Slab of a flatty there mate - great catch, and the channel is taking off! Have you tried the Vexed Buckabous yet? They slay the lizards downriver and the blowies don't shred them 😂
@dfjmadventures cheers bro yea I haven't but I want too give the buckabou skirts a go so I can use 1/16 jigs I seen tacklewest had a video on them recently they just clip onto any jighead sound pretty good
nice lizard mate! i walked past you earlier when you just got there. got a decent 48cm off the Burswood jetty down from you. Zman grubs in watermelon red are killer with the flatties at the moment too.
@connorbrown3498 ow nice bro, the big girls are definitely out and about! Yea I was thinking about using a 2.5 minnow too but the jigheads i was using are slightly too big for the baitjunkie minnows so opted for the CrushCity Creeper. I'll have to checkout that Jetty area it looks the goods from Google maps
@DanielGill-j4p cheers bro, they are kind of everywhere now tbh but look where the wind and current is pushing onto curves in the river, find structure and sand and there will probably be flattys around 😀
@Wallahhabibi-wk4fw id put 6lb still mate, u could go 8lb but a 2000 is just a 1000 with a bigger spool for most reels, 2500 i run 8lb on my sienna but it hardly gets used now days.
I was at Elizabeth quay yesterday, hooked onto this monster flatty, at the start I thought I was snagged because my rod just bent so far when I was reeling it it and I just saw the head but it broke my line and took my daiwa double clutch with him
@MartytheGOD just need realy light gear to cast lightly weighted plastics, I'm using a 1-4kg fast action rod and a 1000 size real with 6lb braid/leader, the rod helps alot my 712lfs is designed to cast 1/20-1/12 weighted plastics specifically and hardbodys upto 75mm
walk past there every day never seen anyone catch anything worst spot ever, also the river isnt clean man i wouldnt even eat that but nice fish sorry for being a hater
That's strange, you say it isn't clean yet the 13 Unis/Tech schools, DBCA, Dept of Water, Swan River Trust and River Guardians that study and test the Swan all say the water quality is the 3rd best since they started taking records. Talking out your arse.
Good spot and nice fish there bro. Wind sometimes is a bit of a challenge but persistence I the key. Great stuff bro.

@MartytheGOD damn bro what a monster, they definitely out and about!
yeah Man, with your other video when you used a 1/16 jighead and a 1 inch grub how were you able to cast so far out? I can only cast a few meters
