In Poland you don't pay to use the bathroom at gas stations and shopping malls. At restaurants, theaters, any kind of offices you don't pay, but you can only use them if you're a customer. We pay at train stations and at any separate toilet facility. They're always clean.
Not always true. Last year I ve been to Krakow. Toilet at the main train station was very expensive and busy. We went shopping mall toilet every each was very very busy too and they also ask for money. Less but still. On the other hand, it might be a good idea as the were soooo many people using it and for that reason needed more attention.
Well, socks and sandals are a meme in Poland too ngl. Mostly over 50 yo guys with a moustache wear them.
About the money, you have the tray, but people usually give it from hand to hand (although we pay mostly by card).
95% of people don't have bidets, that's more of a southern European thing.
My young son likes to wear them too with sandals. Well, it hot days in towns is not so pleasant when sandals are hurting your toes and so on. Especially we getting sandals made of plastic!!! Plastic and +35C or more no thank you.
Let's not forget that models on catwalks sometime were just wearing that - socks and sandals ( high heels) and that was horrible.
Bidets.... they were first, to clean your bottom. Paper was used to dry it.
In East - Japan and other countries they have toilets which wash your bottom automatically, then dry.
I am German an I love bidets (unfortunately we don`t have them around enough). And here is why: If a bird poops on your hand, are you happy with just wiping it off with some paper or would you rather use water to rinse it off? Same principle 😜 As for the Polish language: It is very diffigult for me, it is like they are missing half the vocals in each word! 😉
These gaps are ridiculous. For air circulation and safety, we have gaps in Europe, but horizontal ones, a maximum of 8 inches from the ground, and that's all. I think you have lazy or unskilled installers, certainly not Poles, because for us privacy at number 2 is sacred. Greetings
HAHA. the worst part is when you make eye contact. I will avoid going number 2 in public as much as I can. I think you are right about the unskilled installers. Not all bathrooms have 2 in gaps between them... Made in America🤔
I wear socks and sandals in my house all the time lol.
Trev is in Poland now.
