Should’ve received an Oscar, or at the very least a nomination, for The Dark Knight as well. Shame how great actors don’t get acknowledged by the Oscars until later in their careers and in some instances, they never win. At least he won an Academy Award.

All Bale did is terrible acting. He is surviving just because of the weight loss/gain gimmick, otherwise he is worthless.

CB is an amazing actor - if you have never seen Empire of the Sun, I highly recommend. He was all of 13 years old, and turns out an incredible performance. I think it's ironic that Reese Witherspoon presented him with this award, because I think her performance for Man in the Moon - she is @14 in that movie - is equally matched. Just incredible.

The last scene in this movie Fighter where Bale is being interviewed with Mickey (Wahlberg) hit me, unexpectedly. The raw emotion and relativity put in in just that one scene got me searching to make sure Bale won an Oscar for his performance and sure enough lol here I am watching one of the modern greats recieve the award deservedly so even above Rushs performamce. Bale defintely cements himself as one of the best actors of all time
