I think it would be really cool if there was a really colourfull variant that went all out with the poison and was more of a scavenger rather than an active predator. It would probably scare other creatures away from a carcass just with a little writhing dance to flash it's colours as a warning.

A smallish pest dragon that is sort of like foxes/rats/rabbits/owls where they can live pretty much everywhere and have variations depending on their climate? I have been trying to design a mammalian dragon for a while but it's surprisingly difficult, so this creature could be a different clade. More of a wild animal but some people have tried to tame them recently with mixed results. In the city, they are considered the most difficult animal to exterminate since they have the intelligence or a three or four year old (like a dog or parrot) and will eventually figure out how to escape or avoid any trap. Some people have claimed that they remember years later who has tried to kill them in the past and who have given them a sandwich and will react accordingly. Select members are capable of mimicry where they can copy sounds like a bird. They like shiny things. They are the stars of children's books and horror movies.
Okay I absolutely adore this idea! A pest dragon was never even on my radar but it’s such a cool concept!
