You were hitting the snare drum so relaxed, but getting so much power and snap. That means only one thing, great technique. From one drummer/drum tech to another, keep up the work dude. I love watching your stuff
Love watching Sal play in Staind. Sal has to be a great drummer to work with as well considering his background as a tech. Great videos and enjoy the time off.
Been enjoying some downtime at home after a long year of touring, happy to get back to some editing videos between building the new studio and rehearsals with my band!
@ depends on the artist or band, sometimes it’s planned 6 months to a year in advanced but other times it’s a month two beforehand. Depends on the need and the tour length.
I’ve never noticed anyone doing 14” and 18” toms as their two floors! I’ve always had 14” then 16” and will sometimes feel like the sweet spot of each drum’s note is too close to each other. I’m going to have to grab an 18” tom and give this a shot! Tune down the 14” a little more and see what happens. Very cool!
@@JETX1990 same here dude, it’s usually 14/16 or 16/18 and sometimes 18/20. But I really like the intervals between the 14/18, pretty cool difference and still works well!
I don't know him personally but do remember the band Default, didn't know he was a mapex guy. That's rad! They are a great company and overlooked by many but make solid drums!

I WAS THERE!!!! Grew up with these bands and seeing Breaking Benjamin live for the first time was like seeing my heroes.
That's rad! Hopefully you enjoyed the show!

@@DavidNesterDrums Good stuff. How far in advance do they tell you your with another drummer/band for x amount of time??

I see those WFL III drums! Things are so beautiful, Bill Ludwig is definitely proud 🤘
You saw WFL lll drums in this video?
You might've been referring to the Seether Drum Tech Vlog, their drummer uses WFL lll drums. Sal uses Mapex though.

Thanks so much!
Miss seeing you on stage brother!❤❤❤ Merry Christmas
Thanks dude, I'll be back on the stage this weekend in Chicago and the following weekend in Dayton, Ohio! Looking forward to both shows!
Great vid! Cheers
thanks!
AWESOME!
Glad you enjoyed!
It’s cool how the mapex and dw hardware look alike.
@@Dan_the_Great_ pretty similar for sure!
Do u have a vlog making at jones beach theater?
I don't think so, most of the time that's a long load in/load out process so there's not a ton of extra time for filming there.
Right on!...
🤘🤘🤘
Do you know Danny Craig?
He drummed for Default, a Canadian rock band. Played Mapex drums
Loved his sound
They aren’t the most common drums

@@DavidNesterDrumsmy good friend Alberto enjoys or enjoyed mapex. He got an old kit at his studio as well. Well maintained
Which 64 audio model do you use?
I used the A6t model, with black for the body and clear 64 logo caps.
