I bought this on Black Friday for a cinch, I already had the Ninja Foodie 12 in 1. I LOVE it! Looks great, so easy to use and is a whizz to clean. It's replaced the Foodie as my go-to appliance and unless I'm cooking for a larger number of people it's perfect for me and my partner. The only downside is that it is quite small, smaller than I realised even after watching your videos. That said, for a couple, it's perfect and I love cooking with it, it can do almost everything! Please do more videos, I enjoy them so much!
I love love the ninja combi. It replaced the toaster oven and air fryer. Tonight, I made Black Walnut Banana Muffins in it and they turned out perfect.
Really pleased you took my advice on getting the combi. The biggest drawback I have found up to now is recipes for it. The combi cooking using steam really sets this machine apart from any other cooking device, and cooks some great food, but Ninja ought to bring out a much more in-depth recipe book, as people are finding it very limited, as people don't want to risk spoiling their evening meals by guessing timings and temperatures.
Now thats a great product. Very much in the mould of the old work top oven my nan had years ago. That made her traditional oven redundant and this will too. Perfect for couples or students or smaller flats. Great review Clara 😃😃
I have to give this lady her due...she certainly knows her (air fried) onions when it comes to these air fryers/ovens etc... Explains things far better than any instruction booklet.
Excellent review, explained all I needed and thanks to this, I have bought this, instead the 14 in 1 multi cooker… I have subscribed, for more useful tips, Many thanks!
Thanks so much for the comment and the sub, the other good reason to go for this over the 14-in-1 is that I have recently found out they are phasing that model out so replacement parts are very hard to come by
Really appreciae the feedback. Presumably peak draw will be close to whatever the rated wattage is on the appliance. Also, I'm curious are you in the US? I think maximum capacity on circuits is perhaps more of a problem outside the UK?
I noticed one of your clips shows using the bake tray without having the combi pan in the level one slot, that makes sense to me as I feel level 2 is too close to the top element for some baked or savory bread items, however a sticker on the top of oven says to use the combi pan for all cooking but the instructions says bake mode doesnt need anythingbin level 1, sorry confused man, thoughts please?
I've looked back at this and I think the footage I used has caused confusion, I presume you are referring to 4'43 with the bread? I believe (and it was a few months ago!) that I initially put the bread on the bake tray, filmed it and then realised I needed to put it on the pan, switched it, filmed it again and then used the wrong one in the edit! All these views and you are the first to notice! The reason I think you have to use the Combi pan is because there is a button that is depressed in the floor of the oven when the combi pan is on it and it activates something (although I can't recall what!) you can see it at 2'05" - Hope that helps!
Great review! It's lovely to see a UK version review. I just bought one and am entirely new to air frying, let alone all the options on the Combi. It would be great to know what containers or food cover products can and can't be used in the Combi for its functions, such as tins, Pyrex, silicon, parchment, and foil, or if it's all just direct on the trays and pan, especially as I can see the interior wall will get mucky reasonably soon, even if the pans can go in the dishwasher. Looking forward to seeing your cooking experience with it.
The cooking space is easier to access from the front rather than the top and the space inside is more versatile as it fits differnet shape cookware. Circular air fryers / cookers are always slightly trickier to find bakeware for. I haven't done sous vide myself, but I've been told you can do it in either
Could this replace a microwave? I have limited countertop space so want 1 machine that does it all. AlI I do in the microwave is defrost and cook microwave popcorn! So looking to replicate only those functions in this machine. Thank you
I have the Ninja AG301EU, what I love about it is that there is a protection for the grill, I have my Ninja 2 years and the grill is stil spot clean, this one does not have that, I realy want it, I don't have an oven anymore so this Ninja would repace that, but the grill is my main problem, that is why I chose the Ninja AG301EU I hope that there is an option so you can put in some protection so your grill stays clean
Use a Kill a Watt device or similar to measure the amount of power consumption of each mode. I imagine if this Combi oven gets used a lot, you'd see the result in the energy bill, especially with the searing mode.
I have one and it's a great bit of kit, I don't think I've used it to its full potential yet, that bread looks great, are you using the large pan with water in the bottom to create steam on the steam crisp setting because the video wasn't clear
I find your Videos very useful and I need your advice. I can not decide between the Ninja Combi 12 in 1 Multicooker you are showing here in this Video and the Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone. It's important to me to be able to slow cook over night and for the machine to keep it warm and making whole meals in a little time as well. Also being able to make rice and Meals that you usually make in a Pot like stews or soups with meat. Also my fear with the Ninja Combi 12 in 1 is that the smell of the seperare meals will combine with each other. Could you please give me your advice on my concerns? Thank you very much.
I think your concerns are valid. The Combi is excellent for certain scenarios, people with holiday homes, students, young adults in their first home, people in caravans who are pushed for space, but if you are not one of those people I still think the best option is a slow cooker/rice cooker AND an air fryer, bith of which do their individual jobs brilliantly. Hope that helps
Thank you for your responds. So basically none of which I have mentioned? Haha I had the Ninja speedi and loved it, cooked most of our meals in it but I would like the same options but two seperate compartments. Sometimes it just has to go fast (which is often) but I actually stopped going to fast food places as much because I knew it would b done quick at home too.
Ciao, nice video. One question about the dimension. On Amazon says 40cm high. In another site it says 33cm as you said. I have a space of 38cm and the real high will help a lot to make my decision. Thanks
Thank you so much, i wasn't sure if you had to leave the bottom tray in with water in it. I'm sure it will all become clearer with practice and time. I look forward to any future recipes you show, especially different types of bread. Have a wonderful week.
I'm looking at the ninja foodi possible 8 in 1 slow cooker right now. I'm not so keen on the colour, and would prefer black, although I don't know that the black was released in the UK. It looks fairly simple to operate and easy to keep clean. I believe it's quite lightweight too. It has a huge capacity, so not so light when full, but don't necessarily need to lift when full. But for cleaning, it looks like something easy. It seems there was a smaller version released in the US, but I can't find anything for the UK and not loads on the US either sadly.
It's funny the first thing I was going to say was that I really like the colour! 😅 The smaller capacity US version appears to be similar but different to the 8 litre/8.5 quart version. I'm going to add it to my list for testing though and you have (unfortunately! 😅) reminded me I fancy one of their PossiblePots to replace a non-stick saucepan I recently killed! If you are an Amazon Prime member there are deal days coming up next month so we may both be in luck...
@@CandidClara The colour may be growing on me, although I am not sure if it's more grey in person, rather than blue gray as pictured. I'll soon find out, because I've ordered it! It was 30 off everywhere, but within ten mins of deciding to order it, amazon increased the price by 30, back to normal. So I ordered from elsewhere with free delivery. I saw, after leaving this comment, that the smaller, similar, dark blue model is showing as 'coming soon' on the ninja UK site. Hi James, I'm sorry I missed this amidst the increased comments over Black Friday (which apparently lasts the whole of November now!) the only thing I would say is that if you are cooking rice you will need to find a smaller non-stick pan to put inside the big combi pan when you reduce the quantities.

14 in 1 foodie is also pressure cooker and combi not. I prefer cooking my chicken in foodi rather than combi, it creates less steam and mess. I love having both.

No
This is a very interesting product. I wonder if something like this or a normal 1/2 drawer airfryer would be an ideal campervan accessory?
That’s a good question, it will be interesting to see if anyone comments on this who is using it that way
