything hilarious and interesting, with amazing scenery shots to boot. You deserve every one of your subscribers!
I had chills as I reminisce my own experience on the Canadian. I hopped on at Edmonton and went to Vancouver over a Christmas holiday. According to the passengers that were on the train from Toronto at the time, 5 days was too long and that starting from Edmonton would have gotten you the experience if you didn't mind missing the flat lands. I also stayed in a roomette and had the same meals that you did on my trip.
Thank you so much for taking us on this journey! I was trying to make a decision between saving longer for the Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Banf or the ride you just took on the Canadian. Thanks for the commentary as you kept the focus on the journey but cleverly added your thoughts. Too many folks prefer to be the center of attention in their videos rather than getting out of the way and allowing the viewer to enjoy the video. We’ll done! I’ll look for more of your videos!
I have just planned a little trip to another state in Australia by Air. After all my years (66) I am facing the TRUTH! I hate organising travel plans air bus or train, and accommodation. You do an amazing job making it look like an easy transition. Great photography.
Thank you for doing this, otherwise I would never see how the earth really is as a whole. there are actually still beautiful places. and your videos are very entertaining even if you don't talk. thanks for the great video. Greetings from Germany
Loved this tour across Canada! A trip I've always wanted to take. Spectacular scenery and enjoyed seeing the dining options. Also appreciated the high production quality and no narration. A+ from my viewing point in Las Vegas.
CAT! o_o Love your sense of humor :) "Bone Apple Tea" needs to be on a t-shirt. What an amazing tour of the abounding beauty of Canada. Would love to be able to enjoy such a trip with family someday.
Great video, Mr.Solo Solo-san. As a Canadian who has visited your Japan,I admit our trains are nothing like yours. Our politicians have never wanted to invest in superior train service so we have to put up with this. The staff on the trains are great and really do their best with what they have. The food is usually pretty good but don't forget, the Canadian is transportation first and an adventure second. If you want to reverse this, try the Rocky Mountaineer. You seemed to enjoy the meals (except the lamb) even though they are very different from Japanese meals. I enjoyed the difference when I was in Tokyo but some of the food was strange (eels ?) Overall I loved Japan ; hope you fell in love with Canada too. Arigatou !!
although i do not live in Canada or Japan, but i am very interested and pleased to watch your videos! you are a very comfortable person and all your videos are very cozy. i want to keep watching. keep up the good work and you'll have 1 million!!

Почему всё так смешно 🤣 « здоровая еда на вид меня пугает» 🤣🤣🤣🤣 спасибо , ваши видео настоящая психотерапия 👍😻💐
Thank you! I travel with you to places where I probably never visit. Unfortunately. What an amazing and beautiful planet we have.
I'd love to try one of those! I only found out recently that we have a sleeper train, would be a cool experience. :)
Ни один мужчина за последние 10 лет не веселил меня так, как Вы в своих милых комментариях к прекрасному видео!!! Благодарю!

Welcome to North American train travel. What I've learned is to just enjoy the extra time on the train and never plan ahead for the day you finally arrive to your final destination.
Your subtitles are always excellent but this could be your funniest video ever. Thanks a million (or at least half a million).
I started watching your videos back in December when you were at 50k subscribers and your channel has exploded👍 Thanks for keeping your videos fun while focusing on the content. I imagine that by this Christmas, you will have passed the million subscribers milestone. Congratulations on your success🍺
Невероятно красива природа Канады❤ спасибо Вам за видео, смотрю с огромным удовольствием
And so Solo-san's great Canadian journey is over.
Those rocky mountain views took my breath away.
広大な風景がとても魅力的でした。ありがとうございます。
your videos are so therapeutic and makes us feel like we are actually there, and i like how you include captions throughout the whole video too! thank you so much for these videos!
Lembrei-me da viagem de trem de Cusco a Águas Calientes/ Machu Picchu no Peru.
Amo viajar de trem! Lamentavelmente são muito caros!
Grata por compartilhar essa viagem maravilhosa comigo!
As you say, all of Canada in a five day tour, with delicious menus, a comfortable quiet cabin, fellow passengers, great train staff..
차창밖으로 흘러가는 풍경이 마치 우리 인생을 고배속으로 움직이는 느낌입니다.
어제와 오늘이 늘 그러하고 밤이 오고 식사 시간이 되고
잘 봤읍니다.
Amazing! Congrats on 500k subs!!!🔥🥳🥳 So pleased to see you out and about. I hope yo have a safe trip and looking forward to seeing your future journeys! ❤
Una sola palabra ESPECTACULAR!!
GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR.
SALUDOS DESDE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO
.🇲🇽❤️🇲🇽
Приятно, увлекательно и весело было с вами прокатиться по Канаде! )
The scenery was so gorgeous!
Well said.
I love this trip and have a plan to watch again in 2 parts. Congrats for yours 500,000. Bravo..!🎉
Loved this tour across Canada! A trip I've always wanted to take. Spectacular scenery and enjoyed seeing the dining options. Also appreciated the high production quality and no narration. A+ from my viewing point in Las Vegas.
I was waiting for part 2 ! Thank you for your videos that are so enjoyable and somehow relaxing ! Keep going ! From France
❤ Que saudades desses vídeos. Amo assistir. Obrigada pequeno Solo, por compartilhar com a gente essa viagem interessante. ❤
CAT! o_o Love your sense of humor :) "Bone Apple Tea" needs to be on a t-shirt.
Arigatou !!
Thanks for sharing this with us! Love your subtitles and I spotted your Interstellar reference haha. Very clever. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Canada
Bone Apple Tea 😁 Thank you for the amazing visuals.
You are very easy to watch, you make me laugh . I love watching all the places you travel. Loved the CAT 😂😂😂🇬🇧
Все путешествия очень увлекательные! Природа Канады уникальная. Отличное путешествие. Спасибо!❤🎉😊

Out of all the "solo travel" accounts, you're easily my favorite! So much fun watching your content
Thank you for coming to Canada! I watch all your videos of travelling in Japan. You're right, the scenery was jaw dropping! I lived in BC when I was a kid and we have camped our way from Ontario to BC a few times..........so gorgeous
Finally part 2! I'm so excited!
