Fantastic! I’ve always found essays totally daunting and confusing to write and plan. So many teachers at school tried to explain how it was done, but it never made sense to me. This video just absolute sense! I feel much more confident about some essays I’ll be writing soon! Thank you!
@@stephespi8373 The PEEL method is how you structure every paragraph in the essay, so yes you would use evaluation and link in your conclusion but you should also use them in your previous paragraphs in order for your structure to be consistent. If you’re struggling with applying them elsewhere here’s just a reminder of what they mean: • Evaluation is providing an opinion about whether the question/statement is true and whether you agree with it. • Link is linking back to the question/statement. I hope this helps and I hope I’ve explained it clear enough because I’ve been quite sleep deprived recently, so I apologise if I’m rambling a bit!😭💕

I’ve actually yet to be required to write an essay, but have managed to hang in there with kids half my age, and have carried close to a 3.8 so far. Wish I would’ve just showed up and never gave up when I was younger.

If the topic is "What makes a good parent", is it required to write with the singular pronoun "he/she" or can we choose either the singular pronoun "he/she" or the plural pronoun"they"?

I tried this out, and to prove this is legit, take a look at my teacher's feedback: "You have done a wonderful job of picking a topic about {topic} and then drafting a clear research paper over it. You begin with a wonderful introduction that ends with a clear and effective thesis statement. Your middle paragraphs include evidence to support your thesis. And, your conclusion begins with a re-worded thesis statement, nicely sums up the main points, and ends with a new understanding. "
