Well if you are looking for some more VTM content and you want to stick in New York then I would highly recommend Vampires of New York (I think that’s what it’s called). It is run by Mr B. Dave Walters and has a variety of entertaining cast members and clans. If there are any moments I missed please let me know, have a good night.
Hilarious how the Camarilla dispatched these guys to address a potential Masquerade breach because some art makes people really like it, and they cause a massive scene that draws cops and emergency responders and lets mortals see Kindred fighting, and they get filmed... it either speaks to the inherent hypocrisy of the Camarilla or the complete ineptitude of the coterie. Not saying that's a bad thing from a show perspective, a brand-new coterie f-ing things up is pretty par for the course.
@@hankhenry2555 Seems like it. It's incredible how a character can be built with Int as a dump stat and be THIS insanely joyful to be played be a very smart player. I love this so much!
I know Lizzie is a Kindred and a Malkavian, but the artistic talent, goth girl appearance and especially the whisper is giving me serious Sluagh vibes.
Me through a large chunk of this episode: alternating between "Don't kill Serif's mom!" and "Don't hurt Lizzie!" XD It's a testimony to how good a ST Jason is that he can make us this attached to his NPCs.
I absolutely love that our Anarchs did a collection run and our Camerilla vampires almost started a war on two fronts for their first assignment. It's been a riveting watch!
"That´s arrogant." "I *know*."It is wonderful how Noura Ibrahim absolutely delivers a peak Camarilla Ventrue perfomance with just one line. Everyone was great in this. The tough as nails Lasombra really suits Cynthia Marie, Xander Jeanneret rocks the Nosferatu brawler (just waiting for the "Ey, I´m walkin ere!") and Michelle Nguyen Bradley´s Kiếm is a pleasantly creepy Toreador. And, of course, Jason Carl is always a delightful storyteller (Lizzie was especially interesting today). I am really looking forward to the next episode and more sinister Camarilla Coterie shenanigans.
Part of me loves this, seeing another young coterie on the cam side. The other part misses Issac and wish I could see his reaction to how these guys executed their tasks compared to his own coterie
@@verynormalhumans4420 Rey unfortunately rolls like shit so he might find the true death, unless he can get those dice pool stats up if he has to toe to toe with this Campaigns' Nosferatu hahaha *Sorry Rey, I love you I promise!!!
@@verynormalhumans4420 I think there is a chance it could still happen, Brawn could end up in the Anarch after what happened at the end of the Cam Coterie's season
Khalida is sooo good at being the right amount of alluring and powerful. Hard to pick between her and Coco. I liked Coco's calculated approach. And the Spanish.
Actually, I would say 50/50 with CoCo. The fire alarm, grabbing a piece of the painting, they are BOTH the brains. With... well... okay, Brawn is a different breed of perfect Nossie. xD And Kiếm... she's more spoopy than artsy-fartsy in-your-face-arrogant, which I like. She accepts Brawn better than 90% of her Clan usually do?
I know Cynthia said in the after show that she's a dancer not an actress and emotes physically. I've noticed it more since and I love it with Coco. It's really adding so much to the character.
OK, as promised the NY By Night Season 2/Cammy drinking game... Take a drink when 1) Brawn man-spreads 2) Mortals are Dominated 3) Awe is activated 4) "It's pedantic" 5) Jason mentions cake 6) Jason makes a note 7) Brawn spars verbally or physically 8) Techo NoNo 9) "Multiple things happen at once" 10) Brawn fails a rouse check How's the liver by this point? Do we need more reasons to take a drink yet? 🤣
Lasombra sire who speaks spanish? Perhaps actually directly from Spain? If so Coco is probably the most interesting background wise. Still a shame about the rework of the clan curse of Lasombra. The blurry but still there picture just doesn't give the same "ooo" factor as non at all. Yes, I know. Not ever being seen by cameras is rather beneficial for a curse even if you have to have a ghoul as a phone holder. So I do understand the change from a gameplay balance perspective.
I was rooting for my boy AirBox the entire time even though i do like Brawn. :) also Argus for the brief moment he was played was awesome. Great episode!
Super intrigued by Argus. A surviving Ravnos with a storied history, powerful, and known to major players in New York like Rafferty and Isaac's sire (whose name escapes me). He also seems to have genuine affection for Angela despite the way Serif talks about him.
@@TheRedname I can't remember Serif's mom's real name, but I know a different name was used in season 1. Angela was the driver. Argus also seems to have a few people gunning for him too. Isaac's sire wasn't a fan, and Rafferty doesn't sound pleased to have him near either
I like the black Toreador Kiem. There is a Sadistic feel to her. She is a Presents of interesting darkness. The Tzimisce could have a devotee for body molding. With Love B.D.H
Wow! Love how the Ventrue is really playing into type, taking the lead as well as the Ventrue of the Anarch Courts but in diff ways very fascinating and LOVE the Lasombra’s integration of shadows and characteristics while still maintaining a unique personality. It’s also interesting seeing the Nosferatu’s BA versus the Gangrel in last season how they’re both atypical yet still manage translate their clan’s flaws and personas. As a big Anarch fan who plays Camirilla games it’s fascinating seeing By Night’s Camirilla faction’s dynamics and their perspective on their court and rules, great job! 👏
For real now, since L.A. by Night S01E01, Jason has blown my mind over and over again, the tone he sets for his chronicles are exactly what I have imagined, when I first read the book. It´s neutral, to the point that it is terrifying... it´s players vs the world... but he never really take sides... like he manages to insert events that are inherently attached to one or more players background or characteristics, but he never tries to persuade you on choosing one option or another (and another) (and another one =))... the NPCs are probably my favorite! He kinda stereotypes them, exactly what I imagine people would be in a world where vamps dictate laws and the course of mankind for all eternity, I mean, it creates the perfect social environment for the masquerade... People are in desire to belong, and they find confort in it, so if you dress a certain way, or practice X activity, or work in the Y bussiness, you feel that you belong, your life is one worth living, ok, but monsters hide in these social constructs... they in fact, hide everywhere... you never feel safe, it´s the neutrality of the world that does not care about you, it´s like a tiny sensation that everything and everyone are becoming more and more depraved, devoid of virtue, but slowly... over millenia and millenia again... until there is nothingness... like the abysm itself or (SPOILER ALERT) ... THE Wyrm itself...
I'm always amused when the characters turn everything into a messy fight. In my campaign, this sort of high jinks is reserved for the ghoul characters while the vamps can be smooth operators (like Khalida!) BTW: Would love to see an all ghoul chronicle from Jason at some point. Those are the best stories.
A lil funny how the guy from the cam says "none of our stuff over the phones", then not so long afterwards their stuff goes over the phones. Also how the hell does the reinforcement of the masquerade apply as a rule to outsiders but the supposed safety of the Camarilla doesn't?
I love how the try to talk and decide roles but never get really into it and then chaos spread on the adventures. Also I would follow Coco's lead anywhere no problem, since I'm a bit bad with technology, but not at that level haha. Also respect to legend Jason Carl, great Spanish pronunciation.
1:48:47 "The Weird Sisters, hand in hand, posters of the sea and land, thus do go, about, about: thrice to thine and thrice to mine and thrice again, to make up nine. Peace! The charm's wound up." _Macbeth,_ Act 1, Scene III.
Oh they forgot to relay the big guys hint about meeting in "The Pit." Sounds like the name of an underground fighting arena to me. Okay commented too soon. They still didn't tell him about it but they did learn what it was.
On the rewatch, I'm very curious how they're going to resolve the fact that Serif's mom's name went from Alisha/Alicia in season 1 to Angela in season 2 haha, given that she now shares a name with Isaac's ghoul.
Actually based on Jason responding my observation on the issue in the twitch chat Khalida is probably the favorite since she's the 'official' progeny and the one he kept with him in the Camarilla. Fuego almost 100% is an illegal embrace that he then dumped in Anarch territory.
Margo was dumped in the Bronx, potentially to act as sleeper but more likely just to shit-stir. Khalida is living the high life at Rafferty's right hand. I suspect at the moment that Khalida is higher in the hierarchy. Of course, that can and will probably change depending on how things go with the Crescent.
Sooo the whole crux of this chronicle is gonna be centered around the high-rise in the Bronx? I love it. So down to earth, so gritty and street level. A great contrast to the high and mighty sect politics that VtM often kndulges in
Sooo.. Jason called Argos' ghoul, who is Serif's mother, "Angela" in this episode, around 20 minutes in. In season 1, Serif's mother was identified as "Alicia" and "Angela" was one of Isaac's ghouls...
So this decision making process of what they were supposed to be doing reminds me of the tell a tale game. First person starts a story and the people in like are supposed to repeat it. However, as the story gets to the end of the line, it is change. The longer the line, the more the change. In this case, they all think they were doing what they were supposed to be doing and it had some 'bad' affects. :)
Can someone explain what the icons next to the players mean? i know they are clan symbols but not what they are and what the difference is between them
To expand Ventrue are the Camarilla clan of kings and capitalists, like Victor Temple in LA Lasombra are a Sabbat clan which just joined the Camarilla by betraying the rest of the Sabbat, they're a clan of Shadow magic users who historically owned the church Nosferatu are a clan focused group of invisible and shapeshifters who are often spies, like Jasper in LA Toreador are a Camarilla clan who are swift, deadly and beautiful artists, like Nelly in LA
Khalida's is a sword an sceptor to symbolize Ventrue as leadership's but also for their might, startegic mind and skill in fortitude Coco's is a crown which I believe symbolizes the lasombra clan's ambition and enjoyment of personal power Brawns/the nosferatu is a Greek tragedian mask Kiem/Toreador clan symbol is a rose, beautiful with thorns
Thus far they've never done a bait and switch like that, but it would be awesome. She is certainly an atypical Toreador. One thing I really love though, in general, about this plus LA is that they don't feel the need to perfrectly confirm to all the stereotypes of the clans. I think too often we're stuck playing a pre-determined type, rather than interpreting it as broadly as there are people.
@@ace-of-teacups there is a lot of sabbat hinting in the anarch plotline. I would not be shocked if there were sabbat infiltrators in both coteries or characters that will go sabbat.
I could see vampires making the vtm games to keep mortals out of there business and so humans could play the 13 clans to teach them until the humans they want to turn are ready
He literally let them away without consequences. They walked out with a kindred while her guard should have been out front after being kicked through the window , but they all walked to the car without him doing a thing he was clearly forgotten. Not to mention them completely breaking the Masquerade. Im sure people in new york would have recorded them all exiting and entering the car . Not to mention what about the guy who got thrown through the window??? So many things forgotten.
@@naqzlord1156 then again with Jason.....I tend to think he never forgets anything he simply put a pin in it and will bring it back at a later time....
So... Khalida = Face Kiem = Murdoch Brawn = BA Coco = ??? Hm... she did make sure to get the painting piece which turned a shitty situation made by Murdoch as usual from an A to a C back to a B... yeah so... Coco = Hannibal, a good plan came together.
Since Xander is already playing a different character and X is in torpor in the ocean on the opposite side of the continent, the chances they're talking about him is nearly zero. This is clearly dealing with the sunken ship that the Anarch coterie is dealing with.
Did anyone else notice Cynthia Marie when speaking to Lizzie near the end of the episode notice when she said. "Cause aren't your kind always bull shitters." Was that a oops player knowledge versus character knowledge moment? It happens and when I saw it I chuckled, so many of my players have done that before too so its 100% understandable haha, loved the episode regardless and Cynthia Marie regardless does a excellent job as a Lamsombra.

Thank you very much, that is very kind. :)
@@JasonCarl You rock dude, for real!!
the faces that everyone made at 29:15 when cynthia marie says "im gonna shoot her tires" are all excellent
Lizzie is my favorite npc to see come back and she has so many cool dynamics with other characters
This coterie is really coming together. Great episode 👏
As a fellow magpie, I am obsessed with Kiem's thing with the hair
Khalida: What did we said about violence as a last resort?
Kiěm: 5, 6, 7, 8 :D
That was gold HAHAHAHA
Tell me it's not just me, and that Xander is channeling a LOT of DeNiro energy as he plays Brawn.
There’s gotta be a meme about Coco angrily mishandling phones somewhere on the internet.
I'm sorry, but Cocos sad can't-use-phones moment was just funny to me 😅
Great episode 👍
A lil funny how the guy from the cam says "none of our stuff over the phones", then not so long afterwards their stuff goes over the phones.
Also how the hell does the reinforcement of the masquerade apply as a rule to outsiders but the supposed safety of the Camarilla doesn't?
I love how the try to talk and decide roles but never get really into it and then chaos spread on the adventures. Also I would follow Coco's lead anywhere no problem, since I'm a bit bad with technology, but not at that level haha.
Also respect to legend Jason Carl, great Spanish pronunciation.
this episode REALLY illustrates why I hate the Camarilla as an institution
All the connections to season one! I CAN NOT WAIT for season three!
ive never seen or played before. I like the story play. Very nice
Thank you very much and welcome to the Vamily! :)
5678, now we must evacuate!
great, GREAT ep. Coco is maybe my fave but Khalida is great too. Nora has come on so much since her initial flourish in LA by night.
Ooh, this coterie is growing on me.
1:48:47 "The Weird Sisters, hand in hand, posters of the sea and land, thus do go, about, about: thrice to thine and thrice to mine and thrice again, to make up nine. Peace! The charm's wound up." _Macbeth,_ Act 1, Scene III.
This episode was so good!!! With everything that happened I feel like there’s gonna be a lot of conflict next episode. Also Lizzie is best girl
Oh they forgot to relay the big guys hint about meeting in "The Pit." Sounds like the name of an underground fighting arena to me. Okay commented too soon. They still didn't tell him about it but they did learn what it was.
45:20 - 🗑🔥......🙄....... "We have a hostage."
45:33 - ☹❓
.....I died laughing.
On the rewatch, I'm very curious how they're going to resolve the fact that Serif's mom's name went from Alisha/Alicia in season 1 to Angela in season 2 haha, given that she now shares a name with Isaac's ghoul.
Oh LOL I was confused because he said Angela
Those locks.of Lizzie's hair shall be placed in imperishable crystal, as a symbol of the "friendship" between Manhattan and The Bronx.....😉
"A beautiful catastrophe" is right.
Enjoying this season so far!
I’m enjoying this season. I’ve bought the books and I consider this an excellent tutorial and inspiration for running my own game in this world.
Why do I get a feeling Margo is the favorite child. Seeing how her and khalida are sisters. 😂
32:12 *100% LASOMBRA MOMENT*
Richter? Damn near killed 'er.
Sooo the whole crux of this chronicle is gonna be centered around the high-rise in the Bronx? I love it. So down to earth, so gritty and street level. A great contrast to the high and mighty sect politics that VtM often kndulges in
the interaction between the 2 coteries will be interesting
veeeeeeeeeeery nice finale with the malk's sight very cool
Sooo.. Jason called Argos' ghoul, who is Serif's mother, "Angela" in this episode, around 20 minutes in. In season 1, Serif's mother was identified as "Alicia" and "Angela" was one of Isaac's ghouls...
the utter chaos
So this decision making process of what they were supposed to be doing reminds me of the tell a tale game. First person starts a story and the people in like are supposed to repeat it. However, as the story gets to the end of the line, it is change. The longer the line, the more the change. In this case, they all think they were doing what they were supposed to be doing and it had some 'bad' affects. :)
This cast is wonderful
1:02:21 Awwwww... Brawn... it's okay... You're beautiful!
Jason doing Brawn's Beast! Legend.
Rictus of Hate, new band name
Brawn with the VEET
Put the micro closer. Need to up the volume to MAX to hear you ..
I gotta say the intro and music are on point!
Xander did a great job with Brawn.
A great insult that Brawn could throw at a kindred call 'Air Box' is to call him 'Fart Box' lol
Can someone explain what the icons next to the players mean? i know they are clan symbols but not what they are and what the difference is between them
Khalida: Ventrue, Coco: Lasombra, Brawn: Nosferatu, Kiem: Toreador
We have a handy infographic for the clans that I think might help! :) bit.ly/30FtQPX
🦇
To expand
Ventrue are the Camarilla clan of kings and capitalists, like Victor Temple in LA
Lasombra are a Sabbat clan which just joined the Camarilla by betraying the rest of the Sabbat, they're a clan of Shadow magic users who historically owned the church
Nosferatu are a clan focused group of invisible and shapeshifters who are often spies, like Jasper in LA
Toreador are a Camarilla clan who are swift, deadly and beautiful artists, like Nelly in LA
@@Crushanator1 ty for taking the time to explain
Khalida's is a sword an sceptor to symbolize Ventrue as leadership's but also for their might, startegic mind and skill in fortitude
Coco's is a crown which I believe symbolizes the lasombra clan's ambition and enjoyment of personal power
Brawns/the nosferatu is a Greek tragedian mask
Kiem/Toreador clan symbol is a rose, beautiful with thorns
Hey! I play VTM, do you think you guys could do a video on running VTM combat? Its a little bit hard
Question. How do Lasombra apply makeup if they can't look in the mirror?
In Coco's case - a personal assistant. Otherwise they better hope they have great muscle memory from when they were mortal.
When they were Sabbat maybe they got Tzimisce to visituide it
Omg loved this episode all of the players rocked.
I really wanna see the two coteries meet
Feel bad for Boxxy boy, he got 1 push off then was hyper combo finished. They seriously got like 5 actions =X.
Man Brawn is pretty badass. I think he'd easily beat up Rey and maybe even Jasper/Annabelle.
Considering how consistently terrible Ray’s rolls are, he doesn’t stand a chance
Is Kiem actually a Toreador? She acts like she could be a Banu Haqim.
She reminds me of the Sabbat Toreador.
@@ace-of-teacups there is a lot of sabbat hinting in the anarch plotline. I would not be shocked if there were sabbat infiltrators in both coteries or characters that will go sabbat.
below the sun
below hope !!!!!!!!!!!!
I could see vampires making the vtm games to keep mortals out of there business and so humans could play the 13 clans to teach them until the humans they want to turn are ready
While not quite that, look up the Werewolf: The Apocalypse antagonists "Black Dog Game Factory". 😁
Coco Makin my heart bleed
Jason is being very nice since he could kill all of them 😆
He literally let them away without consequences.
I think the new lasombra flaw is kinda dumb but that's just me. WHY was it changed to that anyway?
Because when things don't change and evolve, they get boring.
This cam seems to be fairly progressive. Funny thing, brawn was the only one to take Lizzie seriously and seems to respect her at some point
I simp for Cynthia Marie.
as you should XD
@@marcoboscarol2420 You are clearly someone of superior taste. Congrats.
Lizzie is like seeing the beast or something
Yev backed up shrecknet
Mark my words (please and thank you 😘)
So...
Khalida = Face
Kiem = Murdoch
Brawn = BA
Coco = ???
Hm... she did make sure to get the painting piece which turned a shitty situation made by Murdoch as usual from an A to a C back to a B... yeah so...
Coco = Hannibal, a good plan came together.
Brawn sounds like Fredo, Brennan’s Candy Plumber.
Is good
khalia is awesome, also, very fucking scary 😂
kinda like Kiem
"I believe you have a specialty"
Don't believe so man, that's not Ib. lol
🔥🔥
Lizzie is the best!
49:11-I fucking laughed.
So umm are going to talk about the underwater Kindred who can't speak....and how that must be X.
Since Xander is already playing a different character and X is in torpor in the ocean on the opposite side of the continent, the chances they're talking about him is nearly zero. This is clearly dealing with the sunken ship that the Anarch coterie is dealing with.
I like Kiem best of all, psycho-killing Rosebud.
She's been Kindred for 3 years, it's not unbelievable that she's met other Malkavians during that time.
@@margisama That could be true maybe, it was a in character realization.
I just assumed her sire told her about the other clans that she might encounter as a member of the cam
I just assumed she meant people who claim to be fortune tellers or have visions are bullshitters, not necessarily any specific game knowledge.
@@strifenineteen I'd assume so, given she called up presumably her sire to ask about a clan power that he hadn't told her of before.
Jason you really need to speak up when speaking as Lizzy. Its really hard to hear what your saying.
I'm sorry about that! The season is pre-recorded so I can't change how I do her voice now. I didn't realize it would be so low.
@@JasonCarl she's a cool.character th whispery voice is just tricky sometimes
So is Coco still being driven by her Clan Compulsion, due to her bestial failure last episode?
