They're still the little one you fell for years earlier and more than ever need to know that they're still loved. And it'll break your heart to do, but stay with them in their final moments. Don't let them die alone on a cold table at the vet. The memory still hurts to type now, but when my little boy went, (he chose the time when he stopped eating or drinking. They do understand when you talk to them. Actually they talk to you too. We are not the only beings on this planet that have languages and talk. Second, no sleeping in my bed, I will cuddle on floor. They are highly intelligent speak to them with love like you do anyone else. Respect them and learn what they tell you, what they want , how they feel, much is transmitted through to us in many ways... watch, learn, understand them. Walk, talk, play, give time, this will help you, too... Of course they are family, too... always and forever
My fur baby absolutely understands when I tell her I ❤ her. She sometimes become 'shy girl' and response adoringly 🥰 yes, I ler her sniff everything when we're in a walk for thst, it takes us forever juat to go down a few blocks! 😂
We have a 5+ yrs German Shepherd. He gets cuddles, ear rubs, and gets talk to every day throughout the day. I give him occasional doggy kisses (tongue licks) and he loves us as we love him. He is not a pet, he is a family member.
Me thinks many of these ways would also work well with our human loved ones ... Spouses, parents, children, grandparents, neighbors, coworkers, friends, etc., etc.
@user-ot6cw3ws1q .. Yes, very good advice. Thanks for adding this. The love we have for our pets is unconditional. So it's a good guideline to follow for people too, in contrast to this wag's statement.... "My love language is criticism." LOL
When I’am in the phone the dog barks I give him a treat , he eats it and barks again like an old pay phone time to feed the meter. He calls it hush puppy money lol
Mine loves that first 15 minutes in the morning when I'm trying to get dressed and he wants his cuddles 🥰❤❤ then he rolls onto his back for his belly rub. When I first started walking him, he was already three years old - he belonged to a disabled friend - and was scared of the outside world. It took him nearly two years to start acting like a dog and sniffing the world around him. Now he gets totally lost in his doggy world at times when he finds something interesting to sniff and loves long walks out in the wilds. Yes, he loves new places and meeting new doggy friends. I think he enjoys his new home since his mummy died and I became his forever daddy!
Your dog has an opinion, if you read their facial expression our dog can communicate with its master, so it's a really a two way conversation where you can detect any health traits
I once saw someone try to lead a horse and the animal just wasn't going to move. I said, "STOP staring at the horse. Turn away, look where you're going and start walking." Sure enough, the horse walked along happily. Staring is threatening to prey animals outside of their protective herd.
I scratch dogs on their chakra points: Crown (top of head) Third Eye (between eyes) Throat (front of neck) Heart (chest between front legs) Solar Plexus (tip of breastbone) Sacrum (small of back) Root (base of tail)
The more people I meet , the more I love my dogs . My 3 dogs have a larger vocabulary than most elementary school kids . They are so spoiled , they are called "smoochie poochies "( we're talking about a 65 , 80 , and 95 pounds dogs ) . They are nice enough to let my 17 yr old daughter have about a foot at the side of a king size bed they all share
Wonderful..I worry so much about dogs becoming mere accessories.. If its worth looking after a dog at all surely it must be all about genuinely loving them i.e meeting their needs, bless you, Karen in Cambridge
I call their endorphins DoggyDorphins🙂 They definitely understand/relate to my words. In the old world 1950/60, in our arrogance we didn't give them a whole lot of credit, many thought they "didn't" feel pain. Even today they aren't given nearly enough credit for their worth.
My dog understands chickie = food. She knows our names and who to go to by name. She has a thank you lick and A sloppy hello lick. She uses her eyes to make you follow. She understands park, walk, sleepies, and tone of voice.
Everyone seems to forget that dogs are pack animals and in the wild the old and the weak will loose there place to the end of the line or maybe be left behind all together even possibly get attacked and killed...when your dog becomes old, sick or injured they need reassurance they still have there place sometimes more often then you had too when they were young, fit and healthy....like a human they need to know they still have reason and purpose...
They definitely understand some words and shushing seems to also be very effective from breed to breed. I've also noticed that some words dogs seem to understand without having to train it. For example the word bag seems to work very quickly with some dogs. It doesn't require as much training and Association as other command words
My cane corso knows every word I say. And he sleeps in my bed.and I talk as I should. Hes always off lead instant recall if need to. But rare as always at my side unless tell him otherwise. ❤❤❤
I like that you said treat them as dogs & not human babys. To many people humanize them. They are not human & they dont want to be. They want to be a dog. And seeing them as a dog dousnt mean u love them less. You are not loving them more by thinking they are human. Opposite is true. See them as a dog. Love them as a dog. They can be family, but they cannot be human. And that isnt less.

My dog 💯 understands when I spell walk now.
First word my dog learned to spell.
I was shouting I love you out the car window to the cows and my lanrodoodle said I love you. ❤️ He did two more times. He knew.
I will be working on raising my left eyebrow - this is a new one for me. Well done post - helpful, informative and clear. I became your newest subscriber!
My two dogs actually understand me as I taught them to understand Chinese. I also taught one of my dogs that it’s ok to be hugged
This is a terrific video. ❤ You have a wonderful narrative voice without sounding phony 😊
Adding this to my tutorials playlist.
Thanks, thumbs up, have a great day.
Of course they are family, too... always and forever
i told my dog chewy asleep on my bed i love you and looked at me as if to say Bro i am sleeping
My fur baby absolutely understands when I tell her I ❤ her. She sometimes become 'shy girl' and response adoringly 🥰 yes, I ler her sniff everything when we're in a walk for thst, it takes us forever juat to go down a few blocks! 😂
I do the same thing!! I think it’s cruel not to!!!❤
We have a 5+ yrs German Shepherd. He gets cuddles, ear rubs, and gets talk to every day throughout the day. I give him occasional doggy kisses (tongue licks) and he loves us as we love him. He is not a pet, he is a family member.
My dog understands when I say bedtime, go out, dinner time. When I say I love you, she always winks at me.
A wonderful and totally accurate presentation. Thank You
Me thinks many of these ways would also work well with our human loved ones ... Spouses, parents, children, grandparents, neighbors, coworkers, friends, etc., etc.
Absolutely!!!
When I tried putting anti-flea liquid on the kids they hid, the dog stayed put?
Somewhere I read we should treat our closest persons the way we treat our pets. We love them no matters what they do
@user-ot6cw3ws1q .. Yes, very good advice. Thanks for adding this. The love we have for our pets is unconditional. So it's a good guideline to follow for people too, in contrast to this wag's statement....
"My love language is criticism." LOL
My pitbull understands me when I ask him "lab moko?/ Do you love me?" He will just wiggle wiggly when he heard that while laying down 🤣
When I’am in the phone the dog barks I give him a treat , he eats it and barks again like an old pay phone time to feed the meter. He calls it hush puppy money lol
SUPER adorable! I am stealing the phrase! My 10 year old dog has just begun doing that behavior!
Hush $$$-too funny!
I’ve been talking to my dog like a baby before I even found this video!
Thank you for making effort on this video! 🐾
I scratch dogs on their chakra points:
Crown (top of head)
Third Eye (between eyes)
Throat (front of neck)
Heart (chest between front legs)
Solar Plexus (tip of breastbone)
Sacrum (small of back)
Root (base of tail)
Bodies are regularly opened for operations. No Chakras found, sorry.
I've seen just one way: pet them forever ❤
Fur babies are truly little angels from heaven. So many nights my fur baby has gotten me thru bad dreams ❤❤❤
Thank you for your wisdom 🐾❤🐾🌼
I love 😘 my 9 dogs ....
My dogs are my kids. It's been a long time since I've seen them, but we talk on the phone & share pictures.
It's all about the animals ❤
Great post ~
Thank you 😊
Dogs can talk with their eyes and whole body. A language for communication is not always necessary. Like music understandable for everybody.
Ma sha Allah MashAllah
God bless them ❤❤❤❤❤❤
When I say I love Kirk, he leans in and shows his affection.
I love this!
Camping. My dog looses his mind when I take the tent out of the closet.
What age would you take your dog camping? My pup is nearly 6 months is this too young?
Awesome. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Wonderful..I worry so much about dogs becoming mere accessories.. If its worth looking after a dog at all surely it must be all about genuinely loving them i.e meeting their needs,
bless you,
Karen in Cambridge
all my animals know cause they all come to lay with me no matter where i’m at in the house and im always smooching and loving on em
My wifes papillon looks at her with unmistakable love. No one else gets that endearing look.
I haven't checked the research yet, but one video said that dogs that sleep with their humans, on their beds, live longer.
Mine has her own apartment and she sleeps there primarily with occasionally visits to sleep on my couch instead of her own couch. In other room
My two German shepherd understands everything I say!!
I call their endorphins DoggyDorphins🙂
They definitely understand/relate to my words.
"Loose there place" is actually "lose their place"
@@Julia-b9x Samsung predicted text...I'm sorry I should proof read before sending 😉
Some dogs don't like eye contact if it has a bad feeling behind it, also smells can determine a dogs mood.
VERY GOOD VIDEO.. KUDOS
They definitely understand some words and shushing seems to also be very effective from breed to breed. I've also noticed that some words dogs seem to understand without having to train it. For example the word bag seems to work very quickly with some dogs. It doesn't require as much training and Association as other command words
Dogs can understand simple language. At the basic rate of a 4 year old child!
My cane corso knows every word I say. And he sleeps in my bed.and I talk as I should. Hes always off lead instant recall if need to. But rare as always at my side unless tell him otherwise. ❤❤❤
"But in my Dog whereof I made no store
I find more Love than those I trusted more."
