He specifically said he would end the special interest monopoly in DC. Instead, he gave special interests a prominent spot in the white house. I agree that Trump jokes are kinda overplayed currently, but only because he hasn't had another major scandal recently so all the jokes feel very similar.
Member berries it's important for the media to put the spotlight on all these heinous acts that Trump is doing. he is filling his cabinet with Russian/Communist-friendly goons who are Ceos and "swamp" people. Otherwise America would be ignorant as it is naturally.

A lot of the positions _do_ require Senate confirmation. Along with that, the candidates must pass FBI, IRS and ethics committee investigations. And the real icing on cake, they have to submit financial disclosure forms XD So the President never reveals _his_ taxes, but all his appointments have to by law. Pretty much it's every major position he picks (save chief of staff... that's pretty much _his_ assistant so no confirmation)
