I quilted in 70’s and 80’s there were only videos on PBS on Sunday’s. It’s like going form cars to planes! You’re videos are so much appreciated. Really like the one block quilt! New ways easy ways!
Team Jordan is the best deal! Thank you Donna for all your work. We all know you sell beautiful materials but your tutorials are a gift to the world. And let me say: you are the best in inspiring and teaching. Lovely that you show your little mistake to warn us to pay attention. Stay healthy and inspired! People all over the world find inspiration in your work!
I love fence rail quilts, but this just sends it to a whole new level. Thank you for all the work you put into your tutorials. Thank you for all your great instructions and tips.
I hope you realize how good your videos are. And how much your instructions and "helpful hints" are for any level of sewer/quilter. Thank you. I always look forward to watching.
Thanks for showing this pattern again - helps to catch up - it's a super interesting pattern and colour combination was great. I thought at first that the accent was too light, but no you once again got it brilliantly right. Thanks also for the gift of a free pattern 🌻
Donna..... I absolutely love your videos. I am on vacation (sewing machine set up) and will be making this rail fence with 'horse fabric' a dear friend gave me. Rail fence/horses.... yes!
Hi Donna,,,love this with all your colors .....not only do your quilts come out great,,,,,your messages are too. If you were a chef,,,,you'd make everyone hungry......Love your programs,,,,,,Lou 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹👍🇮🇹
I love how this quilt turned out. The fabrics and colors are gorgeous. The green accent fabric really pulls everything together. The pieced strip across the backing creates another "modern" image, a spectrum of color shooting through a galaxy of stars. All in all, this unique rail fence quilt is an A+. Thanks for the gentle coffee moment at the beginning, Donna. It set the perfect tone for the tutorial. Your home and landscaping are beautiful.
You are the first person who said to sew from the inside of the pinked edge on precuts! Other tutorials I’ve watched from other teachers all say to sew on the outside of the pinked edge. Thank you for that hint.
Cute way to start the video. Really like ombre fabrics so especially like the quilt. I was relieved to see that the one block that was initially turned the wrong way did get fixed before you sewed it together. I have made two quilts where I didn't catch it until AFTER the quilting was done. Oh well....
Your chanel is my wish come true. I am a self taught seamstress, and never "learned " how to quilt. Now I can see what I'm doing right and what tricks I never knew before watching your videos. Thank you! Portland OR.
Your videos are so clever! I not only appreciate your gift in sharing your talents for quilting but love that you share so much of your life with us and that makes me smile! Keep them coming and I'll keep watching :-)
Thank you for your help with the fence rail. I also watched your fence rail runner. I chose Christmas fabric but didn’t sort the fabrics like I should have. I learn so much from you!!! Thank you very much.
You have me so hooked on your tutorials. I try watching others but they're just not you Donna. They don't explain quite as well, you throw in so many little things that make us better seamstresses. Thank you so much Donna. Your children as well as Matt also add so much to your services. Thank you so much. I keep coming back for more! Sue from Oklahoma.
Love it, Donna! I'm adding it to my list of quilts to make. Love the snippers that I received as a gift from your shop when I visited a couple of weeks ago from Reno, Nevada. I marked them with a nail polish dot so husband wouldn't steal! Regards, Katherine
Quilterine, I'm from Reno, too. Our daughter lives in Portland, so I enjoy stopping in Grant's Pass and visiting Jordan Fabrics. Everyone is so nice and such gorgeous fabric! My husband went to lunch so I could visit the fabric!
Absolutely gorgeous! At first I didn’t know if I liked the fabric, but it really surprised me in the finished quilt. Love your tutorials! Thanks so much for helping us newbies get inspired to try new things!
This quilt is gorgeous and I love the little strips between each color. I also love the treatment on the back - both because it is beautiful and because it uses up the scraps in the best way!! Thanks for all the fun of your videos.
Ii’ve just found quilting tutorials on UA-cam and I am so excited, Donna your videos are amazing. I had no idea what a layer cake, jelly roll or fat quarter was. Now thanks to you and your hubby, I’m learning so much - my creativity is in overdrive. I placed an order over the weekend and can’t await its arrival, my sewing machine probably thinks I ran away from home, but it better get ready for the onslaught coming when my Jordan Fabrics box arrives. It will be Christmas in July! I feel like I know you already. Keep up making these amazing tutorials - I appreciate you and your information. I have tentative plans for February or early March to head out from Norfolk , Virginia to Bremerton, Washington. I hope to stop by the shop. Please keep me informed when you’ll be away at quilting fairs or expos so if I can’t catch you in Oregon, I might meet up with you somewhere along tha way, thank you for everything. Archa
I received my order yesterday and it was just like Christmas. The fabric quality is amazing! Can't wait to sew my precuts, I've never used precut before and it's an exciting concept, not having to cut each piece I'm using. Thank goodness you packaged everything in plastic, my box arrived totally wet and falling apart (I'm sure that wasn't your fault, I think it was the post office!) I wash my whole yardage before I use it, so I'm headed to the washing machine! Thanks a lot for the great videos which have reignited my quilting passion.
Thanks for your quick response! I love your videos! I just bought a steam generator iron like yours. What a difference it makes. I absolutely love it!!
Thanks for making this one free! I also love the wrong side of the ombre fabric. I know you loose the metallic polka dots but I loved it too! You are so inspiring and I love watching you! I never get bored watching you! Hugs from Canada!
This challenge gives a very successful result and so pleasing to look at and imagine in one house or an other. Congratulations Donna, well done and thank you for the time and detailed explanations. Roseline from Québec.
Such a beautiful quilt, both sides! And, I love the hombre metallic dot jelly roll you chose. Thank you for all of the tips. It's one I hope to try soon!
Beautiful. I have to alternate sewing from opposite ends or it develops a curve. Moda make beautiful materials. Your great instructions help greatly. Love watching your videos.
Great tip about the pinked edges! I don’t recall anyone describing that measurement so thank you!! Neat approach to a rail fence 😊
