This is the just another pathetic 'For Millennial Female Dog Owners' Video. 🙄🥴
Yet another Common Sense video for a group of Dog Owners who SHOULDN'T BE.

    • @Xessa82
      @Xessa82 Місяць тому +16

@@tubezzztube I fail too see what was so pathetic about an informative video that could be beneficial for all people to watch. Plenty of people don't have dogs but still are interested in their behaviors. While some explanations in this video may have been common sense, not everything was. I currently have a dog and have had or been around dogs my entire life. My very first family pet when I was a child, a Doberman Pinscher named Misty, was born only a few months before I was so we literally grew up together. I've had dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, chicken and other pets through out my life so I know a fair bit about caring for animals and still found the video interesting. I mostly just enjoyed seeing the different dogs in the video though. There's nothing wrong with people educating themselves especially when they're likely to come in contact with dogs at some point even if they don't have one. While I am a female Xennial with a dog, I didn't seek out this video or info. It just auto played after another video. I am sure though that there are plenty of people who have watched it that are not female Millennials. I'm curious as to what you have against them or why you assume they shouldn't have dogs. I know plenty of Millennial females who have dogs, including myself, that are great with them. It's rather sad that you're just making assumptions about people who may just be just trying to learn more about their pet, something all pet owners should do. Knowing how to decipher your pets different behaviors is vital to caring for them properly.

The real excitement of owning a dog comes when you actually learn to communicate with each other.
Did you know that the dog is the only animal that points and responds to your pointing? Both you and the dog exchange this complex information system and it is one of the things that makes the relationship between dog and human unique.

      @@blck. I'm a professional behaviorist and trainer, 2 decades.
I know the video took a while to answer the question but that's what UA-cam content creators want - they need you to watch minutes.
The more minutes you watch of their content the better so they put the clickbait question at the very end of their video so you watch the entire thing instead of getting the answer in the beginning and then clicking off.
It's not nonsense and fluff though. It's actually genuinely honest information that people don't understand and it's a good way of explaining why dogs do what they do.
I've been preaching and teaching this for 20 years, so to have a content creator finally acknowledge the genuine truth about why dogs do what they do, it's pretty awesome to see that

I spent 4 months in Mexico during college. I had a Bichon Frise at the time, who I absolutely adored. My favorite memory of her, Paddy, was when I returned from Mexico on Dec 23, 1996. I hid on the side of the van and watched her happily greet my parents. Then I walked behind her and whispered, "Paddy!" I swear she did a triple take! Once she fully understood I was back, she spent a half hour doing Bichon Blitzes (zoomies, but for Bichons, lol), barking, jumping up at me, and more Bichon Blitzes. I spent that time trying to pick her up, laughing and crying. Eventually, she did let me pick her up, and I gave her a million kisses. She spent the next 72 hours not letting me out of her sight, and if I moved an inch to get more comfortable or something, she was up on her feet ready to follow me. It must have been very confusing for her when I went back to school after the holidays. Luckily, my school was only an hour away, and I would go home just to see her quite a bit. She was a great dog. I miss her so much.

I most definitely have a Velcro dog. He is almost always with me. I'm retired so Papi has me at home all the time. He goes to bed with my wife when she goes to bed but sleeps on my pillow waiting for me to come to bed. He was 11 months old when we got him from the shelter, but he had been abused by, I believe three different families. He tore up a lot of bedding before we got him to calm down. He will be three this coming April and he has changed and calmed down so much.

When my best friend died, recently, her dog was given to me to take care of. The dog is very affectionate and seems happy, but she often stares into a corner of my dining room as if she is looking at something. Whatever it is, she is 100% entralled with it. She does not respond to me calling her or break her gaze for about 2 minutes. Then she usually runs over to me and seems excited (not scared...just kinda happy) She's doing it right now actually!

I use some dog behaviors myself on dogs which is speaking their language back to them. I've actually play-bowed for the same reason they do it. While I train "off", "leave it", or "no" for certain behaviors like not letting go of something or regrabbing it after letting it go, in pure playing situations, a high-yelp stops the behavior that hurts me immediately cuz dogs know that means ouch in canine. Sometimes it takes a little bit to get excited dogs to pay attention to human language. At those times, a high-yelp sends the message right away.

I use miming when grooming one of my dogs to show what I want to do next, especially around her head. I mime a dog ear using my hand on my head or hold the scissors next to different areas on my face. I will also cup my chin with my hand then offer her my hand for her to rest her chin.

I'm already known by friends and acquaintances as the crazy dog lady. I also study what works for individual dogs under my care. After researching general Dalmatian characteristics when my normal techniques weren't working on a 9-month-old Dal with not a lick of training when my friend adopted her, I tried time outs - I put her into the garage sternly stating, "Time Out", closed the door and then went around the yard squeaking her toys, pretend talking and laughing for several minutes. It took all but 2 times for her to figure it out and from there all I had to say is "Do you need a time out" and she would immediately stop her misbehaviors. Like most Dals, she couldn't stand not being part of whatever was going on without her. But this only worked at her or my house cuz she knew I'd never leave her alone away from those places. Clever girl.

My second guide dog would lick my feet every night before we went to sleep. It was our little routine. Sweet boy.
My third guide dog took seven months to drop her favorite toy in my lap, but gave me her belly a day and a half after I got her. Sweet girl.
She's fourteen next month, and I get to see her soon. I'm incredibly excited. We've been apart for the longest time since I got her. It's been a long nine months!
I wonder what guide dog number four will be like.

Dogs are simply amazing and deserve love and attention, proper training, walks, playtime, grooming, and medical care. Some breeds require much more exercise than other breeds, so be sure to get a dog that will fit your lifestyle. I know someone that currently has 4 dogs she calls rescues.. she got them from the shelter. All 4 are small breed dogs and spend 10 hours daily or more alone while their owner works. None are potty trained and even when their owner is at home the dogs do their business in the house and this has been going on for a few years. They do have a large fenced yard to play in when their owner is at home but will still come back inside to do their business. This person constantly boasts on social media about having 4 rescues and posts pics of her dogs in outfits, etc. as if she is this great dog mom.. Those dogs got more attention and exercise at the shelter than they do now. If you own a dog and have to work, that is understandable, but if you have no one else at the house to let the dogs outside, and or to walk them, you should hire someone to do it... the dogs deserve it. In my opinion.

To show me she wants to play she does this hilarious spin thing and makes this howl sound it’s so funny. She also talks cause she’s a husky. Also every morning as soon as I stir she jumps on my chest and gives me a huge hug and says I love you in 3 distinct syllables it’s adorable. Jumps up and gives me hugs when I come home. Paws at her bowl when she’s hungry or paws at me like she tapping me saying “hey, hey, hey, hey - feed me”. She always cuddles in the curl of my legs cause I’m a side sleeper so we look like yin and yang. It’s adorable love her to death I’m sure she does other things too but those are the ones that came to mind

It sounds more like he has a negative association with this action. Perhaps it sounds bad (jingling, crunching), or pulls his fur, maybe he was trained with force (leash jerks, prong collar). Or it isn't a negative association and he is naturally following the downward movement of your hand.
Whatever the reason, it will be easy to fix: pair removing the leash with giving a little treat. He is reaching up to you, plus gaining a positive association with removing the leash 😊

A long story about a dog stretching for anyone board. I use to have a neighbour who ran a pretty large junk yard. I ran my own body shop just up the road and over the years we traded work and did a lot for each other. If I needed a deck truck or wrecker he let me borrow his free of charge, some times I would do the odd run for him as well. One day I needed a truck to deliver a car I had finished as it wasn't registered, inspected or safetyed yet. He told me I could use ut but it had a large six cylinder diesel he had just swapped out of his pay loader on the deck that needed to be dropped off at another junk year first. No problem, it was about half an hour away so an hours round trip and I could make my own delivery. So when I got there it was after closing but I had been there many times and knew where they kept their loader to lift it off the truck and most of these places leave the keys in their machines for just such a reason. Now unlike my friends place this place had junkyard dogs some of which were tied and some not. He had all shepards which I love and find to be an amazing breed of dog very smart with good instincts. As I walked up to the shop where the loader sat parked I noticed some very large paw prints in the mud bigger than any shepard I had ever seen. Over on the earth hill used as a fence sat half a dozen shepherds watching me but it never phased me as I had never had any problem with them before. Little did I know they were just picking a seat for the main show. As I walked straight on towards the loader I looked back to my right away from the shepherds and saw a single sleeper taken off a highway tractor, I caught movement of what I knew right away was a Rottie who stirred and was watching me. I thought what a good calm pup and even spoke to him. He still didn't exit the sleeper until.......until I passed the halfway point and was in his zone where he felt comfortable catching me. He slowly stepped out of the sleeper stretching so as to not hurt any muscles in the calalminity to come. That made me stop. Then I noticed the chain the dog was secured to the ground with. It was transportation grade 3/8th link chain. The time you use for lifting thousands of pounds. I had used for tying down tractors at my previous job. I turned and started running back and the dog started running at me the same time. I didn't stop to look but that chain was roaring as it rubbed on the lip of the sleeper until it all came out and then was rubbing on the ground. I swear I felt it's hot breath on my back when the chain went taught. I was so angry by what happened, the Shepherds were yipping and moving around but never left the hill, they were not getting involved in this. I went back to the truck and grabbed a hold down chain with the big long axel hook and turned to deal with the Rottie but calmed down realizing he did his job and really could not be blamed. Personally I think having dogs like that around a business is just asking for a law suit but that's a personal opinion. To this day I don't trust Rotties who are not socialized regularly or any dog not use to being around other dogs, people and or animals. I have seen guard dog rotties mangle people up over innocent situations some will never be right again. Dogs are our best friends in the whole world of species out there. They thrive in healthy two way relationships with humans and we do as well. I can still say to this day I have not been bitten by a dog, even supposedly cross ones if you pay attention to what they are telling you and respect it.

Eating dog poo, dirt, grassk can also be a nutritional deficiency, this is something my vet told me. I have been rescuing dogs for over 40 years and have a lot of research under my belt. I have worked with conventional and homeopathic vets. Don't let them lick your feet, if you have athlete's foot of discolored nails - you have a fungus and the dogs can get that, ask a vet.

I have had dogs all my life. I never heard the term "zoomies" I guess it is new day speech.

Ive always known of the term zoomie as meaning a crazy figure of 8 chase around the house. I think zoomies is a new term of phrase though. xx
