They are, especially on trip advisor. The arrogance just oozes out of the “Disney experts” who’d rather just correct & be condescending to you rather than help.
I don’t understand the mentality personally, if you’re in a position to help someone then great! But a lot seem to want to pick apart your question and tell you to “Do your research”

We did the dining plan a few years ago as it was quite often included on the UK packages. We absolutely loved it as it saved having to work bills out all the time as we were a party of 3 friends. We didn't use all the snacks though and ended up buying tons of sweets from the gift shop on the last day :)

Love your point about solo trips! When I was 15 I went to Disneyland with my dad and 13y/o brother (who had a bad attitude and only wanted to ride California screaming 16 times in a row) I wanted to see more classic Disney so we split up 😅 and I had sooo much more fun

We were just at Disney a few months ago and one of our party members had just started chemo, so the group ended up splitting up a lot when people started getting exhausted. At first I was really self conscious toodling around by myself or sitting next to strangers in a ride vehicle, but it really WAS quite nice to go as slow as I wanted, so stop and look at what I wanted, to make as many bathroom stops as I wanted!

I suggest doing a solo disney trip at least once. I’ve done 7 (two of those part solo and part not). I loved them! But then my last solo trip (December 2021) was kind of lonely and I didn’t miss it too much after. My last wdw trip I took (December 2022) was with a friend, and I miss that trip so much!

Woot Woot for solo WDW vacations! You get to do what you want when you want. Sleep as late or get up as early as you choose - you can even have a dole whip for breakfast because who's going to say something LOL. I have been on these for the past 8 trips and I enjoy it a lot and this way when I do go with someone else I don't have that FOMO because I know next time I go I will be able to do what I missed when I am with someone else. Don't be scared to take a solo trip to WDW. I've taken solo trips this Spring and last Spring and loved it! I had so much fun that it might become a yearly tradition for me.
I'm in my 60s and need a scooter/ecv to get around WDW so one does not need to be young or in great shape to have a great solo trip.
I flew into MCO Orlando Airport and took the Mears Express to my WDW hotel and checked in and got my scooter.
Took mainly the bus for transportation to the parks and back. But I did use the Skyliner, Monorail, and Ferry Boats when park hopping. Having a scooter was no problem with any type of transportation in WDW.
There is too much to do and see to get lonely. And I chatted with people throughout the day and met some really nice folks while waiting in lines, waiting for fireworks to start, etc. I was afraid that I might be lonely in the hotel room at night, but I was so tired upon returning to the hotel that basically I just showered and went to bed.
I am also a person who has no problem being physically close with a stranger on rides so I was fine with being shoulder-to-shoulder and calf-to-calf on rides that try to fill all the sears or being the engineer when riding with a family on Millenium Falcon Smuggler's Run.
A solo trip is great. You can get up when you want, get to the parks when you want, eat when you want, ride what you want and skip what you don't like.

When our kids were in middle school, they told us that they were over traveling to WDW. That's fine with Mom and I. They were watched by my in-laws and we went to WDW without them. Also, sent the kids pictures from Disney of us having fun and sent the pictures during school hours. A family trip has kids and a vacation has no kids.

You make the DDP sound like it's all you can eat, however, if you don't go to a buffet, it only covers 1 entree and 1 dessert. So appetizers need to be paid for and you can't just splurge on everything. If you're into getting apps, especially to share, it's not worth it. And with only 1 snack credit a day, you won't be filling up too much for free

Something I wanted to note on the thing with having older kids plan Disney World with you. It's especially important to do that if your kids, of really any age past infancy, are autistic or otherwise neurodivergent. I know it sounds weird to some people, but some people with autism (even adults) don't do well with surprises and/or change. Having your kid, teenager, or even an adult child or family member with autism help plan is really important for their enjoyment. I'd suggest watching some videos of the rides, especially the rides the autistic person isn't used to or doesn't know much about.
Sorry for the wall of text. Just realized I typed a lot...

Wow. Its been so super long since I have visited Disney/Epcot. Probably 15 years or so. Went the first time in '72 when my parents took us kids. We used to go every year until we reached our teen years.....anyway...what a transformation from 15 years ago, not to mention, since '72. I went to the first ever Gay Days back in, I think it was, maybe '92....not many gay people came out to represent (unlike now) wearing the red etc etc (don't know if that is still a thing for Gay Days) but our names are etched in one of the wooden benches on Tom Sawyers Island to commemorate....Have you or would you do one of your in depth videos on Gay Days? Not trying to be political or anything, just wondering. It would be a very interesting watch.

Disney World in Florida is definitely better than Disneyland in California....the only thing Cali has going for it, is it's weather is beautiful....California only has the 2 parks & 3 Disney hotels AND it's smack in the middle of Anaheim, which takes you out of the Disney bubble! Florida has 4 parks plus 2 waterparks & 25 Disney hotels and it is in a bubble!

@1:39 "just ignore the kids" ... until one of them pushes you because you're not moving fast enough in a ride queue. Ignore the kids until one steps on your feet (or vomits on your shoes -- big shout out to that little blonde girl who barfed on my feet while I was wearing sandals and a double big shout out to her mom who told me to know better than wearing sandals. To an amusement park. In Florida. In 85° heat. While wearing sandals herself. ✌🏻). Ignore the kids until one of them hits you with a popcorn bucket because you won't trade with them. Ignore the kids until one loses their balance while standing on a rail and puts sticky hands on your new white shirt to balance themselves ... sure, just *ignore* it 🙄
Also, don't count on cast members to fully enforce the "adults only after 8" at Trader Sam's because if the adult isn't done and they have small children, they aren't going anywhere. 😕
Honestly, there needs to be more kid-free spaces -- especially the bar areas because I don't want to hear screaming babies while I'm sipping expensive tequila. 😂

As Walt said in his opening speech, "ALL are welcome to this happy place." The parks are not just for kids, but for anyone who wants to enjoy them. Responsible adults enjoy adult beverages and should not have to be subjected to your poorly behaved children. I don't know of any UA-camrs who are suggesting that they don't like children (especially those who cover the Disney parks), but there are adult-oriented activities that are desirable to a certain demographic. I'm sorry if this is out of your range of comprehension.

first of all i totally agree with on were you mention about fights and arguments have become more within the disney parks, it’s starting to seem to me the fact the parks are becoming to were there is more alcohol within the parks; back last year in 2022, last year was disney worlds biggest year where there was constant fights breaking out while there are families alongside these fights that are breaking that have small children, it just saddens my heart thinking these families came out to disney world or disneyland and you’ve got these fights and/or arguments going on were people just make an embarrassment of themselves, thank goodness for security walking around these parks while at the same time all these guests are having a good time. there’s just some people in my personal opinion whom forgets to mind their p’s & q’s while being inside the disney parks. it’s starting to seem that it’s becoming more often. i was vacationing with my loved ones in december of last year in ‘22, i was at magic kingdom for the mickey’s very merry christmas party, i was alongside dozens of others were waiting for the christmas parade to start and all of the sudden these two grown men alongside their loved ones that were with them got into a fight but eventually stopped. i believe didn’t have a cup of alcohol on them, probably did or just had gone somewhere to eat then long story short broke out into a over something that was so pointless and making an embarrassment of themselves. these disney parks should be more of family friendly place and not some place were fights or/and arguments break out, ridiculous! while i do agree with you on that but telling a youtuber like A.J. and the DFB team how to run their youtube channel is childish; this is a youtube channel that give advice on all age range of people whom go to the disney parks day in and day out. if some of her videos she does doesn’t have to do anything to do with you then keep your comments to yourself. these videos she does may help someone else out like for those with small kids for example; those tips and advice maybe good for them and not for you, if you have nothing nice to say then don’t say it. these videos are good advice she has on her youtube channel besides if you don’t like her videos then why watch them then go into the comments section like this and go off saying the most hateful stuff is so childish; respect it.

If the parks are for everyone to enjoy, why are adults trying to avoid kids then? You don't see kids asking to avoid or leave out adults from events.

My friend, you are poorly mistaken if you think that Disneyworld/Land is just for kids. In 2018 the demographics showed that only 36% of families who went to disneyworld were with children under the age of 18. Disney adults are the reason the parks are still running. I think it's understandable to have some child free spaces when we make up such a huge demographic.

@@emilyw2962 Then create new spaces for adults. Quit insisting on crowding out children from acceptable places. The idea behind Disney is inclusion. ALL of us should belong.
