I love these travelogues. At 80 years of age, my brain says let's do this; my body says, forget about it; my wallet says you gotta be kidding me. That said, thanks for the ride. I was worried after your last couple of Amtrak experiences, but I'm happy for you that this trip seemed to go much more smoothly! My word, the scenery along this route is unbelievable. What a great video, I absolutely loved the scenery as it changed from state to state. I have to decide if I would want to try this 1 because 3 days is pretty long.
I took this trip about 60 years ago when the California Zephyr was part of the Burlington Line. The dome car was the popular place to spend the day. The meals in the dining car were served on china and hotel silver. Took the same trip in 2013 with my husband. No dome car. No bar car. Food was ok; nothing to rave about. I don’t recall the china and utensils being even as nice as what appeared in these photos. Once the sun had set, we were in for a long, boring evening. Fortunately, the daytime views were stunning; that time passed very quickly.
I did this trip in the opposite route. It was truly a phenomenal experience. Yes, the accommodations leave something to be desired, but the views along the way make up for it. I was in tears going through the mountains at times.

Mark 1:15 For the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe in the gospel...
This was the best footage of this route I've ever seen! Thank you so much for this, and i hope you enjoyed your time here in the US! Were people kind? What did you miss the most?
That's why I love living in Colorado. It has all of that beautiful scenery.
I've wanted to make this trip for so
long! Now, thanks to your video, I know *when* to take it!!
I live on this route. Fall in Colorado is the best. The first snow is Halloween, so late September/early October is usually peak aspen leaf-peeping.
The overall view is majestic. Thanks for documenting your trip. May God bless you.
America is such a beautiful continent, it makes me wish that I could travel and see those sights myself.
Once again, missing out because of my disabilty :(
Thank you! I live in Austin, TX and my daughter goes to University in Chicago…we’ve thought about riding the Texas Eagle but I’m nervous about the quality. Looking forward (as always) to riding with you and seeing the trip firsthand! ❤❤❤
I always look forward to your videos and they relax me and remind me of the trips I've taken so far. I think Amtrak's prices are insane, and most people won't be able to afford it. However, the US has stunning landscape and the train ride is definitely a great way to take it all in.
he's taking us on a trip for free. such a gentleman.
I remember riding the Amtrak train from Chicago to Texas and the train experience was amazing
you said you were going to travel, and you did! i am so happy for you!! the amtrack train was definitely the best train out of all the north american trains (adding the canadian one because i can lol) and it had the best food. loved all the views, though. many thanks for taking us along, ss!
You start vibrating when you're happy !
When he’s happy or irritated his hand shakes so you know pretty funny
I remember the first time I went to the deserts out west (I was in Utah) and my reaction was much like yours. The scenery was so devastatingly glorious that I could barely believe something like it could even exist on Earth
Colorado is amazing, the scenery changes colors.
Glad to see you enjoying your time here!!!
Thanks for sharing. My daughter and I traveled from SF enroute to ATL. Our first train was on the Zephyr. Very scenic, the staff were great, the food and our room, although it was small was a wonderful experience.
1 word to describe the ever changing sceneries - majestic 👍🏼
There are lots of California Zephyr videos on UA-cam but this is one of the best, Thanks for sharing.

The Railroad French Toast is a very popular breakfast item on Amtrak, and it's good to see that it's served on a proper plate (on routes with Traditional Dining service), even when delivered to one's sleeping car compartment.
I really like that you occasionally show us a map/route update on your phone. It's a little thing, but I appreciate it. Looks like a beautiful route to travel, and I hope you enjoyed San Francisco!
Welcome to my home area. I know you value your anomality, so we were not able to meet. Glad to see you enjoyed trains and the scenery of the Great American West. Thanks for visiting.
I think he liked this trip a good deal more than his earlier visit. America is truly an impressive nation! I hope that one day he drops the anonymity, so we can know him in person. 🤝
I am so glad you are coming to SF!!! I have been watching your videos about all kinds of Japanese rides for a while, now you are coming to San Francisco where I live!!!!
I could watch Mr. Solo enjoy train food every night before bed!
First USA train you've been on I'd genuinely travel there for to take myself. Wow! Thanks for taking us along!
The food in this video looks far better than the food I had when I traveled there in May 2020.
One of my Goals cross America on a train. In my sixties now Hopefully soon I can cross it off my list.
I'm always enjoying watching. I hope you can move safely and healthily! From your Korean fans🇰🇷
17:54 It looks like that is the “Mexican soufflé”, an egg dish with peppers, black beans, and corn.
you cannot beat train travel. super !
Thanks for your vedio, I can see the world from it, greetings from Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, China.
What a great trip. And yes perfect timing, trying California Zephyr on Autumn/Fall season.
As a european, i've actually covered quite a lot of miles in the USA, some pieces actually very close to the California Zephyrs route... amazing to actually recognize places you've rolled by in the train. Thanks for the video!
The scenery was truly beautiful with all the beautiful colors, thank goodness the door wasn't rattling like the last lol at least you got a chance to have some yummy food and a beautiful sunrise thanks for sharing and stay safe my friend 😷
Yummy food on Amtrak? lol
🌹☕
10:53 French toast, bacon & orange juice? Yup. In America, we eat dessert for breakfast. Taste like freedom! Beautiful journey!

Beautiful. Wonderful. Only downside is. Can’t get out and stop at a site you find breathtaking. We drove NYC to Santa Cruz, then down to LaJolla and back. Man- what a trip -2 am in the desert with some beer etc, nobody in site. Set off fireworks laying on the ground looking up at billion of stars. This looks next best.
Wow, your video is absolutely stunning. You captured some amazing scenery on this trip. P.S. - I'm obsessed with the sky/clouds. And such wonderful colors. Fantastic video.
So many people who come visit America just go to the cities and unfortunately miss out on the stunning beauty of our country
This is the most charming and beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I hope I will have a chance to see it in the future!🥰
What a great video, I absolutely loved the scenery as it changed from state to state. I have to decide if I would want to try this 1 because 3 days is pretty long.
This looks like a wonderful trip. a couple of days enjoying beautiful scenery and relaxing and eating.
Great video as always Mr. Solo Solo!
The video was released 4 minutes ago. You didn't even have enough time to watch the whole video yet. Empty words from an empty head.

Fortunately, the daytime views were stunning; that time passed very quickly.
is that type of experience left in the US ?
Incredible train ride & beautiful journeys, great video, I’m motivated to take this trip, thanks for sharing your awesome upload.👍🏽💗
So glad I found your channel. I get to travel while at home 😊.
Thank you, for sharing your traveling with us.
Hope you enjoyed The US.
Hermosos paisajes y muy rica comida. Saluditos desde Monterrey México.
I did this trip in the opposite route. It was truly a phenomenal experience. Yes, the accommodations leave something to be desired, but the views along the way make up for it. I was in tears going through the mountains at times.
Solo solo-san... I can't believe i found this channel. You are so fun and happy. Im from NY, USA and love your videos
At last, Amtrak didn't totally disappoint Solo Solo!! Glad you enjoyed the trip!
Holy moly, you came back to the US?! Nani?! At least this time you got to see the Rockies and the Colorado plateau!
You know how I first heard about Salt Lake City and Denver? It was from a movie where a guy wanted to destroy Denver... Using a train!
Also, next time any of us are at that Emeryville station, Emeryville Public Market across the street with pretty good food.
