This part of the game always makes me cry, even after playing it countless times. The Mystery Dungeon series is a gem, and I'm glad you're spreading the love.
So you know what's a bit after this song in the game... I want that tearjerker "I don't wanna say goddbye". I'm ready for the jazzy licks and the tears!

B M I'm not saying this is bad at all, it's amazing, but I personally prefer the version by Own Eye Music. It's in a different style than this so you can't really compare the two, but it's the one which I like the most.
I read one of the best books I've ever read. And then I saw the notification and I instantly watched the video, even though the book was so exciting at the moment. Thank you for your great music.
This jazz arrangement of Temporal Tower is really, extraordinarily fascinating!!! Thank you for creating this! Compare to other people's covers, I think the texture of saxophone perfectly restores the vastness. To me, this 6-minute-long arrangement really unfolds a story as if it was opening a scroll. 1:31 Love the alternation between the saxophone and the keyboard! 2:06 The continuing elevation of the track composed by the keyboard adds a sense of challenging the legends! It is beautiful! 2:37 The insertion of Sky Tower flows so naturally, creates a sense of history! 3:06 I could almost hum out the latter part! 3:12 I imagined the conflicts between main characters and enemies appeared. 4:04 The sudden calm! This must be the half way point of the tower! 4:24 I visualized this part as a conversation between the main character and the partner. It is like one of them gets discouraged somehow and the other one cheered him/her up. 4:59 Following that the problems encountered were solved, two of them got on with climbing the collapsing Temporal Tower. These two parts amazed me! 5:18 The flawlessness of the collaboration between the two main characters.
I love this comment! It's so cool that you were able to visualize this story alongside my arrangement! I followed along with the timestamp annotations you provided and wholeheartedly agree with this :)
I know that Monster Houses tend to destroy people's teams, however from my experience playing and getting killed by traps, starting out as level 1 or just loosing your items causes death much more frequently. Enough chatter! This song was epic!!! Thank you so much for doing it :)
madison brown ohh if its related to this game then I've probably forgotten that line (forgive my sinnnn) it's been almost 10 years since I played this game. wow, I feel old now ;; - ;;
Without a doubt the best mystery dungeon game and probably one of my favorite dungeons despite the porygons. but will we be seeing the final boss in the future ;)
Thank you so much for doing this... PMD2 is still one of my favorite games ever and the powerful emotion it gave me is something that I'll never forget. Along the story & characters, its OST moved me a whole lot too, it's one of my favorite OSTs ever, and it's so wonderful to get a new arrangement/cover of all those emotional melodies from you
There I was, minding my own business, watching Stephen & Friends 1kBWC (the episode "Power Play"), and suddenly I have to do a double take as I become aware of and have to confirm hearing Temporal Tower start to play in the background, upon which I realize it's jazz Temporal Tower. And now here I am, confirming my suspicion that only one person could be responsible for such majesty. Have my thumb, in the upward direction. Explorers was fantastic. First game to move me to tears, I'm fairly certain. I think it's Time for another playthrough. (Of Sky.)
Afterthought: The worst and best part about this song is that you don't get to hear it after getting your butts decimated by Dialga repeatedly. This is one of my favorite dungeon themes in the game, but at the same time, having to reclimb 23 floors every time Dialga decides to use Roar of Time and OHKOs your partner would be a little excessive. Luckily, Temporal Spire is also a great song. Makes up for never being able to save enough Reviver Seeds through the whole tower, thanks to "It's a monster house!" "Porygon Z used Agility!" "Porygon Z used Agility!" "Porygon Z used Discharge!" "Metagross used Earthquake!" repeat ad nauseum.
I didnt even aknowledge the existance of this theme and it just made it to top 1 of your arrangements...And i was the dumb one thinking that uploading once per two weeks wouldn't make such a difference...Thank you for this gift...My day couldn't be going any better!☺☺☺
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to read all the comments that are noticing that my music is improving with the once every other week upload schedule! So glad you liked it.
One of the best tunes in the game, but blimey was this a hard level! Especially if your a water or fire type. Discharge and Earthquake become so dangerous all of a sudden. Monster houses appear literally every other floor if your really unlucky (hope to everything that you have a multi-target hitting move). And I love that after you reach the midpoint of the dungeon and you go into the higher floors, it's still the same music, but is so much quieter and slower, really hyping you up for the final fight at the end. Amazing cover as always!
Dialga's theme (and by extent this theme) fueled my interest in video-game music. Later Friends of mine got me into jazz and now this amazing guy has made this masterpiece! Things have come full circle. Life is good
I've waited so long to see a PMD2 jazz arrangement from you! That game has been my favorite for almost a decade. This is a dream come true--- I clicked this as soon as I saw it! I had a huge smile on my face for the whole song. I don't know why, but your music always makes me happy. I turn to it when I'm feeling down, needing to focus, or just wanting to unwind. Keep up the wonderful work!

This whole segment is moist as frick! Post-listening: Words fail me. You're too strong. Your jazz is mighty. 7.8/10 too much time fuckery
You literally made me go out and buy this game today at GameStop from how good this is😂 There's so much greatness in this cover, but probably my favorite thing is how you just take a couple licks on the piano and Sax and take them in so many different awesome directions! Another amazing video, can't wait for the next one Carlos!👍
Explorers of Sky is probably my favourite PMD game (PMD Team Blue being the first Nintendo game I _ever_ played), and its last special episode made it just that much better. Thank you a lot for this arrangement.
I'm not that sure if jazz and Temporal Tower's Theme are matching to each other. I'd say this should be performed by a symphonic orchestra in form of a symphonic suite to unleash it's full power or alternatively by the Procyon DSE driver using the original samples from the game. I'm saying this because I'm really missing the strings and the choir from the original. But I've still to acknowledge that this is a good arrangement. Well done! :-D
ベンゲルトム Fair opinion! I'd love to hear the song done that way too! I'm not saying at all that my rendition is the best rendition of this song out there; rather, it's the best rendition I can possibly make given my skillset! Thanks for watching!
There's an orchestrated version by Own Eye Music (well, OERemix now, since the old channel got messed up) which might have the kind of style you're looking for. Though personally I think this cover is great too, in a different way.
Hurricane Muffins Just remembered Own Eye Music when talking about an orchestrated version. Glad you mentioned it. If anyone was wondering where to find many orchestrated versions of PMD songs, head over to the channel we're talking about. It used to be called "Own Eye Music", but it has since been renamed to "ORCHESTRATED OEREMIX"
You know how some video game music covers/remixes give you this chilling sensation of nostalgia of a game you've played before? This cover gave me that feeling, but of a game that I haven't played before. Well freaking done, man! I love this!
currently sat in the library listening to this song for like the thousandth time n the drop at 5:18 still has me grooving in my seat! Awesome as always Carlos
Hey man! I am an 8th grade bari sax player, and I'm always really inspired by your pieces. I only play alto and bari right now, but you are tempting me to pick up tenor as well... How long have you been playing sax? Your tone is amazing! I hope someday I can become good enough to start releasing covers similar to yours on UA-cam. Won't ever be as good as yours though :)
Hey man! I played bari sax in the 8th grade, those were great times :) I didn't start playing tenor until high school, so you wouldn't be too far behind / ahead of me if you started soon. I've been playing sax for a total of about 8 years, now. I started on alto for a year, then played bari for 3, then tenor for the remaining years!
OH MY GOD YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS GAME! PMD 2 is my favorite game of all time and I NEVER would have that you would do a song from this game. Thanks so much and I loved this video!
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time is the only game that has ever made me cry. This cover reminds me of when I was playing through it. Keep up the good work!
Waiting 2 weeks for these is so worth it. Since you've started your bi-weekly schedule the new covers you've made have easily been my among my favorites. I'm no music guru so I don't know if it's because these newer covers are just musically better than some of the older covers you've done, but I do know that I have enjoyed your more recent covers significantly more than some of the old ones. Not to say that I didn't like your old ones; when I listened to some of your older covers I said to myself "nothing can top this", and now I am finding these newer covers to be so much more enjoyable. Excellent work! You're a musical inspiration for me.
This is by far in my top 5 songs, I love the remembrance this gives me of my playthtough and how much i cried, both of sad and joy, as well as the inclusion of symphonic instruments to give it that feel of the final destination: temporal tower
You were serious about what you said in your talking video from weeks ago!!.. I can feel the love you put in this arrangement!! Outstanding work mr insane!!
This song brings me back so many memories. I have to be honest- mystery dungeon was the first time I found out that video games have so much potential in them to tell a compelling story
This song from the game made that trek up to Primal Dialga so amazing. You totally timed this video perfect, as I am fresh off watching La La Land and into a ton of Jazz music alongside my own playing. This was perfect.
I think the first half really grasps the feeling of the song, after which the more swinging and funky part is dope in it's own way. One of my instant favourites.
This area was hell when I was younger but I replayed it not long ago and found it rather easy. I must have been really dumb back then. Great cover as always, nostalgia is strong here!
Well, that's a fantastic way to start my day. Temporal Tower and Jazz go surprisingly well together, and it's also one of my favorite tracks to add to the cake. Amazing cover as usual, good sir.
I was working on some 3D projects when this song came on, and in the back of my head I recognized it. I never knew you did a PMD remix! One of my top ten favorite OSTs.
Explorers of Sky is my favorite game of all time, and I am so glad that you uploaded this video, it is an amazing cover of an already amazing song. 10/10
You beautiful man. This is by far one of my favorite songs of the mystery dungeon games. It felt so epic, letting on the feeling that this was it. The final struggle.
I found your music after looking for a saxophone cover of Ghost Fight from Undertale, and I have to say that to this day you have not ceased to amaze me with your music. This has given me so much nostalgia that I'm about to go get PMD right now and play it again. Good job mate!
Such a badass cover. I remember Primal Dialga being a pain in the ass to kill, and the journey to him being even tougher. Hearing this brings me back to that time, and that's a great feeling =)
Ask not for whom the bells toll. They toll for thee. Honestly loved this arrangement, though. Nice and commanding in terms of style. I couldn't get enough of the tone from that sax, dude. Awesome work as always.
aaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA! Holy crap man this is amazing! My favorite UA-cam musician uploads a jazz arrangement an already amazing song in my favorite game, and it just blows my mind how you found a way to make it better! That sliding synth part, the echoing glock, and all of the mind boggling magic you normally do with bass, piano, and sax, it was just beautiful! Amazing work as always!
Watching you perform this cover of one of the greatest songs in Pokémon ever at the conclusion of a grand adventure makes my life! PMD2 I think was the game that cemented my interest in Pokémon as a series and the music that went along with it. This piece and Dialga's theme being the magnum opus. I found Bronzongs to be equally challenging. Don't even get me started on soul crushing Monster Houses in there.
Thank you so so much man! Primal Dialga's theme is freakin good too. A Mystery Dungeon game is an odd game to cemented your interest in the Pokemon series since it's not of the main series games, but I see how it impacted you!
insaneintherainmusic It was my second or third game i had played in it at the time. Diamond was my first and while I enjoyed it, I think I just have a soft spot for this and the first two Ranger spin-offs.
Absolutely lovely! You really outdid yourself with this cover - it's my favourite one of yours yet! For my tastes it's got the perfect balance of staying true to the original while adding in that extra personality and flair.
This is absolutely beautiful. It has the feeling I know and love from the original piece with the soul and energy of jazz. It blends together so well and just shows how well the piece has been treated in this cover. I would say this is perfect, but I think even that undersells this cover
ahhh thank you so much for making this!! coupled with ghost trick, you're really giving amazing underrated soundtracks the love they deserve. your arrangements are lovely! :^) the pmd2 credits theme especially is So Good it will never not make me cry
Back when I fist started watching you I used to just put your music videos as a background while I'm studying Now I end up watching your videos from start to finish
Amazing job on this cover. I couldn't have asked for a better pick-me-up this morning. I'm gonna be whistling this all day. And screw those porygons. I can't find 100% solid evidence pointing to the composer(s) for this exact track, but it's a safe bet that Mr. Iiyoshi was the main hand if not the sole creator. He was the main composer for these games after all.
As soon as they invent the word that means "perfect doesn't even begin to describe this", let me know so I can truly express the magnificence of this cover
It's pretty awesome! I have been thinking about shifting to something else though; Keyscape by Spectrasonics is sounding really appealing, and there's also this Ravenscroft piano that sounds really nice. The tones you can get out of this piano are a bit limited, and there's not much control for mic placement. Also, you've gotta use an iLok which kinda sucks :/ Glad you enjoyed my arrangement!
Well that was perfect...

the most valid reason to run mudkip in PMD is to give the middle finger to discharge.

That's an interesting sensation! I wonder if there's any research of nostalgia behind things that we're not already familiar with. Glad you liked it!
VERY underrated game!
currently sat in the library listening to this song for like the thousandth time n the drop at 5:18 still has me grooving in my seat! Awesome as always Carlos
Quietly grooving in a library... that’s a good feeling :)
Articious Bari players unite! I play bari currently, and I'm planning on going into jazz with it. Should I switch back to alto or keep up bari?
OH MY GOD YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS GAME! PMD 2 is my favorite game of all time and I NEVER would have that you would do a song from this game. Thanks so much and I loved this video!
You should do the smash bros brawl theme
Honestly one of the best sounding Temporal Tower renditions on all of UA-cam. The spark of PMD has once again been lit, thanks to you.
Discord squad where you at?!
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time is the only game that has ever made me cry. This cover reminds me of when I was playing through it. Keep up the good work!
pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of sky remastered who is with me??!!
The pmd2 remastering project was finished if i'm not wrong
I think some of the track are private on youtube
Waiting on the Explorers DX announcement
Waiting 2 weeks for these is so worth it. Since you've started your bi-weekly schedule the new covers you've made have easily been my among my favorites. I'm no music guru so I don't know if it's because these newer covers are just musically better than some of the older covers you've done, but I do know that I have enjoyed your more recent covers significantly more than some of the old ones. Not to say that I didn't like your old ones; when I listened to some of your older covers I said to myself "nothing can top this", and now I am finding these newer covers to be so much more enjoyable. Excellent work! You're a musical inspiration for me.
Serious question, am I the only one confused by this game's poor reviews? Because when I first played this game I thought it was perfect.
+Bird Jesus I can understand it - it's not for everyone and the game does have it's flaws, but I'm glad we're the types that can enjoy it nontheless!
This is one of those songs you add to your best playlists after 5 seconds. Keep up the great work!
Glad you like it!!
This is by far in my top 5 songs, I love the remembrance this gives me of my playthtough and how much i cried, both of sad and joy, as well as the inclusion of symphonic instruments to give it that feel of the final destination: temporal tower
Thanks a bunch of listening to my version! Temporal Tower is such a special place in the game!
You were serious about what you said in your talking video from weeks ago!!.. I can feel the love you put in this arrangement!! Outstanding work mr insane!!
Of course! I act on my word, dude! Thanks so much :)
Yay! Glad you liked it and glad I had great timing!
HOLY CRAP! Thank you so much for making this! Hands down one of my favorite mystery dungeon tracks.
It's wonderful to see not everyone has forgotten about this gem of a game. This is amazing.
I think the first half really grasps the feeling of the song, after which the more swinging and funky part is dope in it's own way. One of my instant favourites.
Thanks for the analysis! :)
Absolutely beautiful! I remember this dungeon being a bit of a pain to get through, but the final fight plus the story at the end was amazing.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
You beautiful man. This is by far one of my favorite songs of the mystery dungeon games. It felt so epic, letting on the feeling that this was it. The final struggle.
I felt the exact same way around this part of the game. Thanks for listening, dude.
I found your music after looking for a saxophone cover of Ghost Fight from Undertale, and I have to say that to this day you have not ceased to amaze me with your music. This has given me so much nostalgia that I'm about to go get PMD right now and play it again. Good job mate!
Thanks for sticking around on my channel! Glad you like the music here.
Very nice! Always good to see remixes from the PMD games. Probably some of the most underrated scores in all of gaming.
I felt this in my very soul. It reminded me of the beauty of life.
Temporal Tower is one of my favorite pieces of Pokémon music. Thank you for making this wonderful cover!
I've just started playing Explorers of Time for the first time in my life and now You posted this. Awesome
Enjoy the game, man!
aaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAA!
Thanks a ton Trenton! So glad you liked it
Watching you perform this cover of one of the greatest songs in Pokémon ever at the conclusion of a grand adventure makes my life!
Finally a cover of the best PMD song!!! So beautiful, I'm truly grateful!!
That amazing moment when your fav youtuber makes a jazz cover of one of your fav games~~~
That pitch-shifting synth is everything.
Synths are great. Glad you liked em!
Glad I can highlight some great tracks from underrated OST's! Thanks for listening!
YES!!! It's finally happened! Aw man, this is so great! Excellent job on the cover.
The most beautiful motif in gaming... the Time Gear Motif. Beautiful job dude! This is one of my favorite songs in the game!
I love me a good motivic soundtrack. PMD2 will have my heart forever
Waking up to the best remix of my favorite mystery dungeon song is the only way to start the day. Listening to this is gonna make me cry for sure.
Why is it that after listening to this so many times I only just now recognized the traces of Sky Tower you hid in here, you genius!
I'm so glad to see the mystery dungeon community growing each day!!
This game. Carlos, you didn't give me chills. You FROZE me! In SUMMER. So much love right now, I'm thinking about crying.
I'm glad to see you're doing music that you're really passionate about. It's really evident in these videos
Thank you so much! Glad you're still enjoying the music :)
This feels very much like it would be in a movie soundtrack. In my opinion one of your best yet.
Back when I fist started watching you I used to just put your music videos as a background while I'm studying
Now I end up watching your videos from start to finish
Hey, that's awesome! I really appreciate that. Background music is just fine, but start to finishing watching is even better :)
Dang that piano vst sounds great but man is it pricey. Sick cover man.
