Everything was cool, but Kiếm and Luke were just amazing. "I am but a humble servant." I'm not sure which if them is creepier, honestly. But it's wonderful.
Can I just say that I like Xander and his range? He went from a meek if Bipolar Malkavian to a brawler Nos with little effort. And a good contrast between an Occult Skill Monkey Nos like Jasper to a down and dirty Potence packing pugilist, not everyone in the clan is a nerd.
The fact that they ended this episode with Kiếm's segment was thrilling! Khalida was right to say that she was the hardest to read. And I love how deranged and semi-fractured she got here with her soon-to-be ghoul. Her backstory seems to present the most conflict. I lived for the moment when she attacked a prey so viciously to send a message across her ghoul and once again showcased that this is one unpredictable Toreador whose violent streak is not exactly unheard of from the clan, but contained instead. Kiếm doesn't do so.

Ngl, can we get a 5-minute video of Coco just cursing? Her screaming curse words was some of the best cursings ever. Such a fascinating episode and fills in a lot of character depth, especially that Kiem is quite unhinged. I wonder just how long it is going to take for the other 3 to figure that little bit of news out and if they'll be happy picking up after her for decades. Or they just run her into a stake.
Just a heads up there's a World of Darkness Humble Bundle currently with 4 days left, including the V5 Vampire rulebook, Camarilla and Anarch sourcebooks and several PC games such as Coteries of New York. Well worth checking out. Now, on with the episode...
By the Dark Mother; Noura grows more captivating each time she graces our screens! Her current character is extremely well played; but I still miss Ib! I can see where we are heading with this season; well, as much as one can with ad lib! This is either going to be home run or a dumpster fire! (Most likely a bit of both!) Thank you all; this has been more than an old player could have ever wished for!
What a great epsiode! Love the dynamics between the childer and their sires and how much distrust and conspiracy there's going on in the background. Coterie vs sire loyalty is always fun to explore and while I feel that usually the coterie tends to win out, I'm not at all sure about this here ^-^
Aw, sucks that I had to work and missed the live show and fun chat. Great idea though for this solo-split session! It's so awesome to get a look into the characters' off-screen life.
Wow, this episode was really something. Particularly de Kiem part left me so stunned and charmed I have no words. At the same time, I'm starting to dislike Khalida more and more Which, mind you, is not an offense towards Noura, if anything if means she plays her well. Brawn is so cute, but at the same time I found it funny how both Khalida and Kiem said he's closest to Kiem, while he himself said he's only close to Coco, while with Kiem it was more a repaid favour; which I found a bit weird too since Kiem is the one always standing up for him and comforting him about his appearance and all. Coco is such a schemer, what's not to like. I wonder what are the crazy things her sire made her do to embrace her, that she mentioned? I feel like overall they seem like a well oiled coterie when together, but when separate it turns out they're all kind of just there for themselves and using the rest. Apart from maybe Brawn who seems to be all about the group. They're all soo actually distrusting of each other. It's very Camarilla I guess. Compare it with the Anarch coterie, who is super disfunctional and keeps making a mess, but in the end they all just have each other and really care about the group.
tbf up until the last act of the game Julia is quite attached to her past because of Dakota, its only by embracing what she is at the very end that she decides to cut off that attachment to her past.
I don't know. For me it was somewhat anticlimactic. But that's mostly because those "revelations" were just explicitly standing things I already thought might be true.
9:00 If i ever play a Lasombra i will specifically insist my sire not to be a jerk, and if bee one be a nice sire, I love how Coco stand up for this. This is just silly how can one expect loyalty where he plants reason for revange
Ehhh, siring in an almost “Bible book of Job” manner is a huge part of lasombra culture as a clan. blood bonds deal with the disloyalty in some cases, but even more than that you can just have it where your PC doesn’t know that they terrible incidents and tragedies that they went through leading up to being embraced where the sites fault.
But frankly if you want a “nice” sire or really a “nice” lasombra, then you’re thinking about their clan wrong. They’re all about being the best and the most worthy and destroying everyone who isn’t. Them ripping potential candidates personal lives apart is primarily about seeing whether the person will rise above it and seek to keep going and keep pushing through life, to see if they have the willpower that they’ll need as vamps. It’s not about making the childe like them, it’s about making the childe unknowingly prove that they’re the best and that they’re worthy of the lasombra blood
Excellent episode. I enjoyed all the V Cast In a chat. My impressions so far. Kiem actual human daddy is actually a bigger monster than Amadeus. Toreadors are passionate about art and Kiem's case the canvas is well death and murder. Not all artists use paints in their media. Khalida so far is useful pawn to Rafferty and since blood binded to her sire. It will be interesting to see how much is her actual power is without Daddy's backing. Fuego is far weaker than Khalida but the difference it's her actual power and she isn't dependent on Rafferty. I will be rooting for Fuego to make the Bronx into the Vronx. Coco it's very interesting to see how she able to use the boons wisely. I think her relationship with her sire is much more equal than Khalida's since she has ability to act more independently. Brawn in some cases I would never have to say this it might be best you write things down in a journal. Keep that said journal on you at all times. Guard your heart Theory time. Of all the ladies vampires Keim is far more dangerous than Coco or Khalida due to her backstory. There's an unknown quantity about Kiem. I believe there's two sources of blood magic paints. Lizzie's version of blood magic paint is far more potent than Serif's. I think someone is being naughty in the Tremere clan in teaching how to make it. Which brings up another candidate for the source the clan Tzimches could have made it. The second source is Francis while a Thin Blood the only time we know of is when he made paint for Serif's. While I do think a blood hunt will be Francis' fate in the end. I don't think Thin Blood Alchemy is the source of Lizzie's paint just because of potency. The art was Lizzie produce had same effect as Toreador clan bane from what we observed.
My theory was honestly Francis, both because of the Serif thing, but also because Lizzie followed them on the spray date, him in particular actually, which to me means she has some particular bond/interest with him.
11:37 Stupid question: Different princes have different rules for allowing Lasombra into the Camarilla, and Prince Panhard does not require one Lasombra to destroy another before embracing a childe. So why did Julia's sire execute another Lasombra before embracing her? Yes, Caren was from Chicago, but the act happened in Panhard's domain and Julia stays here in NYC (at least at this point in the story).
Hmm, Lizzie's vision mentions a (sic) "kindred under the water". Given the ending of LA By Night, could it be referring to X? Or am I going too far down the rabbit hole?
i find it ironic that the Nosferatu, Coco made the most political and group impact where our Venture is the least "connected" for a change. Well one has to be trust trustworthy and caring or straight to some to be trusted.
1:18:34 Rafferty: "Remember: The real first tradition is..." Khalida: "Don't break the masquerade." Rafferty: "Don't get caught." I would love to know if this was intentional or a little "fuck up" by Khalida XD
If the cam doesn't have higher organizational structure then what about Archons, Justicars, the Inner Council? I mean wasn't Hardestat quite high up in the Cam? A Prince can mostly run their city how they want but there are people even a Prince answers to if it gets bad enough right?
The Second Inquisition destroyed a lot of The Inner Council and the higher cam positions. But it still exists, hidden because most survivors remember the first Inquisition. As for Hardestadt, he was put to the Final Death by Theo Bell at the Convention of Prague, the event that followed with the Exodus of Clan Brujah.
@@whollyhandgrenade13 It's implied that the Hardestadt's tend to hypnotize their childer into replicas in Beckett's Jyhad Diary. If what you say is true, I'll wager a pretty penny that Jan Pieterzoon took up his sire's mantle, and very possibly used Theo to do it on his terms.
@@jacobmoorman6323 Yes but my point is such positions still exist, there are others in such levels of power. The Cam definitely does have higher levels of organization. Maybe not quite so much now though since the Beckoning and all.
The Camarilla has always been loosely governed. A lot of discretions given to princes. The inner council ruled through influence far more than direct command. The justicars would only overrule a prince if said prince was flagrantly violating the traditions or they were suspected of being a traitor. And theres no grantee a Justicar could stop a rogue prince. There have been cases of iron fisted princes that have kicked a justiciar out of their domain. Might often makes right in the Cam.
@@cccgq There was a hint of this before but it sounded like a stretch. And while I'm not 100% sold on the idea and wonder whether it is even a good thing for this campaign I feel this one is at least a little more solid.
@@NorthForkFisherman Oh my god that thing is ruining **everything**. This is gonna be the worst year or two for content in history, and all because some billionaires can't be bothered to pay the people making them billions a reasonable wage.
So I'm a little behind on these, but after this episode I have to weigh in on my thoughts. First off, all these characters are great! I'm so invested in each of thier stories, and the backstabbing that's going on is perfect. Coco reminds me of an espionage style story, only set in the world of supernatural monsters. Braun is my dude, I didn't really like X but he's killing it as Braun!!! Plus Glassjaw is probably the best Sire out of the lot so far. Kahlida is the opitome of a Venture, sly, double crossing and power hungry. Plus when she said "Daddy you didn't tell me I have a sister," I was oh man!!! Raphity better watch himself because that girl is poison to coin the phrase. Kiem (sorry if I've spelled any of these names wrong) is the absolute goat! At first I found her sort of bland and typical of a Toredor without all the flair, but oh my goodness!! After this episode I think she's the most dangerous one outta all of them, she's completely unhinged and it's awesome!!! This is definitely better than NY by Night Season 1, and I can't wait to see all this finally converge. Just promise me you won't do something lame.
@@JnEricsonx but is he aware?? he said "your voice" and glassjaw says "not me" and brawn completly belives him. Unless the voice of the beast is not of the sire, who originally has bitten the vampyre, then i been living a lie
@@redscul129 I think Glassjaw is more saying it as "I'm not the one saying it myself", and Brawn's Beast just happens to sound like Glassjaw. We're trying to figure out psychological issues for supernatural beings.
@@JnEricsonx well the voice makes it pretty obvious who is the one that is his sire, the question is, why glassjaw is not telling him directly how the beast works?? obviously brawn is too new in the vamp life

With, Lasombra it’s about what you can endure. Generally, they destroy your life and see if you can survive it.
The more we get into season 2, the more I'm betting on season 4 or 5 being the big coterie swapfest
Jason Carl is a sex symbol dont at me
!
*HA*
Julia, that *Julia* ? Clinging to her past? Not on my gameplay. Queen Julia #1
tbf up until the last act of the game Julia is quite attached to her past because of Dakota, its only by embracing what she is at the very end that she decides to cut off that attachment to her past.
Was anyone else flailing during the discussion about Fuego between Khalida and Rafferty? I know I couldnt be the only one.
I don't know. For me it was somewhat anticlimactic. But that's mostly because those "revelations" were just explicitly standing things I already thought might be true.
Aabria certainly was - it was great to have her in the chat for that.
Khalida is terrifying! I love it!
This is always awesome! Happy Halloween all
Excellent episode.
Guard your heart
Theory time.
Awesome episode!! I'm really enjoying the entire NY by Night. Can't wait for what's next =]
Tbh, liking NY by Night way more than LA by Night, simply because there are no _"goody two-shoes"_ Vampires here - just monster.
Thanks for the video, Happy Halloween.
Hmm, Lizzie's vision mentions a (sic) "kindred under the water". Given the ending of LA By Night, could it be referring to X? Or am I going too far down the rabbit hole?
It seems like a coincidence. She also described the man as 'A handsome man with dark hair and a cruel mouth.' which is not very X-like.
Happy Halloween from Norway 🎃
Been waiting a week, this is lit 🩸
I feel so bad for Brawn
Is this the point where Coco, Khalida and Brawn realize "holy shit!" About Kiem if they saw this?
I like Jason Carl.
For me Kiem is definitely more like a Malkavian than Toreador, but that's cool : 3
Very much toreador antitribu.
I mean she is very toreador, derangements and temper are not exclusive to malks and Brujah
Brawn's in love!!!!
i find it ironic that the Nosferatu, Coco made the most political and group impact where our Venture is the least "connected" for a change. Well one has to be trust trustworthy and caring or straight to some to be trusted.
1:18:34
Rafferty: "Remember: The real first tradition is..."
Khalida: "Don't break the masquerade."
Rafferty: "Don't get caught."
I would love to know if this was intentional or a little "fuck up" by Khalida XD
What's the music playing at 56:20?
Finally caught up with the World of Darkness. Watched all of season 1 and 2 now, can't wait for more.
I wonder what Jason Carl's peferred blood resonance is
Cannot wait for next episode!!
Is the 3rd season gonna be a Sabbat season?
Oh yes please
Third season is the two coteries together.
@@Ninnisha joining to bring back the Sabbat, right?
@@InvasorJim101 that would be fun
@@jacobmoorman6323 Hardestadt was allegedly killed. Theo Bell has doubts as to if he ever pulled it off.
1:11:44 literally everyone else :DDDDDDD
You can't just end the episode like that. Neeeeddd morreeee
Happy Halloween
Eat the pumpink but dont swallow the seeds or plants will ripe from your stomach
Looks like X gon get Delivered
Certainly sounds like a possibility. I wonder if somebody will "fix" him and we'll see what he was before Therese got her hooks into him.
I’m not sure it’s X
@@cccgq There was a hint of this before but it sounded like a stretch.
And while I'm not 100% sold on the idea and wonder whether it is even a good thing for this campaign I feel this one is at least a little more solid.
Is NY by night canceled or something?
Being almost 10 month since any update..
At the moment, there is a strike in progress. That probably has an impact.
@@NorthForkFisherman Oh my god that thing is ruining **everything**. This is gonna be the worst year or two for content in history, and all because some billionaires can't be bothered to pay the people making them billions a reasonable wage.

Kiem is nuts
Fucking hit-girl. Now a living-dead hitgirl.
Oh lord i was right she was a killer 😐 i 👍 of this.

possible SPOILER?
A Tory with Potence? *interested eyebrows*
She has been demonstrated and said that she is Alleycat predator type, which gives a dot in potence
Just promise me you won't do something lame.
does brown knows who his sire is??
Brawn? Yeah, Glassjaw, the guy he was talking with.
@@JnEricsonx well the voice makes it pretty obvious who is the one that is his sire, the question is, why glassjaw is not telling him directly how the beast works?? obviously brawn is too new in the vamp life
@@redscul129 Maybe no one told Glassjaw that? I dunno, honestly. Or maybe it's weird that the voice is that of his sire? Vs everyone else? Im guessing.
The woman playing Kiem is a horrible actress, sorry 😛
No, she is really good, especially because she makes Kiem so…. Aggravating/hateable
@@nateperkins9860 No - I'm talking about the ACTRESS. Her delivery is atrocious. Especially when she is trying to be dramatic. WAAAAAAAAY overdone and the clipped way in which she talks in those situations is the culprit
@@cedriccrawford4231 but that is an intentional character thing, Kiem is overkill and unhinged so she brings those things into the performance.
@@nateperkins9860 Well if that was intentional, it's still bad imo. Let's just say I don't like her brand of "unhinged"
@@cedriccrawford4231 that’s fine, I am not a massive fan of Kiem either personally but that doesn’t mean the performance is bad, it means it’s that good!!
