I’m a very avid user of the rover. But recently the ballistic guard dog is much better unless against bugs. It aimbots to weak points against enemies, it can’t always penetrate due to medium pen, but it’s incredibly effective against illuminate or bots. Taken down harvesters, hulks, devastators, overseers, list goes on. Unless you’re solely relying on your backpack for the voteless, the guard dog is MUCH more effective than the rover. Try the Gatling sentry for the voteless, incredibly effective to clear entire hordes, and also drop shields from harvesters to make them easy work.
@ryanlink8699 Im a very experienced Rover User. I use Sickle and Rover for the illuminates. The Rover never has to reload and over time kills more Voteless than the guard dog. If you solely go for the most kills like me, the Rover is better. If you want survivability, the guard dog is better
I’ve used both extensively and the liberator kills me way more often. It can literally take your head off in 1 shot whereas the laser sets you on fire giving you time to dive and put it out. The laser might hit you more often but it’s very rare that it kills you. The liberator hits you less often but almost always kills you when it does
@generaloverlord2988 idk how to tell you this otherwise, but I don’t ever exit a mission with under 550 kills and that’s being conservative just trying to get through. Usually I average over 700 per illuminate mission… I can have 0 or 3 teammates, doesn’t matter. 550 is the minimum every single time, and no rover. :) reg guard dog. When I switched over, I noticed 0 of a drop in kills.
This has become my anti-Illuminate build. Laser cannon is primarily for taking down shields, but can be handy if you get caught by a Harvester without an Emplacement handy. -Tesla Armor -Blitzer/Grenade Pistol/Incendiary Impact nades -Laser Cannon or any machine gun -Guard Dog (Liberator) -Anti-Tank Emplacement/MG Sentry -HMG Emplacement
for the illuminates i usually run with adjudicator for staff/fliers, nade launcher secondary for ship destruction, HMG for tripods, rover, 500kg, and the heavy turret. works pretty well
Arc thrower, guard dog lib, jar-5 dominator, grenade pistol, gas grenade, orbital precision strike, gas strike, medium peak physique armor. Jar-5 takes out shields and kill overseers pretty quick. OPS and gas strike one shot the ship spawners. OPS can help with harvestor after stun locking with arc thrower. arc thrower can kill everything. gas nades and strike for area denial/voteless clearing.
Ahhhh the medic armor. The laser is my main. I use the engineering kit and use 4 or 5 impacts on the harvesters. With a ammo pack. I use mainly sentries. Gatlin or machine and autocannon. As a Super Citizen it's my duty to face off with harvesters eye to eye.
Fun fact i just learned yesterday after 300+ hours. Gas grenades and incendiary grenades can close Bug holes and illuminate spawner ships. You just aim for the top of the ramp where it meets the glowing door. Incendiary impact is more consistent than the one with the fuse
For Illuminates I take all the bullets... Crossbow/machine gun combo clears everything, redeemer secondary. Gatling and machine gun sentries super effective and low cool down. Rover backpack. Impact grenades. One man army
I prefer the Arc Blitzer than the Purifier or the Sickle. The Arc Blitzer has unlimited ammo, stuns multiple enemies, kills multiple enemies and pushes many of those enemies back. That weapon is the best primary against the Illuminate 👊🏿
Build: Weapons - Purifier, grenade pistol, impact incendieries. Strats - napalm barrage, gattling sentry, supply backpack, and anti-matieral rifle. Use any armor really - Killzone armor is good. - Impacts and gattlings for clearing hordes and doing seaf sites, anti material rifle for knocking the legs off tripods, and napalm barrage for when your overwhelmed or when ships are called. Also, grenade pistol to destroy outposts. By far the best loadout I have used. With the supply backpack you'll basically never run out of stims and ammo, and it's better than waiting for a ressuply when your overwhelmed.
Torcher, arc thrower, tesla tower, and guard dog make the illuminate an absolute joke. Then I usually take a 380mm barrage to deal with bases or Illuminate drops (it's honestly just overkill at that point)
Arc Blitzer, grenade pistol for warp ships, WASP launcher for my support weapon, orbital gas strike, incendiary impact grenades and strafing run is my go to Illuminate load out rn. I’ll sometimes interchange the gas strike with a sentry if needed.
Personally I like using the first build cause it's surprisingly similar to my own. Mine is a Sickle, grenade pistol, incendiary grenades, AMR, Guard Dog, and both gun sentries. I like the fire grenade cause it kills chaff, rather than confusing them... though confusing them could be a good support item for the turrets... I'll try that out. Still, fire is pretty good! Grenade pistol for ships but also for chaff clear, cause ammo boxes are more common than grenade boxes. Next is the Sickle, for taking down shield, decent accuracy, infinite ammo, and just deleting hordes with easy strafing headshots. AMR for deleting Overseers and taking down Harvesters at a really good range. Guard dog to watch my six and honestly to help with horde and overseer control. More importantly, it rarely SHOOTS ME!!! Bad Rover! Honestly just faster at taking down enemies. Finally, the double gun turrets just for deleting an offensive push of making a safe space while I focus on Harvesters. Upsides? It's funny how ammo feels less restrictive when multiple systems use ammo to solve different problems. AMR, Grenade Pistol, and Guard Dog all use ammo, but deal with different problems. And all are affected by a single ammo box. So it really feels like it's worth it. And the Guard Dog, by the time it actually goes through all your ammo, you can usually call down a new one. I'd say the main weakness here could be Harvesters deleting turrets at a very bad time, cause they are awful like that. AMR is great, both for taking on harvesters and taking down Overseers from range, but is obviously bad at close range. Sickle is... not great at taking Overseers down, but it can in a pinch. Turrets help a lot, especially with the smaller turret having such a low cooldown. Basically can call at least one down per engagement. I like to think that it works cause I bring more guns with me to fire independently, which hilariously saves me ammo. Basically delegating.
I'm running plasma punisher/grenade pistol/gas grenades with try stratagems being orbital laser/laser cannon/directional shield/emancipator and armor being light arc resistance. When I jump into the exosuit I switch to a 1 hand and stim so the shield works when I fire.
Best build I promise for squid’s -medium medic armor -blitzer -grenade pistol -grenades of your choice -guard dog rover -laser cannon -strafe run -gatling barrage
Adjudicator/c bow, any secondary for funsies, heavy mg for tripods, heavy nade or impact for ships, Gatling, MG sentry, and AR rover. Is decent but cant kill drop ships but you can wipe em fast when they tele down and low CD
I like the blitzer alot more then the arc thrower. Quicker but shorter and still great with no ammo use. My go to support is now the wasp as it makes any flying enemy and medium enemy completely trivial on high difficulties and i always use my grenade pistol for easy ship kills. Stun nade together with + grenade armor keeps anything that comes too close locked down.
I wanna like the orb laser but the limited uses makes me wanna save it for the perfect opportunities. The issue is those moments almost never come and I only end up using it like once per mission
top 3 should at least contain a sentry build. for me best is atm: sickle, grenade pistol, wasp, heavy gun sentry in which u sit, machine gun and gatling turret … if you place heavy gun tactical it is a cake walk
Honestly i‘m always going full american „brrrr“ so i take either shield generator backpack, supply backpack or the Liberator Rover with the trustworthy machine gun, an Emancipator Exosuit and the Gatling Sentry since i sometimes like it being able to shoot far and hold positions. For primary the crossbow since it headshot-kills overseers (also acts like a better grenade against ships) and the Redeemer for some quick help or shield killing. Then for some war crimes i take the gas grenades and you can just stack them and they are going to give you up to 80x kills since voteless are so stupid that they walk in it. Somebody can still give me feedback, i like seeing if my loadouts could improve, but right now i also had some solo illuminate Diff 10 missions and got stats like 854 to 1 death
Try this and tell me what you think Crossbow Senator Impact grenades That 95% arc damage resistance armor Machine Gun (For tripods and taking down ship shields) Machine Gun sentry Gatling sentry Guard dog rover (laser)

I prefer the rover with the liberator. It's way safer and better overall. It headshots the zombies and can deal with the overseers.
💯 laser kills slow and causes you to take injuries and thus use stems where you otherwise wouldn't.

Stop using the rover, regular guard dog is better
Prefer the rover for the horde.
Bullet dog is goated
Bullet dog sometimes shoot right above the enemy, or it will be more badass.
Try Ajudicator or DCS paired with Arc Thrower. Then you have a weapon that can deal with Harvesters if you are accurate enough.

i find the bullet guard dog better for illuminate they seem to target heads quite often it just goes one tapping voteless left and right.
May I ask a questions, why the Sickle over the Scythe? Are they equivalent to each other, or is there a clear strength that I am over looking?
At this point, he's gotta be trolling us with the medic armor 😂😂

Arc blitzer, grenade pistol, laser bag, quaser cannon, laser stratagem, gatling sentry with this build I get 600- 700 kills in superhelldive

On the last of the recommended builds you had nothing to take out the warp ships with. Except the orbital laser. I take it this was not for solo play?
The WASP will also target sentries
Medic armor is life
You forgot the build where you get one shot by Tesla towers
the best of the best
🤣
For me it’s:
Sickle, rover, stalwart, rocket sentry, gas nades & commando.
Haven’t found a more effective loadout personally. Arc is too slow imo
These are some fire builds
