For everyone interested in doing this DIY, I strongly recommend that you call print houses before going out to buy all of the materials. We bought the exact same paper and designed our invites, and then spent 4 weeks calling over 30 printing places and no one would allow us to bring our own paper. We also tried printing the 140 lb paper on our personal printer and there was no way it was going to work. We actually live in Toronto and I was able to get in touch with Becky and go to the same print shop she used, but it was very much a one-off thing. The gentleman there was lovely and allowed me to bring in my own paper only after I explained that I was a bride and was getting desperate. Nowhere else would even consider it, so I don't think it's a common thing in the printing world (although it could be different in other cities). So, all that being said, just know that as beautiful as this DIY is, it wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. It turned out beautifully in the end, but my advice is to either buy thinner paper (maybe 90 or 110 lb?) and be prepared to print it yourself, or find somewhere in advance beforehand. Best of luck everyone! xoxo
Devin Cleary I am in Scotland and I am struggling to find anywhere that will print onto this. I now have 40 sheets of pink paper that won’t be getting used and I’m starting my invites from scratch. I think this DIY wedding thing is not for me 😭😭 would love to know if anyone outside of Toronto has managed this
Unfortunately this will be the case for many print shops as you've pointed out. I work for a printing place and we already have to reject paper which is 1. not labelled, 2. not laser jet compatible paper (such as watercolour paper), and we also have the right to reject paper which hasn't been properly packaged / kept in packaging because paper which isn't properly stored soaks up moisture from the air and causes paper jams from slight property changes in the paper. It sometimes forces us to call a technician from that particular printer company to come and get the printer back up and operating if the paper is stuck in a position which is unsafe or hard to reach. If they find out that we are feeding paper in that isn't recommended by the printer manufacturer, that can mean issues for us as staff / our company. If the printer or a part of the printer needs to be replaced from it we have voided the warranty from using a different paper than what is stated by the manufacturer so it comes out of the company's pocket. So you can only imagine that if we have to reject paper that may have been affected by the slightest moisture in the air..how water soaked watercolour paper will go down, particularly when it's curled up on the edges and won't feed in flat. The invites are gorgeous and I wish we at printing places could do more to assist with this DIY but alas...there's a lot of consequences to it that aren't worth the risk. S:
@@debrahunter8069 hi Debra, not sure if your wedding has been and gone but I just bought the canon PIXMA TS8150 from Amazon for £100 and it takes my 169lb paper. I know it's expensive just for one day but it might be worth it if you're doing more than the invites yourself. I'm in Scotland too. Feel free to message me xx
Yes yes yes! I DIY'ed almost every detail of my wedding and it made it so much more special..and I love looking back at the pictures knowing that it was something that I created. These are so beautiful!!

Omg Becky! You don't know how happy I am about this video!!! I've been wondering how to print wedding invitations and ripping straight paper edges, making them look organic, I love it all!!! Thank you SO much!
you can always rely on the sorry girls to give you a wonderful video! adoreee how the invitations turned out, simple, classy and gorgeous! I diyed the invitations for my wedding this past summer and felt really good to hear how everyone liked them!
I got married this past April and I cannot tell you how many times I referred back to the wedding series videos. I used the invitations DIY and got so many compliments on the invitations. My friends and family couldn’t believe that we made them ourselves. That then lead me to the floral gazebo/arch video and that inspired me to do my own florals and use fabrics for our altar, I’m rambling sorry. Point is, thank you for providing us with such great quality videos and for being so awesome! Love you girls!! Keep doing what you do!
I am only a teenager but I think this DIY is supah cute! It fits that spring aesthetic at the same time has this classy vibe💖 Congratulations on your wedding!
This is the best thing I have ever seen... who knew wedding invitation can be so freaking cute and easy!!! You guys are you best and soooo inspirational I swear!!
Just want to say thank you guys so much! i have been looking for wedding invitations for over a month now and as a photographer i hated every single one of them, until i saw your video! i will defo do this for my wedding, switching the eucalyptus with lavender:)
So everything in this series will be for your wedding? That's awesome! I think it's great that you're willing to share with us! You're going to make the most beautiful bride! ❤
This has totally inspired me!!! I have been SOOOOOO on the fence about doing my own invitations but now this video has shown me how EASY it is to DIY them. Plus I can add all the extra stuff I couldn't afford if I was purchasing them through a vendor!! THANK YOU!!!
I remember when you girls had less than 50k subs and I always thought you deserved more and then I looked all of a sudden and see that you girls have 800k+!! Congrats on everything💕
All I can say is WOW...! You are so very talented and I wish you all the best for your big day! I'm a wedding coordinator and I'm always looking to make cute invitations for styled shoots so this is so helpful. My favorite tip is the ruler tearing for an organic look. Thank you.
These look SO pretty! Thank you for sharing these very personal DIYs with us! They are going to help me out a lot since I'm getting married next year and my fiancée and I are slowly starting to look into invitations, decor and all that stuff. Can't wait for the upcoming videos!
Wow, I just stumbled on this randomly! But wow Becky Wright. We used to be such good friends at Richmond hill Christian school?? At least I think it's you lol if not awks. But congrats on your engagement!!
I have what I'm making for our invitations, loooooove the look and feel of these! Definitely creating mine a little based off of these! Love the flower add-in and the rustic look.
I'm getting married in November and my theme is rustic with lots of natural organics and I love love love this idea and how the invitations came out. Thank you ladies 😁😁😁!!!!
I've been watching you lovely ladies for a long time! Wedding planning is such a fun time! Make sure to enjoy the process as it passes by way too quickly.

i know this is such a personal thing so i really appreciate you sharing this with us, becky. the whole video had such a nice vibe and i bet your wedding will be beautiful💛
Made these in green with mine. Also made rsvp cards and added in eucalyptus. $30 in total. Cut the paper to 8x11 and printed myself. I used thinner paper for my own but they still came out great.
If you're using Photoshop, or any software, you should be using CMYK colour setting instead of RGB (that's for screen design). you won't notice too much of a difference if you're just doing black text, but it could affect colours.
I'm loving how simple this was! A dope idea that my cousin did for her wedding was put her invitations/programs on seed paper to make it all a little eco-friendly! good luck with wedding planning!

Hi Becky! I've been having trouble finding print shops that would feed 9x12in paper into their machines :'( Any suggestions?
Neenah Paper has 8.5x11 sheets of Royal Sundance in Felt that is similar to watercolor paper that Print shops will use
TheSorryGirls Becky your voice is so soothing yasssss
how cute would it be to close your envelope with wax?
if you're mailing them, no wax! It gets stuck in the machines at the postal service.
@@cherylboinske3411 Thank you for the heads up. I was totally planning on doing that.
You could double up on the envelopes, but it would be more expensive.
