    I have found that if you are stuck in a line or on a bus and you politely call the restaurant and explain, they will work with you. One year we were waiting for the buses at Coronado Springs and went to the bus stop well over an hour before our dining reservation at Boma. We saw buses come twice for other parks before ours came. I called and explained and long story short, we were about an hour late but they still let us be seated.

      We were 30 min late to Raglan Road in Disney Springs because of a delayed boat from Port Orleans. I called ahead and they seated us late. Only thing that changed was our table location. We had a great time there!

      This happens all the time since Disney transportation is unpredictable.

    Occasionally when I get burned out in the afternoon at Magic Kingdom, I'll ride "It's A Small World" 2-3-4 times in a row. I find this relaxing --rhe line is generally short, it keeps you out of the sun, and hearing the song repeatedly happens whether you go just once or several times. Note that this only works on solo trips; with a companion, you risk getting strangled....

    • @peggyknecht5551

      My mom and I would be the most annoying people on that ride. We'd be the ones singing the whole ride.

    I love that Pandora to Africa path too!! The flotillas are an added benefit of this walk, especially on the path running next to the Discovery River on the way into Harambe (more opportunity for distanced interaction with the characters)

    I wore Tevas on my first adult trip bc I had busted my toe the Monday before we left and they ended up being THE BEST park shoe you could ask for. You can wear them on water rides and through puddles. They provide a decent amount of support (and I've had back surgery so that's no joke for me). As long as you get the right size, they don't rub your feet raw. I absolutely prefer them over any sneaker I've worn to the parks.

    • @zenwithanedge
      @zenwithanedge 9 місяців тому

      Totally agree!! I've been a Teva devotee for 30 years. They are the best shoes for all occasions, especially in the parks!!

      Never tried (or even heard of) Tevas, but I swear by my top-of-the-line New Balance shoes. I wear them all day every day of my life, and never have foot problems, not even discomfort.

      @zenwithanedge 9 місяців тому +1

      @@richardmercer2337 but New balance are not good in all weather. Tevas are sandals that you can wear in any kind of weather and they're very comfortable for many people.

    When we went to MK in April we realized that our Tron boarding group was going to be called during our dinner reservation at the Skipper Canteen. Before heading over to dinner, we asked a Tron cast member what to do and he said if we brought back our receipt from dinner they would let us on if we were eating when our boarding group was called. We ended up with time to spare so this wasn't necessary but it allowed us to not rush through our meal.

    Disney Pro's know, you can't do everything in each park in one day. Figure out what is important to you, and plan around that. Also be flexible in case there's a ride closure, or weather event ect

      This isn’t true, the last time i went to disney world i had 3 days total for MK, epcot, and hollywood studios. at MK day 1 i was able to ride everything but astro orbiter and peter pan. and i didn’t even rope drop i think i got there around 10am. epcot and hollywood studios were easy to ride everything except for frozen ever after (i’m a 20 year old male im not riding that)

    Definitely second the quick dry shoes/sandals. I always bring a pair of Crocs to slide into when it starts raining and tuck my real shoes and socks into my backpack so they stay dry.

    I watched your videos religiously when I booked our first Disney trip last September. You helped me out soooooo much. They big mistake I made since I booked in February before watching, is not having a break day 😂. I know that now since we were up bright and early for magic kingdom and stayed till the not so scary Halloween party. Then up bright and early the next day for Epcot. We were beat by our last day for animal kingdom.

    The Bamboo Room in The Brown Derby at MGM is a nice change of scenery if you've already dined in the main dining room before. A lot less noise in there. I assume it's used for private events, but I have been seated in there without asking before. There is a plaque on the wall at the entrance that tells you about the original Bamboo room from the original Brown Derby,

      We'll be first-timers and an adults only group when we go, one with fibromyalgia and another with autism. We will be there for 16 nights and plan to go to the parks early, leave midday-ish for the pool, rest, or resort hopping, then return to the park about 5 ish. We will each have a bumbag with a bottle holder. If we get wet then we get wet 😂

      @@richardmercer2337 I like the waiters and waitresses, and the food. Our waitress was hysterical. She actually said this to people down the aisle from us: "You see your cousins from New York and Pennsylvania (the family next to us, my mom and I)? They're not giving me problems, only you." We were all playing along with her. They looked at us, and we all just waved at them.

    Oga Cantina was a bust for us - had a reservation, but still had to wait 20+ minutes to be seated and then told to stand at the bar TIGHTLY wedged between other couples - so ridiculous we walked out! Trader Sam's was a hoot but be prepared to wait in line to put your name on the list! Best, most relaxed was Nomad Lounge outdoors in early September - did not have the churros, but food we got was great!

    • @Doxygurl
      @Doxygurl 9 місяців тому +1

      I found Oga’s cool but not so enjoyable for the reasons you stated. We were also standing at the bar very close to others. That was something I didn’t anticipate having made a reservation, but I’m also not that familiar with bars and lounges and how they generally work.
