    • @zaziou711
      @zaziou711 3 роки тому +24

      So true. Any band knows how hard it is for the singer to make a proper cover of a Phil Collins song, it's quite impossible to not sound amateurish by trying it. It's like any Freddie Mercury's song.
      Phil Collins is very underrated as a singer compared to the recognition he has as a drummer or a songwriter. Maybe because it seems so effortless for him.

It’s all auto tune and added singers or instruments nowadays. Where is the heart and soul of making good music? It’s dead now. These young kids listen to crappy music now with no real meaning behind it.

    Im still listening to this masterpiece in 2023 . I remember in 1993 i broke up with my girlfriend and left her house in the rain and stoped a block away. I listened to this song for about an hour on my headphones and my walkman crying and thinking of her. I worked up the courage to go back to her house and told her I couldn’t go on with life without her and she took me back. We made love and it was the best day of my life. She then became my wife 8 years later and we had a baby girl, which is the best thing i have in my life. We seperated 16 years later but this song always reminds me of her and that day. I will always love her till my dying day.

      Victoria, the emotion of this is incredible. I would feel the same way as your father.

    Man, I heard this on the radio today when I headed out for lunch from work. I haven't heard this in about 33 years. I was 13 when this came out. I loved watching it on MTV over and over again when they actually played videos. I blasted this in my car. I actually teared up to realize again how beautiful of a song it is. Phill and Eric was awesome here.
