I had one in the 90’s and then again in the early 00’s. Imho this new line plays much better. I’m not really a kiss fan but this guitar has ALWAYS spoken to me. I’m def gonna get the ps60 and upgrade it🤘🤘🤘Great review mate!
I've still have an IC 350 with the white pickguard (that I took off). I bought it in 1996 right around the time KISS was doing their Worldwide Alive/Reunion Tour. After about 6 years, I wanted to upgrade the tone of the guitar to a more aggressive one with more bottom end. At the time, I only had a crappy solid-state Crate amp which was okay when paired with the sansamp GT2 pedal. However I wanted more high-end bite for guitar solos & more and more bottom low end crunch for a more modern metal tone. In order to get that desired guitar tone, I had to replace the stock factory's DiMarzio bridge pickups that were already in it. Instead, I replaced them with a Seymour Duncan Dimebag Darrell (RIP) Dimebucker pickup & the sound and guitar tone were absolutely amazing- even through that crappy solid state Crate amp. I was recently searching for a PS 60 with the Sparkle Silver like the one you have but sadly found out they're no longer in production. However, they say you can find them on the Reverb.com. what scents kiss is done their farewell torn out I decided to upgrade and go for the gusto and recently purchased an Ibanez PS120 Paul Stanley signature model in stealth black. I'm awaiting its delivery by Christmas. Crossing my fingers that the shipping goes safely without any damage. Btw, that George Lynch Screaming Demon pickup sounds awesome too! Hi so i just received my ps60 and when I play it through my amp it doesn’t have that “Electricky Sound” to it. Do u think it’s the amp or something w the guitar?
No. The PS 120 is nearly double the price even with the upgrades to the PS 60. Poplar isn't a bad wood. Slightly brighter than mahogany. Obviously the PS 120 is better guitar but my video is how to upgrade the PS 60 if you don't have the budget for a PS 120.
@@mikcrone I think I misunderstood what you had said. I thought you said you paid almost 300 for the guitar & 400 (& something) for upgrades for a total of 800 & change. Did you mean the total price for the guitar with upgrades was 400 & change?

Yes it does but at the same time the budget PS60 is awesome. Would still like the tobacco ic520 or the cheaper ic200

They are remaking these again, I called a Musicians Friend rep and he said they have them on preorder for August, another site said October

I got the PS120, about £950. Its a nice guitar. I've put Gotoh locking tuners on as they seem to be the weakest link

I've not done it with this, but I have done it with a BCRich Mockingbird. I've made a video about it. You could use a Duesenberg trem

Cool upgrade man! Is there a way to remove the tailpiece that comes off or the bridge?
Yea it's just screwed in with 3 screws. People are taking that off and the scratch plate for the System of a Down Toxicity look. 😁

Not sure. Try a different amp. If it still doesn't sound good check the wiring or send it back and get another.

With the correct mounts yes. The Duesenberg Les trem may be a better option though. Fits straight on.
