  • Several months ago I received an fan upgrade kit from Tiny Machines for my Creality CR-10S Pro v2 3D printer. This replaces the stock electronics cooling setup over the control board, in the power supply and the exhaust air fan. This isn't a regular item on the Tiny Machines website so be sure to contact them if you are interested in such an upgrade.
My video gives a large overview of the installation. Sadly my camera SD card failed during filming so the portion covering the control board is unavailable.
WARNING - As with any electronic upgrade use caution to prevent damage! if you aren't comfortable doing these sorts of upgrade, consult a professional!

Thanks for watching! The machine is way quieter now! Be sure to check out my other videos too! (Did you notice the new lavalier microphone? Thanks to my viewers, I have been using that UA-cam revenue to improve the look and sound of my content.) THANK YOU! 😎

I have replaced all fans on my Creality machines as they all have the obnoxiously loud fans, when it came to replacing the ones on my 2 Ender 5+ machines I only had RGB silent fans so I fitted those to make the Ender 5 Disco+, I fell asleep in the garden one evening and awoke facing my workshop window and for a second I thought a UFO had landed LOL

It's nice to see the 10s_Pro getting some love on YooBoob; everything, upgrade-wise, seems to be for the Ender-3.
My first question for you is _how on earth did you put up with the noise for so long?!_
Lol, seriously, I think I had mine for a week before I caved and went the Noctua route, and even now, the 24v jobby in the PSU bugs me no end when it kicks in.
My second question is, did you use one of TinyMachines' hex files, or did you compile your own version of Marlin?
I have a heavily modded V1, and I've had a BL-Touch sat on my desk for the last year & a half, but I've been in no rush to fit it (along with a V6 hot end) as everything works just fine, so, Q3 would be, is it worth the upgrade?

Hi ! My CR-10S Pro started as a V1. Bought second hand on Facebook. Upgraded to v2 because I prefer the BL Touch. Noise question, well I have it in an enclosure but even then, she was a howler. Question two is I’m using TM3D’s firmware
The next problem to resolve will be solved upgrading to DDX. Video coming soon. The stock hot end keeps cooking the tube. The machine prints great but every few weeks my extrusion/flow will go nuts and fail prints. Pull the tube out, cooked again. Time to evict the cheap and install some quality hardware. Thanks for the comment!

Hey I replaced the hotbed on this same printer and I'm having the darndest time finding the wiring setup to correctly reinstall it. There is one for the V2 out there, but that's not accurate to my printer. I think this one, the not V2 version, is accurate. Can you post an image of the wiring setup accros the power supply and the box to the right of it? I need to know exactly where those hotbed wires go exactly. I can get it to heat with thermal runaway, or not heat at all (disconnected), but a proper thermistor setup escapes me. I thought a good clear view would help. Thanks in advance.

Interesting video. Thanks for sharing your upgrade.
I am working on the noize reduction on mine too and while looking at your video I am wondering why you didn't work on the air flow.
While looking at the bottom of the printer, I can see there are holes almost every where and in fact the fans are just mixing the air inside the printer. Some pieces of cartboard should optimize the air flow and therefore again reduce the activity of the fans. Lets try it !

I wouldn’t use a combustible material near electrical components. I bought that kit from Tiny Machines. I also have my printer inside a safety enclosure so the added flow works for me

Would you look at that. Noctua fans. I had no doubt that it would be better than the stock fans. I do not build any computer without Noctua fans. There are so few fans that can compete with Noctua fans.
