Mr Staggs going ninja mode on the mini seeker. Hope you're doing well sir. Looking forward to any and all future content coming or way from you. Also going them tree styx are treating you well. There have been a few semi reviews out, but I'm most excited for your indepth review.
As always great review. Thanks for doing this one I have been waiting on it lol I am sold
That was a great reveiw buddy! Good luck with everything my friend!
Hey man been looking for your videos finally found a new thank you
I’m digging the Predator Camo. Good luck Greg.
Good job
Like that front angle
I noticed at 9:45 a huge squeak. Hopefully it won’t do that at full draw!
👍🏻👍🏻💯💯 Just subbed ya! Hope for more trapping videos!
We’re gonna do our best to take the camera on the line a couple times thus year! Appreciate ya!
Review the beast gear top stick platform please
I use a predator to the side of my one stick. How does the mini seeker compare to the predator? I like the idea of the angled part for when I'm leaning.
That’s the big difference. I’ve owned a Predator before and I like the Mini Seeker much better.
Thanks for the detailed review, Greg.
Much appreciated, as always!
My only concern is I did notice the platform has some bounce to it when you get your weight out near the front, even after being set. Not much at all, but it is noticeable. Just wondering if that’s normal for a smaller platform? I don’t remember seeing any give at all on the OG Seeker review you did but I could be wrong. Thoughts on this?
It’s probably there if you saw it (obviously) but I didn’t FEEL it, if that makes sense. It feels solid as all get-out (well, probably less solid than the Trophyline platforms but they’re in a different hemisphere when it comes to that …)
@@StaggsintheWild very good point and that makes total sense. Yes, Novix makes some good quality stuff.
I’m actually deciding between the EDP and Mini Seeker currently. It’s a tough one. Due to the Seeker having the beveled front, that’s the only thing that really keeps it in the ballgame for me. Any thoughts?
@@rylandrummonds I hate doing this … but all I can say is “stay tuned.” 😁
Thanks for another great review. I am definitely leaning (no pun intended) towards the mini-seeker. In your honest opinion, would you prefer it to the Onyx, if you are not 1-sticking?
For shorter run & gun hunts I like the fact it’s lighter and I appreciate the larger surface area on the angle to lean against.
@@StaggsintheWild thank you!
You prefer this over one sticking?
Nope. I’m a one-sticker through and through … that’s why I talked about in the video taking this with me on certain days to pair off to the side of my one-stick.
Thoughts on this vs squirrel steps?
Two completely different mindsets to me … I love pairing three squirrel steps around a big tree to help me get around, but on a basketball sized tree or slightly larger, I like jut a platform. They’re comfier and allow you to stand up and pivot all the way around if you want for a weak-side shot.
That’s just me though. Some guys love a ring of steps more so than a platform; I like using them IN CONJUNCTION with a platform.
@@StaggsintheWild thank you very much for your time and videos. I’ve Learned a boatload from watching your channel and have passed all your info along to my fellow hunters
Mini seeker vs predator ? Wich one to get and why ! ?? Help please!
Mini Seeker. Does everything the Predator does and that angled front is SWEET!
Would you choose this over the EDP??
Both are VERY good platforms. The EDP feels more solid on the tree and doesn’t budge a BIT … but I love the front angle on the mini Seeker. As a leaner, if I could ONLY have one, this would be my pick.
@@StaggsintheWild one review on here complained about the nipples and how it would catch on his boots and make noise. Do you see those to be an issue. Thanks again for the quick response.
I’ve never had that problem but I also don’t “drag” my feet across the surface either.
With your experience, would you pick one of the Seekers or the Onyx?
The Onyx is sturdier... the Seeker has more adjustability for leaning trees. :)
@@StaggsintheWild thanks for taking the time to reply. Which one is more comfortable would you say?
@@zb5715 if you’re mostly a leaner, I’d “lean” towards the Seeker … if you’re a little bit of everything, the Onyx.
