Hello Highly Combustible Reacts ! Nightwish fans here, your musical quest summoned us. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing here in 2005 in the "End Of An Era" concert, in Helsinky, Finland, then with Tarja Turunen, the first female singer of the band, together with the bass player, Marco Hietala. This was also Tarja's last concert with the band, she was fired immediately after the show, with an open letter. Bitter-sweet memories.. Also a recent sad news - these days Marco Hietala, the bass player and male singer of the band, announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least - we'll see what the future brings to us. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. As I saw you really enjoyed this powerful performance of both Tarja and Marco. Hope you'll try some more. This is your first Nightwish reaction, so it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals) - you just heard her. She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile). There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol " Hoping you'll continue this journey with us, I'll drop here a list of songs with the current lineup of the band you may like (please consider this list of links only as "a tip of the iceberg", an indication that they have a vast and very diverse repertoire, and not as something mandatory): "Ghost Love Score" live at Wacken 2013 (epic score) ua-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/v-deo.html "Romanticide" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/v-deo.html "Storytime" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) ua-cam.com/video/pvkYwOJZONU/v-deo.html "Ever Dream" live at Wacken 2013 (uplifting vocals) ua-cam.com/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/v-deo.html "Song Of Myself" live at Wacken 2013 (dark/metal) ua-cam.com/video/lQu5QjidHWg/v-deo.html "Dead Boy's Poem" - live Buenos Aires 2018 (soulful ballad) ua-cam.com/video/S8E3L7ggLMM/v-deo.html "Ghost River" live at Wacken 2013 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/05eitd-EA6I/v-deo.html "Dark Chest Of Wonders" live at Wacken 2013 (metal, the greatest show opener ever) ua-cam.com/video/OvOD6xecph4/v-deo.html "My Walden" live at Wembley 2015 (celtic / folk) ua-cam.com/video/knqeI807ZlY/v-deo.html "Sleeping Sun" live at Vizovice Masters of Rock festival 2016 (ballad) ua-cam.com/video/pVPTUEW1PEM/v-deo.html "The Islander" live at Tampere 2015 (Marco in charge..) ua-cam.com/video/Zo8ncK_5kzc/v-deo.html "Stargazer" live at Tampere 2015 (operatic vocals / metal) ua-cam.com/video/NhEuAPYm_Ug/v-deo.html "Alpenglow" live at Wembley 2015 (uplifting / metal) ua-cam.com/video/FrJvKZNEh7g/v-deo.html "Sahara" live at Tampa 2016 (middle eastern vibe) ua-cam.com/video/lTvYfLa4Wlk/v-deo.html "Slaying The Dreamer" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/wA44tjaP5n0/v-deo.html "I Want My Tears Back" live at Buenos Aires 2018 (celtic / folk vibe) ua-cam.com/video/TBOdgxjb0kM/v-deo.html "Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean" live In Buenos Aires 2018 (metal) ua-cam.com/video/t26r_vAYQ0Q/v-deo.html "Weak Fantasy" live at Tampere 2015 (dark metal) ua-cam.com/video/AN239Pbqbjo/v-deo.html "7 Days To The Wolves" live at Wembley 2015 (dark metal) ua-cam.com/video/XvsfwAPbWXc/v-deo.html And if you want to hear Floor growling :) then try "Yours Is An Empty Hope" live at Mexico City in 2015 ua-cam.com/video/DuwY1d-KIss/v-deo.html Last but not the least - they just released their 9th studio album on April 10th 2020 named "Human :||: Nature" - just take a peek to their official playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLihZ3gi5Yvzc0pfH2cbNKUUX8o3pb8eVg.html (for example: "Shoemaker", the 3rd track from this album, tells the story of Eugene Shoemaker, one of the founders of planetary science, whose ash was sent on the Moon after his death, as a tribute from the scientific community ..) The links presented above are with the current singer of the band, Floor Jansen, since I'm a fan of the recent era of the band, with Floor as the singer. This may be the coolest damn comment ever! Mad respect for taking over the duties of passing along the band's history! That's a very noble task to undertake. Much respect. I did enjoy this performance very much and I will definitely be continuing on the Nightwish journey! Much love for the back story and the recommendations! I really appreciate this and will dig through them for sure! I definitely have a starting point now. This is awesome. I really appreciate you being here!
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts After years, the band's fans understood that a well-informed reactor makes the best decisions. Please consider the history of the band and the list of links as a compass and a map, in the middle of an ocean of 25 years of music. And don't worry, in any direction you take it from their history, you won't go wrong :) You have a beautiful journey to discover Nighwish here, so I will subscribe now. Greetings from Romania!
@@NeeceLoneWolf That pair of messages can be seen everywhere. Nothing but spam. Unlike Gabriel who somehow seems to immediately find every every single youtuber who reacts to Nightwish for the first time. Do you have some sort of a bot snooping for these or are you just a wizard?
@@Qwarzz funny enough, I've also realized that about Gabriel. Lol I've exchanged a few comments with him in some previous Nightwish reactions and although I did accuse him of being biased, as far as his preference to lead singers is concerned, I do acknowledge that he has done a great job in keeping the NW spirit alive.
And here I thought it was an opera singer, a pirate, a Viking, a wizard, and a hobbit. Later to become a Viking, a wizard, a hobbit, a teamster, a bard, and a warrior goddess.
I love when people react to Tarja’s performances, she has such a extraordinary voice. I love the Phantom of the Opera too and I can’t get enough of this version. IT'S SO GOOD!!!!
many people didn't realised at 3:50, "the phannnn" part, marco is singing at the same pitch as tarja!!! that note is D5 guys it is so f**king high!!! also "sing my angel of music" part, that is a very2 long breath with high notes he is singing
Marko too is classically trained. They are so different in how they sound but blend together so perfectly. I have seen many versions but no one sings Christine's aria with the sheer power that Tarja gives it while reaching those top notes. And that is NOT the top of her range. She has hit higher notes. Its rare but its been caught. Magic, pure and simple. Menacing Phantom and beautiful Christine. I get that Christine is 16 in the play and would not likely have that power or chest voice yet. But for just doing the song and not the story it is awesome!!
Have seen Phantom in London, New York, Stockholm and Helsinki...but I think this is the best of all. The best musical by the best band, enjoy Nightwish:)
Nightwish is a Finnish band that started in 1996. The band has 9 studio albums, the first 5 were recorded with Tarja, the woman you just heard. The second vocalist is Anette, who recorded 2 albums, and the current singer is Floor, who has also recorded two albums so far. The three vocalists have completely different voices and styles, but each one is good in its own way. Because of the different vocalists, if you want to know the band's catalog, it would be nice to explore the different eras. The five albums with Tarja are influenced by Gothic metal, power metal, symphonic music and folk music. Since Anette the band has been concentrating on elements of symphonic metal and folk music. Tarja left the band in 2005, at the time when UA-cam didn't exist yet. Most of the videos of live performances with Tarja were posted by fans. Some have good recording quality, but others do not. As for Anette, despite being less old than Tarja, it is more difficult to find good live recordings from her. Regardless, Anette has a better ability in the studios than live. Floor begun as a temporary member in 2012 and has been an official member of the group since 2013. It's easier to find videos of her with better recording quality. A lot of them were posted by the band itself. When reacting to Nightwish, it would be nice if you heard the versions recorded with the original singers and the current versions with Floor. The same song is quite different depending on who is singing, either because of the different voices and styles, or because of the changes that the group makes to adapt the old songs to the newer singers. I love Tarja's era. I would like to suggest one more performance of this same show (DVD End of an era). Please react to "Wishmaster". Thanks!
Great back information. I appreciate that. Will definitely take the journey and follow the route you all have turned me on to. Just put Wishmaster on the list. Much love for the history and recommendation.
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts Thank you! About the live performances with Tarja, you have a good chance of finding good videos on the channel "Nightwish Arena". In general, it is easier to find good videos from Tarja's time on the "From wishes to eternity" and "End of an era" dvds, but in addition to these dvds, there are also records of other shows here on UA-cam. Some of these records are also of good quality. Nightwish is phenomenal live, but if you never hear the albums, you'll miss out on some gems. Some iconic songs do not have live recordings, or when they do, the video quality is not good. An example of this is the song "Beauty of the beast". This is a song from the album "Century Child", the group's fourth. I consider this song to be one of the most iconic of the band. There is a live version of "Beauty of the beast", but the video quality sucks and ruins the experience. If you are going to react to "Beauty of the beast" I strongly recommend the studio version. It is important not to confuse "Beauty OF the beast" with "Beauty AND the beast". Nightwish has these two songs. "Beauty and the beast" is a song from the album "Angels fall first", the band's first, and has a good live performance on the dvd "From wishes to eternity".
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts hello you can try the biauty and the beast if you want it s true( end of an era) was something awesome and special because it was the last concert of Tarja she had Flu and she didn t knew what it s expected at the and all the musicians knews it s probably why they were so emotion so sadness and all the fans didn't expected that too there is another concert from wishes to eternity you can try to find it it was in 2002 i think if you want listen dead boy poem and swanheart bye
"...this is something I want to see live". The understatement of the century. Welcome down this rabbit hole my friend. Live music will not be the same ever again for you.
Very smart of you to do songs from other countries aswell. Spread your wings in music all over the world. I think this video brought you over the border of USA and gave you many new fans. Well done and keep up the good vibes
That's weird that the closed captions read "scream, scream my angel" at the end, when Marco really gets going...but he's actually saying "sing, sing my angel" as in the original. Nightwish didn't change any lyrics or structure from the song, they just rearranged it to make it...better? I wanna say better. The savage, unhinged nature of the Phantom character really comes through here, where it doesn't so much in the stage musical. It just gets more and more intense, as this psycho killer organ-playing opera lover who's been stalking this young girl, betrays his true nature. Really cool, this interpretation. And I've read that it's Lloyd-Weber's favourite off-stage version of the song as well...it just has that intensity that can't be beat.
I noticed the captions were off too. That's okay though because the band was spot on. They did the song their way, but retained the beauty and respect to the original! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and for spending a little time with me on my journey!
nightwish always have master band to make cover songs like this one, pink floyd cover high hopes, walking in the air (original snow man) gary moore over the hills and far away. thanx to great reaction and have great day there.
That's THE Siren, Tarja Turunen❤This was Fall, Helsinki, Finland 2005, "End of an Era" Tour concert. I was 18 then, I'm now 37. Beautiful venue. Beautiful country. This was the last time we heard the Siren, the Viking, the Pirate, the Vampire & the Zombie all perform together. I'll never forget it... Thanks for sporting this reaction video!!! Cheers from Portland, OR! 😎🍻
The siren, Sleeping Sun, and Slaying the Dreamer are great songs from this same DVD *End of an Era*, and also great songs to see some more of "Tarja's vocal power".
Hey, mate! Nightwish and Tarja long-time fan/addict here! lol haha. I see you're becoming one too, so welcome on board! haha. Loved your reaction btw, you've got a new subscriber right here and "like" buttons hitted!😊 I've seen most of your reactions to this epic, extraordinary, legendary band with Floor on vocals and this one of "The Phantom" with my dear Tarja❤, and man, I'm so glad to see so many people on YT reacting to Nightwish and thus coming to know their music this way! Nightwish lore spreading all around!!! 🤘🖤Yeah! haha. I mean, you witnessed it, their music is so... God, no mundane word is enough to describe such magnificent otherworldly realm that they've created through their Music!!! Unique atmosphere, pure magic! Almost a spiritual experience to me! Curious fact: did you know that, during this concert ("End of an Era", 'twas in 2005, and the last time they performed with Tarja) where is their version of "The Phantom of the Opera", Tarja (the amazing lady singer with magical operatic voice you just heard) was very sick with a fever and severe throat infection? She didn't even know if she'd be able to sing that night, yet she did it marvellously! So if this is not the best she can do, just imagine how damn incredible she is at her best!😍 Anyway, I see our friend Gabriel already summarized Nightwish's history for you and gave you a list with many of their greatest masterpieces with performances mostly from Floor's era, so I'd like only to encourage you to keep following his list, as well as I'm adding some more NW masterworks from Tarja's era to that list (I'm more of an "old school Nightwisher" haha, but I absolutely LOVE their music with all singers, for each of them are equally amazing, great artists, just in different ways and styles, who brought special, individual and unique elements to the band that helped them grow, mature and develop their artistic identity). I highly recommend that you add these to your reactions list as well (I'm sure you'll be thrilled!): 1. ua-cam.com/video/lwerko8X_aU/v-deo.html . This one is "Beauty of the Beast", from the 2002 album "Century Child". It's the studio version, 'cause the quality of the recordings I found are pretty bad unfortunately. But it's one of my favourite songs! The first long epic score before Ghost Love Score! Perfecto imo! 2. ua-cam.com/video/YODCM26JXOY/v-deo.html . "Ghost Love Score", also from "End of an Era", and the song, from 2004 album "Once". One of their greatest masterpieces of all times! Floor also sings this one perfectly❤ (I saw you already reacted to Floor's version and it's awesome really), but I personally love the way Tarja sings it better, I feel like she deeply understands the crucial importance of the instrumentals (especially the epic orchestral arrangement and choir), and the unspoken soul of the song; if you listen closely sometimes she even seems to use her voice like an instrument, often blending her sound with the orchestra's, becoming one living soul with the music. It's just so perfect imo! 3. ua-cam.com/video/JYVl6MOZXIs/v-deo.html . This is "Swanheart", in live performance from 2001 dvd "From wishes to Eternity". The song is originally from their album "Oceanborn" (1998). Beautiful, stunning ballad song! 4. ua-cam.com/video/lZgkxgkH6I8/v-deo.html . "Planet Hell", also from "End of an Era" dvd (song originally from "Once" as well). Tarja & Marco!😍 They rock so freaking amazing together! 🤘 5. ua-cam.com/video/E_RRMRXJWxI/v-deo.html . "Sleeping Sun", also live version from "End of an Era". Outstanding performance, beautiful and iconic song!!! 6. ua-cam.com/video/GG8UNbI2KM4/v-deo.html . "10th Man Down", from 2001 EP "Over the Hills and Far Away", and performance is live at the Summer Breeze Fest in 2002. Grand! 7. ua-cam.com/video/VSMCD39EIMc/v-deo.html . "Kuolema tekee taiteilijan", also from "End of an Era" dvd (and originally from "Once" as well). I put this ballad song because it's simply beautiful and so very touching (plus, it's in finnish and I love it! haha). So touching! 8. ua-cam.com/video/f3aM0XjYdBA/v-deo.html . "The Kinslayer", also live from "End of an Era", song originally from 2000 album "Wishmaster". Now, since I'm also a Tarja addict😆hahaha, I followed her solo career far more closely and can assure she's been doing a stunning, beautiful solo work too. I just love her so much! Like, her operatic, expressive, strong, dark, powerful yet heavenly and pure voice, and the deep emotional magic she's capable of delivering through her renditions, have always given me more goosebumps all over my body, bringing tears to my eyes with every breath and touching the depths of my soul ❤! I feel like she put an everlasting spell on me since I first listened to her, when I was like 13 or 14! Haha. A-hem... Sorry about that. haha Well, as such a huge Tarja fan that I am, I must present you with her solo career work, where she shows much more of her power imo, plus she has much more freedom since she started her solo career, she can compose and write her own songs, play piano, sing however she wants to, and just fully liberate her truest artist soul. Her solo musical style is quite different from Nightwish, although it does have plenty of the symphonic metal elements as main references such as some kinds of guitar riffs, the epic orchestral arrangements and her remarkable operatic vocals, but she incorporates aspects of many other styles, AND it's just as magnificent!! I love the fact that she just walked her own path and found her "artist self", never trying to copy or recreate her old days with the band, and I absolutely LOVE the results of her choices, I hope you like it too. So, here we go: 1. ua-cam.com/video/6T-Wyw9lYyM/v-deo.html . "In for a kill", from her 2010 album "What lies Beneath", but this is a performance from her 2012 first live-album "Act I". It's bombastic! Hear the lion within her roar! 2. ua-cam.com/video/K3QmQN7VSNI/v-deo.html . This performance is also from Act I, a kind of mixed version of two of her ballad songs ("Oasis" and "The archive of lost dreams"). Here she sings while playing a grand piano, showing some dramatic nuances of her expression and voice, kind of "gothic vibes". She delivers such a touching, emotional and beautiful performance! It makes me shiver and cry every time! I've never seen any reactor pick this performance to do a reaction, but imo more should do it, it's a "forgotten" treasure! 3. ua-cam.com/video/jxqodwLVdcU/v-deo.html . "Love to Hate", this song is part of her 2016 album "The Shadow Self" and the performance recorded in 2018 for her live-album Act II. Outstanding, another breathtaking performance, one of my favorites! 4. ua-cam.com/video/tv4XWkTWQ0M/v-deo.html . "Undertaker", also live for Act II, and another track from "The Shadow Self". So epic and Incredible! 5. ua-cam.com/video/UGkbQj8e6JI/v-deo.html . "Crimson Deep", the song is also from "What lies Beneath" and this performance, from Act I too. This one gives me chills, I just love it! 6. ua-cam.com/video/TGjkjNXYBWI/v-deo.html . "Dead Promises", live at Masters of Rock 2019, and the song is from her latest 2019 album "In the Raw". Freaking awesome! 🤘 7. ua-cam.com/video/0QtdQQne2Ts/v-deo.html . "Passion and the Opera", this one is actually by Nightwish, but she performed this in her solo career, and this one was in 2007. Sooo amazing!!! I don't think she performed this one live while with NW, I'm not sure though, need to check this out. 8. ua-cam.com/video/e5zEb5xFlIE/v-deo.html . "Supremacy", it's a Muse heavier cover, live at Woodstock 2016. Great! Since Tarja is a classically trained lyrical singer who often performs in classical concerts, reacting to some of her classical performances would be awesome too, if you have time for it, of course haha, AND if you're into some classical music stuff as well (I love it, I'm a metalhead but also a classical musician, so..... surely I love it😆). I promise it's worth it though, she's really amazing! 1. ua-cam.com/video/T2VIhB7q9uQ/v-deo.html . This is a czech opera aria called (in english) "Song to the Moon", from Dvorák's opera "Rusalka". Tarja sings it beautifully, so expressive, majestic and stunning! 2. ua-cam.com/video/kEFFp3G3cMc/v-deo.html . This one is the "Ave Maria" composed by Tarja herself. It's heavenly, divine and touching! 😍 3. ua-cam.com/video/761qOzEdl8E/v-deo.html . This german aria is "Mein Herr Marquis", from Johann Strauss' opera "Die Fledermaus". Here she shows some super high notes of her soprano vocal range and quite an agility that is really impressive, for her voice has a little more dramatic, heavier and darker timbre, and this in lyrical music world generally means, in short, that the singer (man or woman) won't have so much agility due to some physiological features. 4. ua-cam.com/video/4NL6xSHWQv0/v-deo.html . This is Tarja singing Puccini's "O mio Babbino Caro". Exquisite!😍 Thank you, mate! Hope to see your reactions to some of these songs Haha. Be well!! PS.: Sorry for my long comment, I just couldn't resist it 😆 Hahaha

The best band in the world. They have made many albums and have millions of followers. Tuomas, the keyboard player, has composed all their songs, the others contributing their ideas. All their songs are great but you might like Poet and the Pendulum, the Greatest Show on Earth and all the songs in their latest album Human||Nature, just to mention a few.
@@konidvor Anyone who can give me the chills like they did while performing is definitely someone I want to see more of. Even if the lead singer changes, the fans seem to have stayed with the band, so they must still be phenomenal.
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts They are special. The music very melodic even with hard sounding instruments, the lyrics always very deep and meaningful, vocals just perfect. And the guys in the band have nice personalities, very humble and funny. To me the band became even better with new vocalist. I knew their music since 2000, but never been a fan of Tarja operatic vocals. And now when I heard the same songs with Floor, I'm totally hooked and true fan :) Got tickets on 3 shows )))
the North German Division of the Nightwish Army reports !! We are there. special greetings to #GabrielBardac and of course the rest of the Nightwish army and the sabaton family

@@eTraxx I have gotten a couple comments about it. It makes NO sense to me! LOL I am actually using this camera that I bought off of Thailand's version of Amazon: www.lazada.co.th/products/i1341542357-s3360026882.html So I was really shocked to get comments about how good the video was. The camera itself is only like $12-$15 or something but it had a LOT of 5 star reviews. For a green screen, I literally went and bought 5 giant pieces of green construction paper and taped them to the wall behind me. I don't have a big space in my room, so I was trying to make it work using what I could. I really appreciate the kind words about the video, truly. We will be doing even more upgrades to the channel as we go along, APPARENTLY we will NOT have to get another new camera though since this one is working really well. We updated the camera with our first subscriber donation. Your comment actually surprised the hell out of me because I literally do have a pretty ghetto setup compared to other reactors doing the thing.
Wonderful reaction vid - always better when you are familiar with the song beforehand. I love this crossover with genre's as well. I would be interested to see how you like a band called Eluveitie (El-vay-tee) and their song "Rebirth", official video.
Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan? The band is call "Lovebites" They all Beautiful female metal band. But they are really really World class musicians. And they have a lot fans too. The song is "Glory to the world" Don't worry, the song is in English lyrics ( you can ON subtitle ) Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏

Nightwish is a Botswanan band that started in 1763 with the lead drummer Jukk'Mrko and then a Tarzan Turunenkov happened to see them in the village market place. His father was the local carpenter and keyboards player and
This is how you do a cover, you make your own version of it, while still respecting the original song. I mean you were to make an exact copy why bother, then you might as well listen to the original. And this is what Nightwish does well when they do Covers (they also have an amazing cover of Pink Floyds - High Hopes but wait a bit with that one, Nightwish have plenty Original songs). Btw. when given the choise always go live with them. Live is where you see who really are good, without that "studio magic", and you'll see their chemistry, hear the crowd etc.
Absolutely! I am one of those people that believes the original must be respected as well! Thank you for your comment Argantyr. I really appreciate you taking the time. That's what makes it more amazing is that it is live!
And to think, they fired her after this performance. But she was going to go anyway sooner rather than later. And now we have Floor. :D Though no Marco. :'(

@@FluffyLaDooDoo they're very good.. maybe include Lzzy, Celine and Mariah if you're name dropping... but if there's anyone who can match Floor in every* single* genre* .. operatic, classical, belting, cleans.. i have yet to see it. ie pick a singer and she'll go toe to toe with them. #myopinion..

There is always Tarja vs Floor fans, when the star of the show has always been Marco. (Oh yes, there may be Anette fans somewhere under a stone, I mean she is great, up there but, y'know...)

Floor doesn’t have that operatic ability which is not bad but I do prefer Tarja because she has that punch and dark voice which makes the song so heavy

This is your first Nightwish reaction, so it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
So be prepared. lol "

Tarja my god always with that powerful amazing voice. I love her so much. TARJA YOU ARE THE BEST THE BEST
many people didn't realised at 3:50, "the phannnn" part, marco is singing at the same pitch as tarja!!! that note is D5 guys it is so f**king high!!! also "sing my angel of music" part, that is a very2 long breath with high notes he is singing

@@HighlyCombustibleReacts I can promise you won't be disappointed by any of their covers. Their own stuff is even better of course.
Holy shhhttt ❤️ Tarja is so powerful and beautiful
Nightwish Army is Coming ! Enjoy the Ride Mate ;) !
love it,, especially Marco taking his belts from the top to the bottom two times,, just awesome..
nightwish always have master band to make cover songs like this one, pink floyd cover high hopes, walking in the air (original snow man) gary moore over the hills and far away. thanx to great reaction and have great day there.
Thank you for the kind words lujalainen1! I appreciate you taking the time!
Greetings from Finland and thanks for your reaction 😀🥶🤧😷❤🤘
Much love Finland. Glad to have you here iloinen! Thank you
Best ever. Epic.
Every Nightwish singer are fireee
The best duet!! I love Tarja so much!!!
Great reaction. Another great Tarja song reaction from this 'Era" is "Deep Silent Complete"
Enjoy the journey.
THANKS for some TARJAWISH !!!!!
In love with TARJA'S vast brilliant diverse solo career 💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
So if this is not the best she can do, just imagine how damn incredible she is at her best!😍
Anyway, I see our friend Gabriel already summarized Nightwish's history for you and gave you a list with many of their greatest masterpieces with performances mostly from Floor's era, so I'd like only to encourage you to keep following his list, as well as I'm adding some more NW masterworks from Tarja's era to that list (I'm more of an "old school Nightwisher" haha, but I absolutely LOVE their music with all singers, for each of them are equally amazing, great artists, just in different ways and styles, who brought special, individual and unique elements to the band that helped them grow, mature and develop their artistic identity). I highly recommend that you add these to your reactions list as well (I'm sure you'll be thrilled!):
1. ua-cam.com/video/lwerko8X_aU/v-deo.html .
5. ua-cam.com/video/E_RRMRXJWxI/v-deo.html .
Haha. A-hem... Sorry about that. haha
Well, as such a huge Tarja fan that I am, I must present you with her solo career work, where she shows much more of her power imo, plus she has much more freedom since she started her solo career, she can compose and write her own songs, play piano, sing however she wants to, and just fully liberate her truest artist soul.
So, here we go:
1. ua-cam.com/video/6T-Wyw9lYyM/v-deo.html .
7. ua-cam.com/video/0QtdQQne2Ts/v-deo.html .
3. ua-cam.com/video/761qOzEdl8E/v-deo.html .
Exquisite!😍
Thank you, mate! Hope to see your reactions to some of these songs Haha. Be well!!
PS.: Sorry for my long comment, I just couldn't resist it 😆 Hahaha

Xandria - Forevermore
ua-cam.com/video/d_E7oamupsQ/v-deo.html
Xandria - The Dream Is Still Alive
The best band in the world. They have made many albums and have millions of followers. Tuomas, the keyboard player, has composed all their songs, the others contributing their ideas. All their songs are great but you might like Poet and the Pendulum, the Greatest Show on Earth and all the songs in their latest album Human||Nature, just to mention a few.
In the future, you will check "Ghost Love Score" at Wacken 2013; is amazing performance... other wonderful front-woman: Mrs.Floor Jansen!!!

@@HighlyCombustibleReacts They are special. The music very melodic even with hard sounding instruments, the lyrics always very deep and meaningful, vocals just perfect. And the guys in the band have nice personalities, very humble and funny. To me the band became even better with new vocalist. Hey much love. I appreciate that. Thanks for taking the time to be kind!
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts I was serious. For whatever reason your video is very nice .. excellent graphically. It makes me think I need to use my DSLR for videos instead of a webcam. When I was a kid, I lived in England for three years and one day I was out walking and came upon a Rolls Royce. It was at that exact point in time and space .. :) .. that I realized the difference between "Every Day .." ... and quality

So I was really shocked to get comments about how good the video was.

That's what makes it more amazing is that it is live!

marco before his throat surgery. damn.
No, this is Marko after the surgery. The surgery happened in, I think it was 1996? Before he joined Nightwish, anyway.
There is always Tarja vs Floor fans, when the star of the show has always been Marco. (Oh yes, there may be Anette fans somewhere under a stone, I mean she is great, up there but, y'know...)
