How do you remove the clips that joins all the springs to the long wire that has the paper around it, that goes from the right hand side to the left hand side?
Hey there, I got replacements in the kit I bought but I also removed the old ones using a flat screwdriver and a long nose pliers. Look at about 1:35 secs in I show you how it should look before clamping it back down. Hope that helps and thanks for watching
@@ashtradam Thanks, I got there! It's quite fiddley and you need to take your time, I used a bradawl, plyers and screwdrivers, and then just a pair of grips and plyers to put back on
I ask a furniture guy about replacing the springs in my couch and he said it would be better to build a platform under it instead. What are your thoughts on that versus Springs.
Hi, how many springs do you have to replace? I think it cost about $20 dollars for 2 pack spring repair kit. I would say do the repair if you are handy with tools etc. Putting a platform I'm thinking he meant screwing in a sheet of plywood you would lose the "bounce" sitting on it. Just take your time and be safe about it

This really doesn't show how to replace the springs just that they're available, and that it's possible.
It's a 3 minute video showing exactly like you stated. It didn't say tutorial in the heading. Why not just say thanks.
