Do you remember when we met at a bcf last Thursday? I was shopping for fishing gear and on the next day we went fishing in the swan. I caught a small tailor and a few small bream at Point Walter. Wonderful video!!!!

Awesome day out Jimmy. Haven't seen a cobbler in years. I remember as a kid getting them with the dolphin torch and Gidgee while the old man and uncle were dragging the prawn net
Gday buddy there's heaps around while I was fishing🔥 the ban they had really helped the stocks in the river hey 🐟🐟🐟 never stood on one but mu mate has and it looks painful😭😭😭 but I remember dragging a net with my dad and you'd always get them in the net, just remember sifting through the seaweed and trying to be careful not to get stung💯😁👊🎣🐟🔥🔥🔥👍

Nice one for sure Jimmy….love that simple yet elegant bake, did look delicious! Till I was about 9 or 10, my mom and dad would take us (me and my 2 older sisters), surf cast fishing at Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. We’d come home with a nice catch of flounder, and my mom, born in Edinborough, Scotland, knew how to make some incredible fish and chips. Loved the day, loved the dinner….a favorite memory for sure. And I remember the poles they used…..about 7’ bamboo poles that together they hand made by meticulously binding each eye on with multicolored silk thread, as well as the reel mounts, then several layers of clear lacquer to secure them. My dad made his own sinkers from old tire balance weights(he was an auto mechanic), and he used plain old earth worms for bait….worked every time. Unfortunately those beautiful poles disappeared when they moved from that house. Thanks again for sharing another great day and have a great week Broski!! 😎👍🏻👍🏻✌️🍺🍺🐟🐟🤙

So lucky brother, our flatty numbers are depleted next to extinction here in parts of Tasmania, new size and bag limit recently, however I don't have much hope as so many don't follow them hence the reason it's screwed, great content as standard from you 🤙

would be cool if you could test some of these Temu products for us,id like to see how the bait castor works in the sea.And their artificial lures.would be cool to see which ones work better in the sea or ocean.Some one told me there are only 2 things to remember when you using a baitcastor,1 you keep your finger lightly on the reel and when the baits about to enter the water you stop the reel with your finger,2 never reel the fish in,pull back and reel forward,do not reel the fish in.
G'day bud yeah the temp stuff would be interesting 🤔 sure some of it would work too but how long the part would last idk, as for Baitcasters never really used them bit of a spin reel lover used overheads out on the boats and they where good but spin reels is where I lerlarnt him to fish 🙏🎣🐟

No shit flathead is in my top 5 fish to eat. I love em. I was shocked to hear most people throw me back in WA. Over east it’s something ya don’t turn ya nose up at cause they’re 1 of the best fish to eat.
