Do you have the original 2010 deluxe limited edition CD/DVD of Phil's 'Going Back' album? If not, then I can certainly recommend it, as the CD includes a very generous 25 tracks (instead of just 18 that's on the standard version) and the bonus DVD has literally tons of extras on it. I would certainly urge any huge Phil Collins fan to hunt out a copy from any online retailers such as Ebay, Amazon or Discogs. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

I've been a Genesis fan since the 70's. The moment Phil took the reins of the band he showed that it was possible to go ahead with the production of several albums with the help of his companions. Unfortunately, as we know, the band fractured and they turned to other members and kept the music going with high-level albums. In between, like everything in life, there were ups and downs, other bands at the same time with Phill splitting up, reaching the point of having to stop where unfortunately uncontrollable situations occurred. But the core of the band had never been forgotten....Phil wasn't finished! They threw "stones in his path"...they tried to denigrate his image, but even so he demonstrated that he was still capable of going further for the love of music, which was in fact his life. For everything that happened to him, I have a deep respect for his humanity, his persistence, his legacy. Everything he wrote and set to music has an engaging meaning in the contemporary world. I'm sorry because Phil made us laugh, tear up and think about this life we have and haven't had because we live on a strange planet ruled by strange people with no feelings and manipulators where nothing will change. I hope the new generations will pay some time and attention listinning The Genesis hole legacy... I'm an adult in my thirties now and this song makes me want to go back to my childhood days! I miss those simpler times! Every now and then, I will watch or listen to something from my childhood that I recently brought back into my life. This song reminded me of something that happened last year when I went back and rediscovered one of my favorite bands from my childhood, The Jackson 5! All the memories came back of me listening to and singing with my childhood crush, Michael Jackson, when I was little. Phil did a great job on this Carole King song. I had no idea she wrote this until I looked it up and heard her version! Sometimes when you're an adult you have those days where you just want to go back to your childhood, and that's me! Watched the concert at the roseland ballroom yesterday for the first time and I’m still stunned!!!!! Thank you Mr. Collins that you have fulfilled a dream and gifted it to us! To listen how difficult and complex it was to recreate these songs was amazing. I had no idea, I could listen and watch you working in the studio for ages!!!!! His voice is so pure and so true especially in this song. I've loved his music and yes, dare I say? Phil himself, ever since I first heard him sing. I am a little on the emotional side at the moment w/my Mom facing heart surgery and then finding out I had a medical scare of my own recently, that I hope he doesn't mean that he's going back too far to be w/ our Father, but just going back and remembering his childhood. I so wish I could meet this extremely gifted and talented man some day. He is definitely handsome even more so now and seems to have a very caring heart.

Nun bin ich 68 Jahre alt und habe seit Beginn Genesis und alle Phil Collins Songs gehört. War auf zig Konzerten mit meinen Söhnen und Enkelkindern. Going Back ist der Song, den ich spielen ließ als ich vor 6 Jahren in den Ruhestand ging. Und ich mache es wie im Song, zähle nicht die Jahre, sondern genieße die Tage. Ich hoffe für Phil, er macht es endlich auch. Er hat mir alles mit seinen Songs gegeben. Danke.

Watched the concert at the roseland ballroom yesterday for the first time and I’m still stunned!!!!! Thank you Mr. Collins that you have fulfilled a dream and gifted it to us! To listen how difficult and complex it was to recreate these songs was amazing. I had no idea, I could listen and watch you working in the studio for ages!!!!! What a blessing this album is and I’m very grateful for the dvd, it’s a gem ❤

I didn't know Phil sang this. One of my favourite songs.
His voice is so pure and so true especially in this song. I've loved his music and yes, dare I say? Phil himself, ever since I first heard him sing. I am a little on the emotional side at the moment w/my Mom facing heart surgery and then finding out I had a medical scare of my own recently, that I hope he doesn't mean that he's going back too far to be w/ our Father, but just going back and remembering his childhood. I so wish I could meet this extremely gifted and talented man some day. He is definitely handsome even more so now and seems to have a very caring heart.
