- Michèle Mouton is without doubt one of the fastest drivers in the history of Rallye Motorsport and a true legend.
She was at her peak in the golden years of Rallye driving: Group B, 1981 - 1986. Also known as „monsters“ with more than 500 hp on a weight less than 1000 kg.
She could keep up and beat some of the greatest rallye drivers ever: Röhrl, Vatanen, Mikkola, Toivonen...
I am incredibly impressed with Michèle Mouton, her character and skills are amazing .
Also her favorite Co-Driver Fabrizia Pons was fantastic and certainly a big part of her success.
This video shows Michèle at the hill climb at pikes peak 1985. Were she has won with an incredible performance, beating some of the big US favorites such as Rod Millen & Bobby Unser.
Michèle sets a new all time record that day as well.
Since then, she’s still the only woman who has ever won at pikes peak 🏆
Thanks Michèle 🙏

What a woman! She was crazy enough for Group B, she was great at it and she was beautiful! I'm so glad she won Pikes Peak because I read that some people there were rude to her when she came. Not only did she win, she destroyed them! ❤
Yes. It was a men’s world and they were pretty rude and arrogant… Michele was unbelievable, naturally gifted talent and determined. So glad she won 🏆
..the story goes that even after winning... some jerk was belittling her achievement or something to that effect and she dared him to race her downhill......They chickened out as expected🤣
Greatest female driver ever
She was Hot!
In the world as well
I am a man, and i want to say not just the greatest female ! Just the greatest ! the passion and will to win, magnifique
I grew up through the group B years and Michelle was so special a sport dominated by men but she was determined skilled and so fast ..she had class and a stare that could stop you in your tracks too
Ah yes ! I spoke to her on the Scottish Rally in 1986 , thereabouts , she was the most talented Group B driver ever . A gift to Audi !
She was an awesome driver.
Absolutely fearless.
Michele Mouton the Queen of motor sport and The goddess of women 👌👌👌👌 Perfect.
What a legend !
What a legend
Legend
The 1980s the best of all times !
The Queen!
Fantastic performance
gran mujer
All woman should be proud of this woman
I am proud of her too, though I am a man!
To me her win, and others, before Pikes was paved are more impressive. Was way more dangerous. Wish it was never paved, because it was a cool course.
1985 When the Unser's learned the Importance of All Wheel Drive and Turbo chargers..
🏆🥇👑. M.M. 👑🥇🏆 est magnifique ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Me hace mucha alegría ver una mujer conducir con esa maestría y con muchos huevos. Es de película. Bravo
Why so few views??!
And then years later it was destroyed by bitumen 😔
Does anyone know what documentary this is taken from? Also cool to see Derek Dauncey narrating portions.
Just read the description. Will check it out at some point.
Queen of speed 2021 (Movie). Please watch the full movie, it’s available on UA-cam. To me, one of the best sports documentaries I’ve ever seen❤. It has won the Emmy award 2022 🙏
Enamórale y déjale ( carallo.) Me va .... No bien entiendo ....yea
Dommage que Michèle ne se soit pas exprimée en français pour leur clouer le bec un peu plus.
Was that Ari, I will never lose to a woman, Vatanen?
Yes. The amazing Ari Vatanen🙏
@@SailorRxx He hasn't aged as well as Michele, lol
and yet, i bet NOT A SINGLE feminist know her name ...
👍🏻🤝
I do. Even in Michelle's case they were trying to see if her car had some changes that were not allowed in races and the media often talked about her looks despite of her sheer talent. There's a still long way to go when it comes to men seeing women as equal. The sad thing is that you have to be twice as good as men to be considered as an equal.
@@hikodew stop manifesting shit. Skill and grit beats gender and Mouton had loads of both. Just like every other world class driver. Talk about not seeing the forest from all the trees here dude/dudette. It's not easy for ANY racing driver to make it regardless of gender.
As far as the scrutiny of competitors race cars they all do it to eachother. It's been going on forever. They are highly competitive people. Moutons case was not exclusive. Just look at how the F1 drivers are nagging eachother for cheating 24/7. Even trying to change the rule books. That happens in every motorsport discipline all the way down to amateur levels. Did you notice that the complaints about her Alpine A110 also happened in an all female series BTW? Or does that not fit your agenda?
Here's the kicker: Male Race drivers with no charisma or "star power" don't get a high profile seat either. Is that a gender thing too?
I do
What a pointless statement
Women drivers ? Probably 😢
