Thank u I tool my heavy duty backpack and put my 110lv weights in it that works really well or I loop my rope around my barbell and place my plates on each end and that keeps my bar bell from rolling thank you
Your videos are just the tutorials I was looking for. I am a beginner at battle ropes and that bag solution seems to be the one that could work for me.
u guys could use kettle bells too to attach your ropes if you dont wanna drill holes into your floors.. just make sure get the heaviest. so it wont move while your workinh out
How heavy will that be? I live in an apartment so drilling holes in floors or walls is NOT gonna work for me so i HAVE to do this method. But i dont know how heavy it should be. Im not strong enough to do anything heavier than 50lbs yet
I realize everyone won't be able to do this, but I screwed an Eye-bolt into a retaining wall and use a strap with a carabiner to anchor the battle rope to that.
I work my biceps triceps chest and shoulders 3 times a week as well as running twice a week....how would i incorporate a battle rope into my workout without sacrificing resting my muscles?
I have written several articles and made a few videos answering this. I am now active on Living.Fit here: ua-cam.com/channels/Ktpcdmm6uJzJXbLSlsmpHw.html
I’m using a single rope for pulling sled but I don’t like tying and untying the knot. I’ve thought about the strap like you showed but I wasn’t sure if it would stay cinched since I’m pulling and stopping constantly. Have you done intermittent pulls with a weight sled?
Does the Anchor have to be at the lowest point? Mine came with a bracket that I mounted to the wall and is about 3 ft off the ground. That seems to high?
Glad I found your channel. Another obvious question: What thickness of battle rope should I invest in? I'm a very fit 6'3", 230 lb guy. Will a 1.5" do? Or should I be looking at a 2"? Thanks in advance.
1.5 will be good as long as you move forward toward the anchor...which forces you to produce more power output in order to get the waves to the anchor. You would also be okay with using a 2 inch rope, considering your size and fitness level.
Thanks for such a quick response. I live in an apartment, so the longest I could use would be 40'. I've got a line on a 30' at a fantastic price, but it's a 1.5". Maybe I'm overthinking this. LOL
BOOM! There We Have It! Balls on the screen.
He never heard of shorts.
I came to the comments to make sure I wasn’t the only one 😂😂
Why is he so breathless.
Great video dude, quick question though... why must ya balls be looking us dead in the face for a full 5 minutes?
Sorry mate...the unfortunate side-effect of the ground-level shot.😆😂
We are so pleased with the hiring of Aaron Guyett for our battle ropes programs, content, and breakdowns.

This was helpful. I just got a battle rope and I was curious what to use to keep it in place. Thanks!
Great advice men!!!!!!
Glad it was helpful!

How heavy do you suggest ?
Very good sir
I've seen someone who laid the kettlebells on it's side so the handles were closer to the floor.
Yes. I have done it as well. Unfortunately, the bell tends to move around a lot with that.
I realize everyone won't be able to do this, but I screwed an Eye-bolt into a retaining wall and use a strap with a carabiner to anchor the battle rope to that.
Thanks great advice
Very helpful, thank you
We love Aaron Guyett!
You are very welcome. I do all my new videos through Living.Fit.
Rucksack works pretty well for me
It is a great alternative!
Great advice!

What type of screwdriver to install it
So kettlebell anchor isnt good ?
Excellent video, now where do u buy your rope?
You can buy them from Living.Fit
U.K. Chain plate ring £1.38 from toolstation works well and it’s not OTT
Where can I find how to do the knots so I can make a strap with loops at the ends?

What kettle weight you reccomend will stay anchored while using battle ropes that won't move when using them? Thinking the heavier the better.
32kg or higher
Would a 28kg dumbbell work by putting the rope under the bar and moving the dumbbell so it's facing you? I don't have the rope yet so I'm not sure.
Turns out NO, but I have a pair of the dumbbells and they stack up nicely which works well as an anchor.
Can you wrap it around a tree or pole, or maybe not 🤔
Of course, why not?
Yes try it at the base of the tree
Yep!
Yes.
Does the Anchor have to be at the lowest point? Mine came with a bracket that I mounted to the wall and is about 3 ft off the ground. That seems to high?
3 feet is a bit too high. We recommend ground level, up to 12 inches.
Closer to the ground is better.
How can I store battle ropes outside? Is there a storage container I can use to protect from weather?
If I stored them outside, I would just put them in a bucket or plastic bin that protected it from the weather
Thick zip ties work well too
Will tension bands work?
Unfortunately, no. I made a video about this on Living.Fit: ua-cam.com/video/8ifPFR_20hY/v-deo.html
So would say the military pack is overall best anchor system of all shown?
Yes or sandbag.
Yes, or the sandbag.
how heavy should 50 feet a battle rope be
Any where from 20 pounds to 44 pounds.
Boom! There we have it! Lmao.
What does boom mean? An explosive device like my neighbour lets off? This man has no explosion. No gun.
how heavy should the kettle bell be?

battle rope can build muscles? it can transform your body?
This breaks it down.
Yes. Check out the article and video I did about this here: garagegymexperiment.com/2019/11/09/building-muscle-with-battle-ropes/

50mm with 12 meters. Is what i have. Its works me out very well. I originally wanted the 15 meter rope. But deffo go for the 50mm thickness
That's a Larks Head knot. Not a half hitch.

You are so winded, but I enjoyed this videoy son loves ropes. I love the balls, kettle balls that is😂
I anchor my battle rope to 3 40lb bags of salt.
good idea but he does not show himself using the ropes
There are a hundred other videos of him using the ropes.
I anchored mine down to a strap on being worn by my lesbian mother in law. I got a good workout and she got a good rub out.
