Got the Rzr a few months ago, love the light weight and compactness, very easy to pack and carry. ditched the factory attachment method and went with the 3/16" Amsteel rope mod with a trucker's hitch. gets very tight to the tree. My 260 lbs feels very secure with it and I don't regret it at all!!!
Get one, you won't regret it!!

I think I will be switching to the Rzr after this season! After seeing the two used side by side throughout this season, I definitely like the packability, weight, and bite of the Rzr over the Mini Seeker. I have the HFAS from Hang Free and love it so that’s probably what I’ll stick with. Thanks for your comment!

I own a mini seeker and wish it would bite better. Neither one looked super solid here, the rzr’s top 2 teeth didn’t even touch when you put weight on it. I just bought a Trophyline onyx platform and it will definitely replace my mini seeker, it bites like no other platform I’ve tried. Now it does weigh more than the mini seeker but it is a little bit bigger so I can live with it, especially for how much better it locks to the tree.

I agree, both top standoffs weren’t dug into the tree real well, if at all. May be the way we were camming them down too, idk. I think a lot of it is the ropes/straps these platforms come with. You just can’t get them tight enough by hand to really bite in well. I probably should have added to this video that I bought the Hang Free Attachment System (H.F.A.S) for my Seeker and it not only is much simpler to use but seems to bite better to the tree. I have a video up showing that attachment method if you’re interested. Thanks for your comment!

@@whitetailaffinity yeah I’ve been using the 3/16 hfas for a few months and it’s super nice, but the seeker has to have the perfect tree almost to completely lock down regardless of how it’s attached. This onyx bites any tree which I love because I am a super mobile hunter and if there is only one tree that I can get into I want my platform to have no problem with it.

@@paytenblevins3401good to know! This is my first year using a platform separate from a stick or ring of steps so it’s going to be a learning curve. I’ll have to give the onyx a look if this setup gives me issues this year.
