      Hmmm. When I was their age, I didn't have to Constantly worry at school that someone was going to burst thru the door with a gun and blow us away. I'd rather not have an Android and be certain that someone wasn't going to shoot me during Chemistry.

      I just went to Iceland for holiday. No guns there and 2-3 murders for the entire country for an entire year. I also live in Taiwan, also super low murder rate, and it's so safe and boring here, we have to watch your murders on our news. America is on it's own within the developed world for all this gun violence. YES, you guys failed YOUR kids.

      Jakeeyy1009 I watched the video you linked. Do you seriously get your news intake from videos like this? Do you consider that as unbiased fact based information? First, the guy is probably also never been in Sweden and second, did you see what kind of videos he also did? Do you also take Alex Jones videos for reference?
      Sorry, but "proving" your opinion with small bits of published information from all kinds of sources, often without context, quote statistics also without naming the source and the context, and display "references" so short nobody has time to really read them is not really what I would call a trustworthy source of information.

Illegality of slavery has zero to do with guns or gun availability. Tougher gun laws are a good thing and every single country that has enacted these laws has seen drastic reductions in mass shootings, and no, they didn't become slaves.

    Similar thing happened when a ship with highschoolers on a school trip sank some years ago in my country. It’s as if the whole Peter Pan thing became real. Who are the children and who are the Pirates Now? And just like that, it creates an image that the love, the innocence, and lack of the corruption from riches is something people lose as they grow up. It’s a wake up call. I always felt that people should realize that following anything that requires us to care less about the lives of our fellow people are things we as a people need to avoid. To me, it is THE prime directive as a species who wants to not die a villain. Seeing so many people fail to do that and get in power really makes things seem bad. But seeing the cross-country support was just a great show of love for which I just have to love these kids back for. I practically teared up just knowing such a heart-felt group, in a new generation, is part of our future.

      Teens are capable of a lot of things. A high school student body officer probably got the leaders of the school on board, then got the school on board, and next thing you know you have a protest. It is easy to say a time, date, and get a debate team to talk. The tricky part is, many adults do not see teenagers as reasonable people, so they tend to ignore them.

They may as well be making paper airplanes and shooting spitballs. The kids from the shooting are working harder right now than our politicians have for the entire past year. And on a lighter note...
      When Trump won the election it was reported the porn sales in Trump states skyrocketed. This IS their base. So... whyyyy THIS issue? What's the deal?

      It's especially useful to point out considering we in France have had a history of young people protesting and engaging in political activism. We know fully well as a country that, yes, "17 year olds can organize a rally". I'm 28 today, I was in high school from 2005 to 2008 and participated in such affairs at least twice in that time. The years after that I went to college and wouldn't you know, there I engaged in the same kind of activities twice in a two-year span.
      None of those were about anything as ridiculously bad as 8 occurences of *fucking students being fucking shot at fucking school* in less than two fucking months, pardon my French.

      Wow! You passed this off as kids want to skip school for a day? The nerve you have. When I was in school, we had a bus shot at, and several bomb threats. Once there was an issue with kids loading guns in a bathroom. I think I'll take their word for this issue over your agenda ploy for no new gun measures.
      There was no stability in my school. I couldn't learn in my school. I dropped out three times. Kept going back to learn something I could take with me. I loved to learn. You gun nuts ruined my education. If your priority one as an animal is survival first, then how can learning be the priority? I'll be candid, I never went to school to hang out. I wanted to learn everything. Learned very little there.

      For example, look at Donald Trump's speeches. Tell me honestly that he doesn't use a script.
      People can say their own speech and still use a script. Not everyone has to dedicate every single word to memory.
      If you're in a play, acting, you're LESS likely to use a script than if you're giving a speech you wrote yourself.

    As a European I can´t understand why US folks call adolescents "children". Over here in Germany people are considered to be "children" until they are 13, after that they´re "adolescents" or "teenagers" or "juveniles", but NOT "children". It´s not only semantics, but they actually have a different legal status than children under the age of 13. To call 16,17,18 yo people "children" sounds weird to me, like it would sound weird if somebody called 8-12yo children "toddlers".

They saw their friends being killed in front of their eyes for fuck's sake, and the adults that took away part of their agency branding them as mere "children" are doing nothing, nothing, if not worse. It's damn time American teenagers make themselves heard loud and clear.

    Someone might want to point out that if your legislature doesn't believe that their high-schoolers are not in fact capable, almost adult persons, then maybe they have done a miserable job educating them. How old are those "kids"? 15? 16? Older than that? If your students are about to reach voting age soon, maybe it shouldn't be assumed that they are too young to understand politics, let alone the ability of forming their own informed opinions.

    These kids, and others like them, is why I still believe in America. Why I still have hope for the future even during these times where those who are suppose to represent the people of our nation benefit from harming us. A candle burns brightest before going out; that's what I believe the Trump era is. A last stand of a dying breed who refuse to see that the world has changed and is still changing for the better, and wears that ignorance like a badge of honor.
    I am so PROUD of these kids, and I hope that future leaders will pave the way for a better America and not make the next generation pay for the mistakes of the past. #TheAmericaIStillBelieveIn

    • @ragecontrol2874
      @ragecontrol2874 6 років тому +9

      "chemically dependant on prescription medications..." Hmm I wonder why... it's not like there's an option out there that could be used to help them that's healthier and has little to no side effects but unfortunately the powers in place feel that it's "evil". Also that little quip of the tide pod challenge is ridiculous. The majority of everyone who saw it, knew it was stupid. That's why it was being called out by everyone. Your judging an entire generation on the stupid actions of the very few. Mumble rap is a personal taste if someone likes it, so be it. I personally hate it, but music has changed constantly over millenia. Fleek is also something that comes along with the changing of the times. It's slang. Slang has practically been around since the spoken and written languages were created. Just by reading what you typed it's no surprise that you're ignorant of information because you simply refuse to actually take time to think before coming to a conclusion.

    • @wormdirt532
      @wormdirt532 6 років тому +1

      Rage Control, and aren't you judging an entire group of gun owners on the actions of the very few? Knives and DWI's kill way more people than firearms yet there's no mass movement to ban alcohol or knives. Those same kids protesting "evil AR's" are going to go out to parties and clubs and ingest the same poison that's killing thousands, but that's ok, right? Yet I'm the ignorant one? Grow and wake the fuck up! Oh and the little "quip" is something called "sarcasm" which used to be a lot more understood before the delicate sensibilities of the younger generations deemed it "not PC". C'mon, think outside the box.
