PEARLS, GIRLS AND MONTY BODKIN - P. G. WODEHOUSE 👍 / JONATHAN CECIL 👏
I love this! I never heard of this Wodehouse book before, although I have read a lot of his novels and stories. Thank you very much for bringing it to life. All the characters and problems seem so real, even though it was over 100 years ago.
Every moment a treasure. Thanks for uploading this great.
Monty Bodkin is great, thanks!
Thank you
Oh yes. Thanks old horse

Lovely reading. I've heard this several times and this is the one that nailed it, spot on. Perfect tempo, tone and personalization. Double pay. $ M. 😂 IL USA
Marvellous yarn. Loved it. ❤
Absolutely wonderful .
Amazing reading and use of the English language the Observations of the human condition have never been bettered and sprinkled with the magic Wodehouse humour which standis the test of time. I love this thanks for posting, I can no longer read myself ❤
Namaste ☀️✨️💜
Thank you thank you thank you! ❤
I have been saying for years that I require two cases of Buck- U- uppo, B, desperately, but have as yet not received any! OMG, Wodehouse and Cecil together are an absolute guarantee of hours of pleasure! Thank you for sharing.
I am a jonathan cecil fan but this narrator is wonderful too!
"Heavy Weather" and "Galahad at Blandings" are read by him as well. 😊
2:07:00 most realistic depiction of meeting up with the boys ever

Brilliant story and brilliant reading. Can barely breathe for laughing!
Thank you.
Keeps me out of public houses Such a British thing to say
Reminds me of one of Yogi Berra's famous sayings, "That's what I like about Little baseball, it keeps parents off the streets..."
"...about Little League baseball.." Some days I'm fast other days I'm half-assed.
Johnathan Cecil is the best but Nick Martin is a close second. He has a number that Johnathan Cecil did not record. Wodehouse is the best. Thanks so much for putting them on UA-cam.
Thank you for writing this! I have just started listening to these and have only heard Nick, who is OUTSTANDING! Now I have the confidence to try this narrator. 😁
Thoroughly enjoyed this thank you. However the reading/recording finished on page 331, should have been to page 341?🙂
The beginning and ending parts of a book are usually allocated for the introduction to the author and other books of same. 😉
So perfectly read with the different voices. Wonderfully funny story. I just love Wodehouse! ❤😊😂
😂❤a paragraph in and im hooked! Thanks for this❤
Spiffing 😊
I was just wishing I could listen to this and it popped up in recommendations. Nice.
🍸🐙🚬 WHOO--HOO!! 1st!
"Give up the ghost" is in the King James version of the New Testament. Luke 23:46
Namaste ☀️✨️💜
P.G.Wodehouse; a great author with a wonderful mind and so well read. I loved this story. Thank you.
I recently saw Jonathan in an episode of Are you being served, it was great!
Another brilliant Wodehouse story superbly narrated. Some lovely moments - picturing one of the formidable aunts administering a " cuff to the windpipe..." to one of the hopeless, hapless male relatives
Written at a time when humour was allowed in British culture!😂 The word 'fat' has been cancelled by the woke brigade. 😢 As a proud fattie I love the word. 😂
Stumbled upon this channel whilst searching for Wodehouse videos. Absolutely marvelous.! I do think you have the Union Jack inverted in your opening images. Thought you’d like to know.
Thanks for letting me know, my friend. Didn't notice. All the images are not 100% factual; I make use of what's available to create a story. 💕😉
Thank you! I haven't heard it before, other than the radio version. Unedited is so much better! 😀
Namaste ☀️✨️💜
Amazing totally absorbing a real treasure thank you
Thank you!
Even when the sentence is a normal sentence without pretense (as in the first sentence of this story) Jonathan Cecil makes it funny.
Jonathan cecil! Well done finding him and stories i have not heard of
👍🕺☀️✌️😎
Thank you
Truly wonderful.Thank you so much
Oh wow! I love this one and haven’t seen it in ages! Thank you! 😊
Mr. Graham Seed is an entirely new P. G. Wodehouse reader to me. Thank you so much for introducing him to us.
I say! Another dollop of the old PGW plonks down my interet chimney, what! Oojah-cum-spiff! If that's the term I'm looking for? All is velvet when PG's in town. My cuppa tea! Incidentally you lot, it might interest you to know that PGW invented the famous idiom "cuppa". More fish than Jeeves, what!
First time listening to Mr Jeremy Sinden’s reading. It is just as wonderful as Jonathan Cecil’s. Thank you for sharing this gem.
I agree. He's first class.
So lovely to live in Blandings world for a while an antidote to almost anything thanksx
Thank you! Pleasant reading
Cecil's reading is perfect. What a joy these are <3
