One small detail that might need to be kept in mind while dealing with voteless is the fact that seemingly any and every gun that doesn't fire Plasma, lasers, or an explosive - is fully capable of overpenetrating them. From the starting pistol and the smaller caliber redeemer, to the Lib-concussive rounds. I've even got a 5 in 1 with an AMR shot, see if you can beat that score
I quickly found out what works for me is liberator penetrator, the laser pistol for the infinite ammo, the G-43, Gatling turret, and the walking artillery barrage, and impact grenades. I tend to get stuck solo cause of the connection problems at the start, so that worked best for me.
The overseers are made for assault rifles because of their ablative armor which can tank a rail gun shot to the head. The best thing is fire rate or explosive or fire damage that go right through the armor.
5:53 I use the Liberator Carbine in conjunction with the HMG or MMG, where I need something to fend off against the Voteless - quickly - when they get close enough for my support weapon's poor handling to be a liability.
It's honestly been decent on the bug front since it's slight buff. But I understand some people don't like light pen. It's very effective vs hunter swarms.
having lots of fun with the Spray&Prey. Worth noting that it absolutely destroys shields, super good for pairing with a weapon that can handle the harvesters like recoiless, Disposable Anti Tank, and Commando. Not to mention the combos while destroying ships.
My favourite loadout atm is the Blitzer with the senator. The blitzer is infinit ammo and deals with every that gets close to you, and the senator is for the flying units. The only thing this misses is something to deal with the harvestor, but there are so many options for that. My favourite is the laser canon.
The buffs currently needed for our roster of weapons: 1. The concussive rifle is the worst machine gun. It needs a fire rate buff as it takes way too long to kill anything in the game. 2. The slugger shotgun is so disappointing. It needs a much higher damage payout + heavy armor penetration. Its damage payout currently doesn’t make sense when you’re not getting the benefit of pellet spread. 3. The bolt action rifle needs to stop being a joke weapon and buff it with a strip mag and higher damage. 4. The heavy submachine gun being two handed makes the gun pointless. Swap it to one handed and it’s a viable weapon. 5. The carbine machine gun feels pointless with the existence of the Knight and the new free Helghast submachine gun. I think if you gave it the largest drum mag it would justify it being in the rifle category. 6. The diligence rifle. It’s light penetration with its only benefit being slightly higher mobility and mag size. Idk anyone who chooses this when the counter sniper exists. Give it a burst fire option with less recoil and it’s unique enough for ppl to actually wanna use it.
100%. I took it out vs the squids this week and it just felt awful. It needs a lot more damage and better stagger. It should shine in mid to short range.
Eruptor + dagger is a nasty combination for people who want to save ammo but also have crazy firepower on hand. One shot from the eruptor will weaken a hoard enough for it to be finished off by the dagger pretty fast. Harvesters are a joke too, eruptor can pop their shield in 1-2 shots to open up for a stunlock, quasar shot, or teammate support Dagger deals with voteless and snitch bots pretty nicely on its own because of fire damage, and can be used to hit faster targets much easier than the eruptor. It has no damage range dropoff either so you can snipe the tankier dudes and hoards from a distance without spending a single round
I would personally put the blitzer lower at like A or even high B. It's amazing against the voteless but kind of mediocre for the overseers -- they dont' seem to stagger them much nor deal that much damage and its really bad for the elevated overseers since it doesn't have much range and doesn't kill them quickly. The infinite ammo is less needed due to the tons of ammo laying around cities. And of course its awful against the harvesters. If you're taking meta stratagems then the voteless are the least of your worries so its kind of using an entire primary weapon just to kill the least threatening enemy. I would much rather take a long-range medium penetrating weapon so you can kill harvesters quick with an eagle strafe into a few shots onto the leg AND kill overseers quickly.
I haven't tried the Halt on the squids yet but I gotta go try it now. Also, you really need to play in first person mode with weapons like the Adjudicator and Reprimand. I used both against the squids cuz of the medium pen and i enjoy them a lot. You really dont notice the recoil when in first person. They reload really fast with the new armor and pair nicely with a guard dog as well.
On one hand, I do understand that we're looking at the weapons ON THEIR OWN here. But if we consider all the facts, I like to bring TENDERIZER for squids because CURRENTLY their enemy lineups really ain't too restrictive, you easily compensate for stuff and can bring a lot of other equipments to deal with big hordes of Voteless (Guard dogs, Crisper, Fire Grenades, etc...), not to mention support weapons of course, and sentries. I love the Tenderizer because it has that 800RPM mode which can quickly shred Overseers when you need to, can save you the bother quite a lot of times, it takes exactly 13 shots to kill an Overseer shooting their body (armor and flesh), you can also just hose down their thigh too and honestly it's probably easier to kill them that way (because no arm/gun obstruction), especially the Elevated Overseers with their gun blocking their body most of the times, also takes basically the same amount.
I'd argue that the Constitution is at least C tier, since each shot can stagger Overseers, and the bayonet, if combined with the peak physique passive, will kill Overseers in 3-4 hits, and 1-2 hits for Voteless.
The senator revolver is the best side weapon in my opinion for the illuminates, it one shots overseers if you headshot them, 2 shots watchers, and if your in a dire situation you can kill harvesters with a few reloads if you shoot them in they’re weak spots (the leg joints connecting the legs to they’re body)
I like the adjudicator vs squids. You pair it with the Stalwart on max RPM and engineering armor for reduced recoil. Stalwart is mainly for shields and voteless.
I’ve actually had some good missions against the illuminate with the plain ol’ breaker paired with the arc thrower. Arc thrower clears everything at the moment but can struggle up close, so the breaker is a good match for it as it has a bit wider of a spread than the punisher variants and has a faster fire rate. Everything that comes too close gets shredded by it. And if you want to make sure you never get touched in a mission, add in the guard dog lol
I knew the assault rifle would get their day when the Illuminate showed up. Been having to defend them for months as people looked down on them, mainly because the other factions have more medium and higher armor targets.
I'm loving the basic liberator! It 1 shots the voteless if you shout them in the head (which is rule nr. 1). Great at range and with the new armor set the ammo economy is on par with the Sickle. Easy A tier if not a down out right S tier!
the constitution is no joke, the BEST weapon for illuminates rn alongside throwing knives, peak physique and animation cancelling. Shit is the biggest cakewalk ever, video on my channel
When the Mage arrive you might find out that explosive weapon can be very dangerous against other players. The Illuminate strength never in their number or firepower. It's their strange abilities. Shield. Pasma and lightning. Scramble your strategem. And mind control.
This is one of the best tier list and at 800hrs here playing only diff10, I mostly agree. For the squids I m STILL working out which primary is best, particular cause if you bring different support weapon, the "synergy" is also a big factor. I bring the arc thrower, which stuns everyone and takes chaff out easy, leaving just the harvesters as targets needing specialization, and for that, jar-5 fills the remaining gap well, does take a bit of getting use to the handling, but once use to, can really solo missions with general ease. Dom jar-5 can take out warpship shields Incase strafing is on cooldown (something the plasma weapons cannot effective) , and as such offers a better "general solution" to all the dilemmas on the battlefield. I love the punisher plasma, but found myself often needing to fire at close range, which sometimes not as ideal. Scorcher is strongest weapon on overseers, good on hoard with the splash, but does terrible on warpgate shields, so need to reserve straf or need to dump 2.5 mags to remove their shield. Purifier need close to 3 mags for emptying shields on warpships. For now, sticking with the Dom for being good up close and personal. For everything else, the arc thrower is the unlimited answer
Hey I got the game on release but. Came back after about 6 months of activity because of the illuminate and what not. What primaries would you recommend for general use? I'm loving the laser gun you get from the first war bond since I don't have to worry about ammo. For my secondary I used the redeemer.
@@GildedSentinel It really depend on your loadout. Cause each front there are 'tasks' you need to handle, and I generally prefer a 'generalist' approach, meaning I want 'ALL TASKS' to be doable by myself if necessary. So Primary and Support weapon need to talk Synergy. Here are my loadout for your reference: Bug Side: (light armor) Crossbow / Loyalist / Stunade 500kg, Laser Rover, Quaser Cannon, Last slot flex. Bot Side: (heavy armor) Plasma Punisher / Verdict / Thermite 500kg, Railgun, Supply pack, last slot flex. - Heavy Armor means I stim a lot to run faster Squid Side: (light/mid armor) Dom Jar-5, Grenadistol, impacnade. 500kg, Straling, Arc thrower, last slot flex. The flex slot I usually reserve for mission specific assist, and sometimes try to stay fresh too, but going things like Eagle Airstrike or Orbital laser like never is the wrong answer either.
As much as I hate the "skill issue" argument, he Liberator carbine and the StA-11 really do rely on having better reflexes and gun handling skills. In a lot of provided clips you're not crouching or doing anything to offset the high recoil that comes as a trade off for the blisteringly high DPS and reload speeds these weapons get (In tandem with siege ready make close range brawling amazing). It’s also kind of important that you’re using support weapons that compliment your primary. They're not for everyone, but from personal experience they're extremely reliable and lethal once you learn how to brawl with them.
Ill never understand Arrowheads balance when it comes to primarys. They all seem to just fall behind the mark on being useful. For example: the new primary sniper has 3 bursts, and it takes 2 bursts to kill an overseer. Anytime they buff magazine size, they just HAVE to take away magazines for whatever reason, leaving us with less overall ammo.
18:00 so I know its entirely preference on the gun but, Im pretty sure the issue with the slugger is just how its being used, it doesn’t seem like you really factor in the fact its using slugs, you swing it around and fire it just as fast as a normal punisher causing you to miss more shots
And to add, from multiple ways you phrased it, it almost seems like you don’t know the difference between slugs and buckshot, a slug has less spread because it has no spread, its a mid range option, not a horde option
The Blitzer is best. Only downside, warp ship shields can't be brought down with it. i regularly take own multiple overseers with voteless mob and harverster by myself with the blitzer. The Quasar being my secondary for a quick shot for the tripods. There are so many ennemies with the illuminate, you quickly run out of ammo with anything else.
Hear me out the constitution is actually pretty good. Me and my friends have 2 manned super-helldive with constitution only and succeed. The main thing is melee spamming the voteless due to the melee one-shoting them on a head shot. I'd give it C teir it's quite usable but not the best.
I would be fine with the liberator concussive if it was good at stripping enemy armor and mechanical parts. Making it a really good support primary to pair with the senator or other support weapon to finish the job easier.
I'd swap scythe with sniper. Sniper loses ammo too fast, and scythe is good vs anything + has insane accuracy for dealing with probes. Plasma shotgun isn't great because you can't deal with flying enemies too good. And sniper eats a whole mag for one overseet which is insane
I would love the blitzer... but it kinda ruins my loadouts for the squids. I need some sort of full auto weapon to deal with shields and it just doesn't do that. I'd always rather take a sickle or any other full auto primary. my weapon loadouts usually consist of full auto primary for shields and mobs, grenade pistol for the ships, and an amr for harvesters and overseers. covers all my bases very efficiently, the AMR is the most underrated support weapon for the squids. it can take down a harvester in 2 shots from the joints and 1-2 shot overseers.
Yo thanks for more tier lists. I feel like lists regarding unique situations, like effectiveness against gunships for example, would be great content. 💩
Great video, enjoyed that you went over every enemy type with every weapon, as a friendly suggestion, you start nearly every weapon with "but" and once my brain picked up on the pattern it was very noticeable. In the future varying your transitional phrases would probably make the videos feel smoother. Just my opinion, no hate intended
I don't understand people rating the arc-12 high, I really want to like it but it just feels like an inconsistent tickle cannon. It just seems pointless when other related guns just simply do so much more so much faster.
eh the STA-11 is my go-to for squids. High fire rate, easy to handle, VERY easy to kneecap the zombies with it and overall very reliable. Obviously if you hold M1 your aim will go all over the place so just manage your trigger discipline and itll be fine. My usual for the squids now is the STA-11 SMG, the stun lance, gas grenades and all of that paired with the orbital railcannon, walking barrage, recoilless and the AT emplacement.

Was genuinely waiting on you to post on the update, your videos give a calm and reasonable perspective on weaponry usage, keep it up! 👍🏾
I like how different things are more effective vs the squids, as opposed to bugs and bots. 👍
The best Helldivers creator back again with another banger tier list
Dr. “The Horde” Pooplove
Just the video I needed
PSA, Harvester weak spot isn't the eye, it's the armpit.
That piece of connecting muscle attaching the leg to the center
Just got back from work and am very happy lmao
My favourite loadout atm is the Blitzer with the senator.
The blitzer is infinit ammo and deals with every that gets close to you, and the senator is for the flying units.
The only thing this misses is something to deal with the harvestor, but there are so many options for that. My favourite is the laser canon.
The buffs currently needed for our roster of weapons:
Returning Helldiver here! Thank you!
I wish they would unfuck the slugger. It was goated on launch, and I miss it a ton
100%. I took it out vs the squids this week and it just felt awful. It needs a lot more damage and better stagger. It should shine in mid to short range.
Give it AP4 at close range and better handling and it would be golden again
Eruptor + dagger is a nasty combination for people who want to save ammo but also have crazy firepower on hand. One shot from the eruptor will weaken a hoard enough for it to be finished off by the dagger pretty fast. Harvesters are a joke too, eruptor can pop their shield in 1-2 shots to open up for a stunlock, quasar shot, or teammate support
Dagger deals with voteless and snitch bots pretty nicely on its own because of fire damage, and can be used to hit faster targets much easier than the eruptor.
I was waiting for you to post after the squids dropped in
I haven't tried the Halt on the squids yet but I gotta go try it now.
12:18 im sorry but this made me laugh way too much than it should've 😂
If you keep holding the forward button while you're jet packing you will actually ragdoll though you when you land.
Pro tip: if you use armor with the engineering kit passive, it is probably A tier when it comes to fighting the illuminate (in my opinion)
10:55 Harvesters have generators of shield you can destroy??? o.O
Thank you for this :)
23:30 The zoom remains the same for all weapons. Big ahh gun
The dominator can Oneshot overseers on the head at ANY range. If you can manage first person firing in this game is super broken.
Thank you! I don't see anyone mentioning it, and it's the one primary that can do it.
I guess I'm not going to change my dear crossbow anytime soon
When the Mage arrive you might find out that explosive weapon can be very dangerous against other players. The Illuminate strength never in their number or firepower. It's their strange abilities.
Shield.
Pasma and lightning.
Scramble your strategem.
And mind control.
I'd hope for an option to have an extended magazine some day
This is one of the best tier list and at 800hrs here playing only diff10, I mostly agree.
Here are my loadout for your reference:
Bug Side: (light armor)
Crossbow / Loyalist / Stunade
500kg, Laser Rover, Quaser Cannon, Last slot flex.
Bot Side: (heavy armor)
Plasma Punisher / Verdict / Thermite
500kg, Railgun, Supply pack, last slot flex.
- Heavy Armor means I stim a lot to run faster
Squid Side: (light/mid armor)
Dom Jar-5, Grenadistol, impacnade.
Yay another pooplove vid!! Love ur content man
Thank you!
You should make a new tier lists for the red and green strategems
@@kalebheidbreder8894 yeah the part was tough to watch ngl
Tenderizer is an A for me. Low mag capacity isn't a big deal with the warbond armors perks. Get 9 reserve mags and an increase to reload speed
Everything is pretty balanced but the ammo economy for everything needs to be buffed especially in the case of adult rifles
handling on the killzone rifle feels ass, even though it has great damage. misses often against jetpack guys, wouldn't recommend it
I just realized that the Cookout's designation is the SG-451. Like Fahrenheit 451.
:3
The killzone gun is actually almost as expensive as a warbond if you factor in that pretty much every warbond gives 300 sc back
Big yikes
I run the laser cannon, the sickle and the saw off shotgun. Not as good as some options but the infinite ammo is a massive boon.
I dr. pooplove your content please keep em coming
I think the las sickle should be S tier. It deals with the voteless, and the shields quite easily.
dropping the second wave of stuff early and for free didn't solve the problems with the overpriced store items
Im always gonna carry the Ole Reliable Senator for any Bug, Bot, or Squid.
Imma be honest, the new sniper feels like a discount plasma purifier (or a slightly buffed of purifier).
Constitution is actually good one you remember that you have melee binded
Hear me out the constitution is actually pretty good. Me and my friends have 2 manned super-helldive with constitution only and succeed. The main thing is melee spamming the voteless due to the melee one-shoting them on a head shot. I'd give it C teir it's quite usable but not the best.
Definitely, it's a melee weapon with a ranged option and should be treated as such.
I would be fine with the liberator concussive if it was good at stripping enemy armor and mechanical parts. Making it a really good support primary to pair with the senator or other support weapon to finish the job easier.
Honestly, all weapons are good when you know how to adapt your gameplay
FINALLY somebody recognizes how good the Halt is for illuminate
I honestly thought it would be pretty meh but then I noticed how much I was dominating everything with it
I'd swap scythe with sniper.
I liked using the adjudicator with a stalwart, use the stalwart on the horde and the adjudicator on the overseers
I don't understand people rating the arc-12 high, I really want to like it but it just feels like an inconsistent tickle cannon. It just seems pointless when other related guns just simply do so much more so much faster.
I hate fighting the squids, none of the primaries I've tried on my own felt good. I didn't think to try any of the liberators!
eh the STA-11 is my go-to for squids.
What armour do you use?
Scorchet against overseers is so so good.
I'm totally not watching this purely for my own validation in the weapons I use
