Hi , I am from Sheffiels Beach, Salt Rock, Dolphin Coast in South Africa. All very useful tips.enjoyed the one about the bathroom drains most. Observed my wife using Salt water to lettuce leaves to get rid of worms or other insects and quickly rinses with normal water.❤
Thank you for the tips, appreciated. I would like to add that salt can be used with water as a saline to clean wounds. In my culture salt is also used to drive away evil spirits.
I clean my cast iron with the cheapest salt one can find. It’s a great way to pre season your pans too! Never use dish soap and keep a separate sponge for your cast iron pans!
Thank you for these tipps. some of them i knew, yet a few i learned now. for i do know, salt is a very good neutralizer. Just as I use it, I add sodabicarbonate / baking soda to the salt. It does wonders. = From Hungary.
I am a Maldivan, watching from Maldives. Actually i always use salt in my sink and it helps. Also for various other reasons to clean the stain from clothes. Thank you
I knew about using salt on the surface of an iron BUT salt can be used to scrub the surface of blackened pots and pans. It makes them shiny too! And removes the black on pots and pans quickly too! I didn’t know about the drain and so I am definitely going to try it!

Salt added to warm water and gargaled down your throat, but not swallowed will help clear up flem and congestion in your lungs. Also, if you put salt in the water when you boil eggs peeling will come off easier. 😊
I’m from the US and if you want to stop those pesky little brown ants from invading your kitchen just sprinkle some iodized salt along the bottom of the backsplash where it meets the countertop. The ants won’t walk through it
Hello, I'm from The United States. If you have pets in your home, sprinkle salt on carpets ,rugs, furniture and more. Leave it over night and vacuum it up in the morning. Salt cleans the glass canister from a coffeemaker quick and spotless. Add 1-2 tbsp, sliced lemon, and ice cubes in canister and swirl till clean then rinse with water.
@@Fairies00…. I was going to say the same thing. It helps with fleas I’ve heard. I don’t have any in my house. I have a dog but I make sure that he’s fine.
Salt is also good for removing tea stains from cups. Just dampen a scrubbing pad and sprinkle salt on the sponge and scrub the cup. I also use it on ice outside my front door. Also chefs use it in the kitchen when they spill greave on the floor they throw salt across it to prevent slipping until someone is ready to wash it up. Salt is also good for healing your gums when you get teeth out. I put a teaspoon of salt in a cup of like warm water, stir and gargle to swish it around my gums and spit it out and the gums heal and harden quicker
Thanks I found two new uses for salt recently. If I have vinegar but no baking soda to mix to steep rusty tools overnight in I use salt with the vinegar as a replacement for the baking soda. I now pour very hot water not boiling water into my drain in the sink with some washing up liquid then pour salt into the drain while it is hot and leave for 15-30 minutes and then pour hot water down it to flush it off to keep my drain free from clogging up
For any size tree stumps. Drill a bunch of holes into the top of the tree stumps and pour table salt or rock salt into the holes. It will rot the tree stump. My tree cutting man told me that one. From Tennessee.

I have used salted water mouth wash to sort out tooth ache. I had a root canal redone, but within a year I had pain and a small infection again. My dentist gave me antibiotics but it did not work. She said I either had to get the root canal redone or get the tooth pulled out. However she said “let’s try this first”. She told me to do a mouthwash with salted water 2 or 3 times a day. Within 2 days the pain was gone. For a year or two as soon as I thought I had some pain I did this immediately. Not any issues since. I keep an eye on it but finger crossed it has been few years now. I was very Impressed at how efficient it was. I am lucky my dentist gave me this advice. Most dentists just would have pushed to get me to have an expensive procedure for profit!
