Oil feed comes from a tee where the OEM pressure sensor goes, drain I welded a -10AN fitting on top of sump on passenger side

Thanks mate, yeah of course I've still got it. No way I'd ever get rid of it haha. I think it was 14psi and its about 300rwkw. Haven't had it on dyno since last upgrades.

what happens when cops pull a p plater driving a modified commodore? only mild mods like an exhaust and a cold air intake? Any demerit points or just straight defect for the mods?

You should get away with a cold air intake because it’s not a massive power boost unless it’s feedjng something alot more fierce, but depending on the exhaust you choose it could be grounds for a defect.
However, the upgrades on the commodore in this video are most definitely illegal for a p-plater. Turbo petrol engines are already a grey area when it comes to legality for p-plates, but putting a turbo on an NA engine (particularly one that is already as powerful as the eco) is definitely gonna land a defect.

Hands down turbo, no doubt about it, power, torque and fun wise. But reliability wise, an NA V8 will be better for less $$, but if you build a turbo setup properly you can get it reliable like mine is now. My answer is always turbo over NA V8 haha.

ResolvedCash0 Haha man don't get me started. Have had nothing but problems from Gforce Australia with it, still don't have it after almost 9 months! I'll go into it more when/if I finally get it. In a nutshell, just waiting on a custom input shaft that they can't seem to get right after 3 months of waiting... Am not happy at all. haven't driven my ute for like 4 months now.
I cannot wait to get some more vids pumping with the ute

ResolvedCash0 Yeah it does suck and am so disappointed, because all id heard about gforce was good reviews. Not a scam, theyre a company that's been round for decades. Just fkn piss poor service and clearly zero fucks given about getting shit done for the customer
hey dude was thinking of putting a turbo on my vr ute. is this a stock engine or have you done work to it ?
In this video the engine config was:
-Stock bottom end with double row timing chain
-Stock top end with 1.9:1 high ratio rockers, hardened pushrods and crow cam lifters
-Custom enlarged and reverse intake manifold
And a stage 3 custom built cerametallic button Clutch and trutrac mechanical lsd.
There's so much other custom work done that would take forever to name Haha.
Currently finishing off the next stage of the car with ported heads and upgraded springs, seals, guides etc and tonnes of other stuff

Yeah it will as long as the motor is relatively good still. I've seen many guys boost junkyard 300k km motors n go pretty well. As long as u have a good tune n a good crankcase ventilation it will usually be fine.
Boosted & Built Garage hey mate sorry for the late reply but i got myself a turbo kit off a mate needs bits and peices. are you running off the stock ecu? the kit i got has a haltech e6gmx and i was wondering if you had any tunes you would like to share ? on a pretty low budget only a first year and dont really have the coin to go to a dyno
Gerred Foscarini Ah nice bro! Yeah I'm running stock ecu but my tuner has flashed a different upgraded firmware on it and I also running an nvram board so I can flash straight to it instead of pulling out the memcal every time.
The haltech should be a good unit, anything haltech is usually good gear. I don't have any tunes that would work. For the first go I think u pretty much have to dyno it hey. It's well worth saving the coin.

Lol I think it was full throttle and pretty much to limiter (as you can see the shift light indicating) So 10 hahaha
Boosted & Built Garage wow. i have a stock 01 wrx. i recently installed a turbosmart manual boost controller and when i went full nuts in 3rd/4th gear i hit like 18-20 psi. But under normal driving i get 5psi and in light boosting, i get anywhere from 8 to 12 psi. im pretty the thing needs some turbo supporting mods and definitely a tune.
