Great vid!! Do you by any chance still have the link to the genuine solenoid you bought?

We bought it at the local main dealer - regret doing so, as that ended up not being our issue - try a 10 euro on on Amazon first !

Fantastic content mate, Would you know if the 1995 Pagero 28 automatic have the same issue? I have the middle light flashing when the dif is not locked. the problem is I can't find an original solenoid for sale. May I ask if you have a supplier?

We bought on Amazon - then cocked up (as the Amazon one turned out to be fine) and paid 10 x for an OEM 🤡

Have you ever heard of an XTrail T31 getting stuck in 4WD.
No flashing lights on dash but it is driving rough after a slave cylinder replacement.

Sorry, cannot give you an answer from factual experience to narrow it down - all I can find is this generic lot :
The Nissan X-Trail T31 can get stuck in 4WD (four-wheel drive) mode for several reasons. Here are some common causes:
Faulty 4WD Switch or Selector: If the switch or selector that controls the 4WD mode is malfunctioning, it may not send the correct signal to the 4WD system to disengage.
Electrical Issues: Problems with the vehicle's electrical system, such as a blown fuse or a faulty wiring connection, can prevent the 4WD system from functioning properly.
Transfer Case Problems: The transfer case is responsible for distributing power between the front and rear wheels. Mechanical issues within the transfer case, such as worn or damaged components, can cause it to get stuck in 4WD mode.
Actuator Failure: The actuator is a component that engages and disengages the 4WD system. If the actuator fails, it may not be able to switch the system out of 4WD.
Control Module Issues: The control module that manages the 4WD system could have a software or hardware malfunction, leading to the system being stuck in 4WD.
Vacuum or Hydraulic Problems: Some 4WD systems use vacuum or hydraulic pressure to engage and disengage. Leaks or failures in these systems can cause the 4WD to stay engaged.
Sensor Issues: The 4WD system relies on various sensors to determine the appropriate mode. If a sensor is faulty or providing incorrect data, the system may stay in 4WD.
Mechanical Linkage Problems: Mechanical linkages that engage and disengage the 4WD system can become stuck or damaged, preventing proper operation.
      Troubleshooting Steps
Check the 4WD Switch: Inspect and test the 4WD switch for proper operation. Replace if necessary.
Inspect Fuses and Wiring: Check all related fuses and wiring connections for any signs of damage or corrosion.
Examine the Transfer Case: Look for any signs of wear or damage in the transfer case. A professional mechanic may need to inspect and repair it.
Test the Actuator: Verify that the actuator is functioning correctly. Replace if it is faulty.
Scan for Error Codes: Use an OBD-II scanner to check for any error codes that might indicate a problem with the 4WD system.
Check for Vacuum/Hydraulic Leaks: Inspect the vacuum or hydraulic system for any leaks or damaged components.
Inspect Sensors: Test and replace any sensors that are not working correctly.
Examine Mechanical Linkages: Check the mechanical linkages for any signs of wear or damage and repair as needed.

I’ve got the same flashing,I’ve replaced all the vacuum lines and tank,I’ve checked the soulinoids and there clicking when I put 12volts to them and the actuator is moving freely when I put pressure to them however I don’t seem to be getting any volts to the soulinoids plugs????? Should I change the soulinoids control module and if so do I need to get the new one coded to the pick up ????😢

    Hey Mate I got a MK Triton 2005 V6 Petrol Auto 4x4.
My 4-wheel drive light all sudden flashing lightly and going away than coming back when driving in 2H. this all happened when my mechanic did a intake manifold gasket change, Map sensor clean, spark plug coil leads and thats pretty much it and told me that the 4x4 light was flashing.
Any ideas, what's going on with my lovely ute?
could it be a front actuator malfunction or Sensor in the transfercase ?
Thanks looking forward for a reply.

@@adamthewolf756 My main thought about this would be vacuum lines. Especially having removed the intake manifold I would suspect that a vacuum line has been missed or damaged.
I’ve had it a vacuum line split with my truck.
I’d recommend getting a vacuum diagram from a forum or google and do a visual inspection on them all,
This is the best place to start, if there’s no issue maybe then look into a sensor or actuator.
      Many thanks

@@DrivenMadShow Thanks mate I honestly think this might be the problem my actuator is fairly old never changed its still stock one same with the solenoid.
Car done 235,000 km on the clock do you think its coming to its near end of life ?

@@adamthewolf756 Well mine is the 2.5 diesel and has done nearly 300,000km. Strong as a horse engine wise! I’m not familiar with the v6 but if it’s been maintained well it shouldn’t be an issue.
Thanks again for the comments 👍

PS for sure check all the vacuum lines - some on mine are really hidden behind the engine - I missed a tiny (pin hole) in one at the back, replaced actuator, sensor and still had the problem - credit where credit is due - the old boy found it as I was 100% all lines were good and gave up on that possibly being an issue - I had replaced them all (so I thought !!)

Mine doesn't engage... they said it is this solonoids, but i came upon 2 wires that is broken of bottom right just behind the tire. So i don't know if it can be those wires...

    • @DrivenMadShow
      @DrivenMadShow  2 місяці тому +1

Not sure what they are, hopefully thats a quick fix if they head to the solenoid - changing the vacuum lines is easy, just takes time and make sure you get the ones at the back of the engine - missed one myself and spent a bit on things that were fine🙈

@@DrivenMadShow it looks like they are going to a vacuum tube. It is black and looks like a vacuum chamber. I will trace them and see if they go from the solonoids to that chamber. It been bugging me fornway to long.

When green light flashing, it means the High 4X4 activated when not selected.

    • @DrivenMadShow
      @DrivenMadShow  6 місяців тому

Usually yes. But in my case the gearing all works fine but the light kept flashing. 2H 4H and 4L all worked fine.

@@DrivenMadShow What I mean is that if flashing green 4WD, vehicle default to 4H. Its a safety thing. By the way, your e-mail address doesn't work that is listed on your UA-cam channel page. Tried to send picture but bounced back unknown.
