Hope you enjoy(ed) watching this as much as I did making it. I'm actually a bit sick at the moment so I dunno exactly when the next series will start but it will be soon-ish. Couple of weeks or so. And then we'll jump into Flying Buttress' Adaptation of Tides of Darkness by Aaron Rosenberg... or something.
I absolutely love this Supercuts! My favorite animated movies ever. They relax and entertain me so much. Thx for another cool Supercut! Can´t wait for the next one. I wish you an awesome rest of the week Tim.
these are so fuckin cool. got here from the supercut on hiru's channel. ill probably leave the individual episodes on autoplay while sleeping to help with the views on those videos too. this blend of direct quotes and personal imput is so cool and different from any other lore channel i wish more people would be willing to invest time in going through your videos on the full duration instead of opting for a 20 min recap. it feels akin to binging a newly found show 👏👏👏👏
I watch these while sleeping, while cleaning, I even put the Supercuts on while I’m in the bathtub. This was the way I introduced my husband to WoW. I bloody love the flying buttress.
Turns out Alonda was indeed correct in a sense, as we currently know of six Troll races. Forest trolls, Jungle trolls, Ice trolls, Sand trolls, Dark trolls and Zandalari trolls.
thank you. i wouldn't have found the book without this video. THIS is the Warcraft movie I should have gotten! I loved Warcraft (2016) this just ..... thank you!
I've played since late, late wrath and I have to say you've done a wonderful job of capturing Medihv's personality really well. I always had a more 'awed' view of him and it's good to get a more realistic look of what he was actually like. Same for other characters in your stories though I've already heard some lore about most I'm saying it anyhow as people who have no clue, like my bestie will get a really good idea of what these big names are all about.
Cheers mate. Much appreciated. I'd say the authors probably deserve most of the credit though. Lol. I just try my best to "act" their characterisation.
I have to say, this was a really entertaining listen/watch -- the algorithm struck gold for me here. I enjoy the mix of audiobook reading and candid re-telling with some audio and visual humor thrown in, gives the whole thing a unique air and style to it while still feeling grounded and authentic to the source material (disclaimer: I'm an old WoW vet and loved WC3 dearly but never read any of the novels, so this is my first exposure to them). Medivh's air of mystery is palpable; you always wonder what he'll do or say next, what wisdom or controversy he will share and elaborate on. He steals the show whenever he's present, and your portrayal of him (and Khadgar, who he shares a fascinating chemistry with) contributes to that.
I think in all the years of Warcraft novels this one has never been surpassed. It';s got an amazing brooding atmosphere, and a sense of "Fog of War" around all the areas the heroes pass through. My love for this book is a big reason I couldn't get behind the movie version.
Just finished rise of the horde! Onto the next one. I watch these videos at home to make sure I understood and heard everything correctly and at work listen to the audio books. Great videos! I just started this book and dying to know more.
This performance makes me appreciate Jeff Grubb's clever dialogue. It's a cut above what it probably needs to be writing fiction for a video game world.
been binging your content since i saw the supercut on hiru's channel and i gotta say that irish moroes is an inspired choice your pacing and humour are fantastic! i'll be sad when i eventually run out of content but that's what rewatches are for i suppose :p
That was one of the best WOW videos covering books that o have ever watched. I'm so happy to got your channel as recommended and I have gladly subscribed. You are so good in making this and I will watch all of your story covers ! Respect ❤❤❤❤
So greatly made! Now I always hearing those chars with your voice and language … When someone gives me a quest now which includes danger … I always want to say: „U say what, M8?“ 😂👌🏽 Awesome work, Buttfather! Keep up the great work! We so appreciate it! Now I bugger off 😅
Bit late to the party, and this should not surprise me, but mad props for actually putting in the effort of properly encoding the letter (edit: disregarding the spaces thing) at 1:30:40, bloopity included. I wish I could super like the video for that alone.
Daamn, I’ve got shivers at the end, I’ve always were curious about the lore behind Khadgar’s aging by Medivh - and I cannot imagine a better representation of a book than yours, in terms of jokes, visuals, references etc. I will recommend your videos to any new wow fans that I’ll meet. Thank you for your brilliant content, Buttress, you’re the king!
Hey man. Im really glad you make theese. Im new to wow so idk a lot of the lore, and they are also super relaxing to fall asleep to after a long days work. Thank you.
You do a great job telling the story, creating a visual scene to go with it, its truly amazing the job you do. Please keep up with these, they are awesome!
Note to others watching this: SHARE it to some friends if you enjoyed. Maybe a single episode or something. This guy deserves so many more subscribers than he has
Thank you, even though ive red this book more than dozen times, your voice and story telling was wonderful companion during my painting evening. Im grateful for every dopamine hit, and you granted me a huge chunk of it so thank you. What you do is awesome and i hope you continue. Cant wait for Beyond the dark portal. Cheers :)
I think we should get you to do the next Warcraft movie I feel like you would do a great job moving the books into the big screen where people can easily laugh and get along with the characters.
I do love these videos. Watched each of your Supercuts a few times and definitely has me wanting to learn how to do key frames easier for my own videos
Lol. I appreciate the compliment but I feel obliged to say "maybe buy the books too". Because there's nuance and stuff. But I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
55:59 VERY lore attentive of you to leave out the blues since at the time this was written they were near extinct and only after the time fucker of Krasus saving some eggs in WotA did they come back.
1:40:28 I never got the idea that Nielas ever managed to be truly angry or would call her a bitch. When I read the scene he seemed legitimately heartbroken. (And his lines in Kara 70 made him seem like a good man too.)
A merry Buttmas to you! Great to see another SUPERBUTT video, I adore them. Excellent work as always! You're bloody brilliant!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
wow was for sure better when the stories were smaller scale. Basically when Sargeras was mysterious space satan, possessing wizards, sending cloven hoof demons to take down kingdoms, we didn't really get it with the old gods, ahhhh the good old days
51:57 I'm actually wondering what the Four known troll types were at the time. The eastern kingdoms only had 3 (Ice, Forest, Jungle) when this book was written around the development and release of WC3 RoC, with the fourth being the Dark Trolls. I'm not sure Blizzard had laid out the Zandalari or Desert trolls or the Dire Trolls, or which of those they were implying the Kirin Tor knew of as the 4th, and who would be the fifth?
I thought it may have been a reference to the evolution of trolls that became the Kal'dorei, the fifth species being undiscovered as this occurs before the events of the exodus to Kalimdor. At least thats my personal theory, take it with a grain of salt lol
Technicaly, there are more then 5 species of Troll, since Zandalar trolls are special trolls, but also Dark trolls of which there is just 1 more left, that we know of, maybe there are more hidden somewhere, but also since Nightelves evolved from trolls and Blood/High elves evolved from NIght elves, there are at least 7 types of trolls, we shall refrain from including the Dark Trolls among them since they race currently numbers in 1 female that we do not know to be fertile or not, sure the resulting trolls would be half-breeds, but eventually they could breed back int oexistence the Dark trolls if that were so( yes applying genetics to WOW).
The book was originally published in 2001 which is before WoW even launched. But I like to think the reason so many Humans think Alonda is full of shit is because this is pre-First War and Human knowledge wasn't that brilliant at the time. Hell - they called the Eastern Kingdoms 'Azeroth' back then so I don't think they even knew Kalimdor existed yet.
@@FlyingButtress agreed :) But also Mediv knew, so I like to think he was unwilling to share all his knowledge. he had to have known, he could Blink abroos the world in 0.1 sec, just like I like to think "Young Trust", now Old Trust, is in essence a new form of Guardian, not so much a all powerful mage, but more a Guide, I think it helps in a good story if your Hero is not OP and if he or she has flaws, to that extent Catgar is the perfect Warcraft hero, if only the ingame story could use him so well as miss CB can in her books, I would be more then OK with the writers retconing SL, just say it was a void lord induced dream.
Huh I just realized Chronicle having Medivh singlhandedly whup Hakkar and an entire Gurrubashi invasion as filler content was a needless contradiction of this book.
Hope you enjoy(ed) watching this as much as I did making it. I'm actually a bit sick at the moment so I dunno exactly when the next series will start but it will be soon-ish. Couple of weeks or so. Can’t wait to watch it again in full! Another masterpiece! Feel better soon.
Dude even though ive read all the books, the little hint of joy you add from reading it gives it a happpy twist.
Best regards,
A new sub

Don't ever cheese it. We want more!
My third time watching. Thanks. I really enjoy your work.
My second super cut and once again fantastic job well done
59:40 "Was there some sort of magical aid?" Stone Mason's Guild: *Angry tradesman noises*

I'm ashamed I'm just now finding these. Big shouts to Hiru for bringing us here. This dude does incredible work.
Same
This is best lore video ever made. Subbing to you!
The drunk talk around the hourglass make me laugh every time.
"Levitate my bloody mug!"
*Everything all at once goes off*
🤣
I watch your supercuts to bed. Now all characters in wow are slowly starting to have their original voices replaced by yours in my mind.
The only thing that bothers me about his voices are that sometimes prestor sounds like peons
I watch these while sleeping, while cleaning, I even put the Supercuts on while I’m in the bathtub. This was the way I introduced my husband to WoW. I bloody love the flying buttress.
I must say... Garona with this voice sounds really well =]
The charme you bring to these books makes the listening (and watching) enjoyable as hell. Thanks for making this as engaging as possible!
My favorite supercut, probably watched this one to bed over 20 times
Turns out Alonda was indeed correct in a sense, as we currently know of six Troll races. Forest trolls, Jungle trolls, Ice trolls, Sand trolls, Dark trolls and Zandalari trolls.
This is the best one so far, i have seen it 3 times now. The dialogues are really very well done!
thank you. i wouldn't have found the book without this video. THIS is the Warcraft movie I should have gotten! I loved Warcraft (2016) this just ..... thank you!
Never got to watch the parts properly until the release of the supercut, thanks Buttfather.

@@FlyingButtress They do but sometimes reading is just too hard for some people so it's really great to have this kind of content around.
Late late wrath? Whoa we got a badass here ✋ 👀 ✋
@@kenhammscousin4716 Haha 😝🫣 I started playing right before ICC came out. It was like stories of the gods waging war high in the heavens above me.

Such a fun listen and the graphics are well timed too
Hey UA-cam Algorithm, I love this! Recommend it to more people! Thanks! ;)
Can’t believe I just found this. It’s a master piece.
Just finished Dawn of the Aspects. So good. Many laughs. Lots of lore learning. This one's next. Favorite new "podcast". Thanks so much man.
Yas! the supercut! here we goooooooooooooooooooo!
Man that last fight always gives me the chills
I think in all the years of Warcraft novels this one has never been surpassed. It';s got an amazing brooding atmosphere, and a sense of "Fog of War" around all the areas the heroes pass through. My love for this book is a big reason I couldn't get behind the movie version.

Not gonna lie that Karazhan theme choir like sound that comes everyonce awhile bops
Always loved the lore. Even better I can listen to these while I work making the day go by much easier
Great book, the old warcraft lore was something else, there were no real winners in this story and yet I can't help, but love this story
Yeah warcraft is what I would prefer to a grimlight. Things arnt hopeless but it's still shitty.
been binging your content since i saw the supercut on hiru's channel and i gotta say that irish moroes is an inspired choice
your pacing and humour are fantastic! i'll be sad when i eventually run out of content but that's what rewatches are for i suppose :p

It is funny when you have first experienced the book, then the Warcraft 3 custom campaign, then the Flying Buttress supercut.
Man I need to get an unpatched WC3 again so I can run that custom campaign,
Just came here to say "MUYH" and then I buggered off
One of my favorite books. Thank you for adapting it.
So greatly made!
Now I always hearing those chars with your voice and language …
When someone gives me a quest now which includes danger … I always want to say: „U say what, M8?“ 😂👌🏽
Awesome work, Buttfather! Keep up the great work! We so appreciate it!
Now I bugger off 😅
Just discovered your channel and I'm completely hooked! Great animation, great voice over, absolutely loving it.

Very talented story teller. I'm somewhat sad that this episode is over. But thanks to you, I understand a little bit more of the lore.
Im super late to this but i just discovered this video and its awesome. You killed it. Time to watch your other ones
I think we should get you to do the next Warcraft movie I feel like you would do a great job moving the books into the big screen where people can easily laugh and get along with the characters.
I dunno - I'd do it if someone like Nobbel consulted. He could keep me in check if I try to make things too silly.
I do love these videos. Watched each of your Supercuts a few times and definitely has me wanting to learn how to do key frames easier for my own videos
This is amazing sir! Uploaded on my birthday, what a pitty that im only discovering it now, what a gift would that have been :D
I enjoy this kind of content very much. Makes me wanna actually pick up a warcraft book or two.
This is so much better than it has any right to be, and deserves SO much more views!
This is so amazing that i pretty much dont wanna buy the books and just w8 for you to read them all

This was an epic and enthralling video! Thank you very much for all your effort!
I’ve been binging all your Supercuts at work, I love your videos!!!
I recently found your channel, and have seen so many videos. I know most of the lore, but it's entertaining hearing it from you :D
these are very good, i love listening to these while gaming or working
i love that garona just has a standard orc voice, i know theres only so many voices you can do alone but its still funny haha
These are awesome man, more people should be watching these!
I loved this video! Thank you so much for making it and please make more
