Thank you so much for this! I hope you'll take this as the compliment it's meant but my favourite comercial (as it were), reader of Wodehouse is not Martin Jarvis (gasp!) but Simon Callow. He read them back in the days when audio books were on cassette, no cd's. But you try finding them now! Martin Jarvis, Martin Jarvis, and Martin Jarvis. Bless him, and so on. You on the other hand... As wonderful as Simon Callow anyday, and quite possibly better! So thank you again!
@@crystalclear6864 Agreed. He also added the tone that was needed. I cracked up when his Connie voice made Clarence snap to attention. He was wonderful.
What ho! UA-cam's missing four Jeeves/Cecil audiobooks, you wouldn't be in position to post them, would you? They missing ones are: "The code of the Woosters" (it's there but only a broken recording) , "Ring for Jeeves", "Jeeves in the offing", and "Much obliged, Jeeves". Tinkety tonk!
All the Cecil's recordings that I can get my hands on at my location are already featured on this channel. I don't think Cecil's ever read "Ring for Jeeves," "Jeeves in the offing," and "Much obliged, Jeeves." We make do with what we can get. 😊
@Sarah-4-Iddies Well, if he never read them that explains it then! I didn't think of that. A shame about "The code of the Woosters", although a few hitherto unavailable Cecil recordings have been posted quite recently so maybe it'll pop up someday soon too. Thanks for your contributions anyway, great work!
Oh, what a mood this puts one in. One starts talking like that, and one is simply unable to be unkind.
This guy is the voice of p g woodhouse perfection personified
I so agree..I can't listen to anyone else
Johnathan Cecil . Perfection reading Wodehouse

Absolutely. Mr. Cecil is the best followed by Stephen Fry.

I think you’ll find Henry Cecil has been dead for 40 years
@@stephenkennedy1609 Oops! In that case Simon Callow is almost as good as him.
This was read by Jonathan Cecil. He died in 2011.
They all had their own voice. All were amazing. But i have to say J.Cecil to me has the right voices for a Wodehouse era

This is the cat nappers
This is actually Jonathan Cecil reading, NOT Martn Javis.

The women in Wodehouses writings are always foul and .......so many other foul things.
Well so are the men 😆
How has Martin Jarvis ever carved a career out of acting there are trees in the forest less wooden
Martin Jarvis has no connection to this audio book laddie.
