- Gordon Murray Automotive's second car is the T.33. Fitted with the same V12 as the T.50, just detuned slightly, and revving to over 11,000rpm the car is due to debut soon. At the 81st Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport, the T.33's development mule, nicknamed James, made a thrilling track debut as it screamed around the Motor Circuit.

🥸 Both worth a watch! 🥸
I cannot believe something sounding this cool is being released this day in age. Incredible.
Have you heard the Pagani Huayra R sound?
@@alexshank1414To be fair, the Huayra R is a track-only machine.
@@FAT8893 True. But no stipulations were made if it mattered whether it was road legal or track only.
That's the sound Formula one needs today
Now THAT would be an event that would bring a tear to my eye.
YES!!
With synthetic fuels coming up, could be a possibility in the future
Couldn't agree more.
Cars in general, really. Turbocharged engines with pops and bangs and crackles can't beat a high revving naturally aspirated engine.
I love Gordon's dedication to making a car without gawdy aero. Seems like it cooperates with the air rather than command it.
Thank Gordon Murray for keeping the V12 Singing 👏🏾💯
And cosworth
Murray
@mickeyduvel lol easy mistake sorry sir.
@@am0gus1488 very true
Looks like a 60's car with the size and curved lines. Gorgeous gorgeous car
WHAT A SOUND..>!!!!!!
The frequency de_calcified my pineal gland 😮
I think the Goodwood GRRC logo kind of looks like a pineal gland
I didn’t really like how the other cars looked but I really like this T33.
Now THIS is Podracing !
SUCH A MARVEL OF ENGINEERING. THANK YOU GORDAN FOR A VERY MUCH UNDER APPRECIATED MASTERPIECE.
The sound is phenomenal, I think we can all agree on that. But something about the modest yet incredibly sleek body lines speaks to me. It has some GT40 and Chaparral 2D DNA somewhere in there.
Amazing supercar Gordon Murray build😊
Stunning amazing car. What a noise 😊
Glorious sound and gorgeous car!
Such a glorious, smooth sound! Wonderful stuff.
Gordon Murray is an artist and these are his works
Smiling/grinning front end is your face when you're behind the wheel of this car.
That sounds AMAZING ❤❤❤
That sounds insane.
Elegant monster
What a wonderful car...
Heavenly
Wow this is cool
Fabulous ❤ 😊
T.33 Spyder vai ser o carro mais lindo já feito, imagina ouvir esse V12 11.000 rpm sem teto e com a entrada de ar bem em cima da sua cabeça
Seems to have a lot of body roll for a supercar and apparently it doesn't have adaptive dampers, nor even a rear anti-roll bar. I'm sure the reasoning comes down to "weight" but I'd be interested in how much weight that saves. Definitely a pure analog supercar experience with RWD, manual, V12
The T.33 Spider is the most beautiful supercar today.
Cor! sounds just like a racing car!
Angels singing!
❤
Does it almost look like it says Dodge on the back of the mule.. haha.. ❤️🍑😎 amazing sounding car!
My name is T.33. James T.33
Is this the new MR2 ?
Chuck it's your cousin Berry, Marvin Berry. You know that new F1 sound you're looking for? Well listen to this!!
It's certainly got plenty of ground clearance.
thats what you want in a race car!
lap time?
@1:28 😮💨
Nobody talking about the windshield wiper 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴
Yeah what the hell's up with that?
@@dielaughing73 aerodynamics
Nobody today builds engines like Cosworth or cars like Gordon Murray.
Sounds insane, but why doesn’t it have the rear fan?
T.50 has the fan, T.33 doesnt
@@123marijn321 ah right, I thought it was the T50 lol 🤦♀️
electric cars a nice.... but nothing beats the pure emotion of a ICE esp a NA v12
eh, you can make pretty similar cool noises with straight cut gears in an all electric vehicle. Have you heard any of the electric race cars they put on pikes peak and the like? they are ANYTHING but silent.
I wonder what power trains a modern unlimited class would bring today? 🤔
If we are talking endurance, probably v6 or v8 turbo hybrids. Sprint probably something simular with more focus on displacement and ev power more for acceleration only like the 2016 lmp cars. Its rly the best we have today
i'd guess a high revving, hot v8 with large turbos, servo driven valves maybe, and electric assist with a high discharge/recharge battery pack. in a true unlimited class they would all run fans to modulate downforce multiple times throughout each corner. You can't beat a car with potentially all its downforce available at any corner, and very little drag on the straights with block off plates that would instantly cut fan air feed...idk though yeah it would be awesome to see what people came up with.
does this sounds better than the T50?
😍😍😍👊👊👊💥💥💥
That’s a two fingers (v) up to the EV nonsense. What a machine 😮
🆒😎👍!
Hows this one Dad...🍻
Looks and sounds better than t50 😮
You know Gordon is watching thinking, that blody windscreen wiper isn’t straight!
It looks insanely quick?!? 🤨
I like how you can see design cues from the F1 in the front but with like a GT40 in the rear. Thats a pinup car for sure.
To me it has a Maserati-lite design language.
I think this actually sounds better than the T50
Surprised the car wasnt black flagged for the left hand door mirror that appears to be on the verge of departing!
Sounds fantastic... but to my eyes wheelbase a little long compared to rear overhang being a little too short...
left side mirror seems loose
Superlative. 👌
Please, Mr Murray, won't you build us a V16...?🙏🙏🙏
Too expensive and cumbersome for the car he envisioned.
Cosworth is building a V16 for Bugatti.
It didn't look very well balanced in the corners somehow, but great start, much work to be done
Yes, I noticed it moving around under brakes earlier in the video too. I’m sure they sort that out…
Yes, thia may be a simple “ matter of suspension setup or possibly some adjustments in weight distribution. It also looks a little high off the ground in my opinion. There's a whole host of things to refine this to be race ready but it at least gives them a baseline. The engine sounds great but this will not win races of course
Gordon Murray doesn’t like a super stiff car he still wants it to cope over pot holes.. and the moving makes it playful
@ThaDutchDK1989 I see. Certainly would make it fun to drive
Looks slow, sounds incredible. Must be a great driver
Looks slow compared to what? Tihs is ohw fast cars look at a circuit
the way this car behaves so "polite" on track makes it looks slow. But man from what I learned so far, smoothness is the key for quick lap times
The well positioned race track cameras capture the cars for our convenience. It’s an illusion, if you were to see it going round that track as a spectator side on you’d see nothing but a blur and a sound of the engine zip by like a fighter jet. unless you were looking at the car head on just off centre, or from the rear at a similar angle as it quickly disappeared into the distance. Thats why you have tiered grandstands to get you one of the best views of the cars as they pass.
@@Nemoticon compared to the McMurty :)
@@onomatopoeidia The McMurty is on another planet, lol
It’s not as visually shouty as other supercars these days, but you can’t say it’s ugly.
Missed opportunity for Gordon not to make a three-seater version of T.33 Spider. I would so love to have that!
Por isso existe a T.50
1:31 what is up with this sound design?
2:55 is also extremely odd
U dont hear nothing at all and suddenly u hear the car when its really close? Thats not normal
and sometimes the sound is like its not even from the footage we see. I cant really point my finger at it, but something is off.
It’s almost as if the video and audio are separate and having been sync’d properly
do they do an electric version ??
Of course not, its supposed to be fun = light, high rev, manual.
Is it not a ground effects car ? How does that work with such a high ride height ?
It's not a ground effects car
This is the T.33. It doesn’t have a fan like the T.50.
this is the way. 12 cylinders, not 3. fawk eu.
Crossover ground clearance
Some might call it useable ground clearance 👍
The front is stubby and short.😱😱
Another example of how British engineering still leads the way!
You just know this is not going to set a single performance related record but could quite possibly be the best drivers car ever made.
I'd buy one of these if it wasn't for that wonky wing mirror...
This is pre production..ofc they won't sell anyone that wonky mirror
@@juhanjames2653 That's reassuring, thank you UA-cam expert. I'll put a deposit down now...
I bet you're fun at parties.
It may look wonky, but that is functional enough.
Styling a bit better than t50 at the front.
Left hand drive for a U.K. based company and prototype? 🤔
Lhd is how all cars should be 👌💪
Glorious piece of engineering, but, I'm not quite feeling the looks for some reason.
Am I the only person to be underwhelmed by the looks/design of this car? Sure, it sounds amazing, but could be easily mistaken for several other "Supercars" - due to it's generic & unoriginal design. Purely my opinion of course - I just wonder what other 'Petrol Heads' may think(?).
looks a bit awkward...sound the business for sure
Nightmare fuel
Gordon needs a designer. His designs are the wrong kind of early 2000's retro. This should make me think of the 60"s whilst being modern. They look like old Ascari's.
Not necessarily though. Overstyling can make the cars look ugly.
Wheres fan gimmick gone
This is a different model. T50 is the one with the fan.
A road car engine that sound's better than any f1 car for the last 10yrs. F1 higher ups take note. Your lossing viewer's because of f1's dull engine's and in the case of sky f1 shrieking commentators.
The sound forever etched in your mind, the body style easily erased within ten seconds of seeing it.
Not a particularly pretty car. It sits too high off rhe ground imo and the wheels maybe a touch too big? Great sound though
Aurally stupendous, visually underwhelming.
Visually pure and beautifully proportioned. Unlike so many other supercars desperately trying to look overly aggressive and cartoonish. This will age so much better than so many others out there.
@@Nemoticon Agree with the first part. Especially Lamborghinis and Ferraris look horrendous nowadays. Still it's not the most beautiful car. For example I think that the Porsche 918 looks absolutely timeless for a modern (hyper)car.
Agreed tbh. Visually there’s literally nothing going with the car, it’s very basic, not a fan tbh
It does sound nice though
Great sound, but besides that I fail to have any interest in this car.
Looks about 3" too high and needs some.sort of front splitter. Very bland looking.
It’s for people with taste that want to drive over speed bumps without ripping the bumper off
I thought it's an Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, but it's not, it's a one of ridiculous Murray cars...
Man, they sound great, stick like glue but these cars are FUGLY. Functional, but hideous, both this and the T50
The T.50 is polarizing for sure, but the T.33 is an excellent take on beautiful retro prototypes. If you don’t like T.33, what cars do you like?
I like this one but the T50 was like a MR2 facelift
The design is very ugly and cheap
The body doesn't match the sound and looks really boring 😮
I think it's elegant. The T.50 is way more aggressive.
Think the flat colour/camouflage doesn't help it. A nice spec one will be Pagani-ish. You'll never see Lambo level triangles + robots + fighter jet styling though, it's not that sort of car.
@@123marijn321there’s so little going on with the design that calling it elegant is a stretch, it’s just very basic looking tbh. Wouldn’t say it’s ugly just painfully boring looking
It really is the paint job that makes it look boring. It would look better in bright colours or with a retro livery like a Gulf livery or a Martini livery.
oh no.. not a generic modern design with atrocious giant wings, exposed carbon everywhere, flaps and canards, monstrous rims and 6 exhaust pipes :D
its just a classy design. And the mule car has no real color. The final car with the right trim will look wonderfull. Atleast for people who like classy designs.
Absolute marvel, too bad it’s a kinda ugly.
It sounds great but the appearance is not desirable to me at all.
Looks extremely bland
Im sorry to say, but it loooks like a generic placeholder of a car. Not racy, not classy, not stylish in any way.
I much prefer the look of this over the one with the propeller on the back. Easier to get in and out of too! 👍😊
Sounds just like a T.50
Same remapped engine
