Watched this and your accessories video, wonderful straight forward useful information. Had an air fryer for round about 8 years but in the end bought a new one as the handle fell apart a number of times and I decided after fixing it that it had done us well and got a better shaped one with a better handle arrangement. Also replacement parts on so many appliances are priced so high to make an older machine not worth replacing the parts. So much for the green revolution. Thanks again.
The Cosori 9 quart (US model) does say in the owners manual that pressing PREHEAT and SHAKE at the same time for 3 seconds until the air fryer beeps once will turn off the sound. Repeat the process to turn it back on.
Hi Clara, Would you ever consider a email news letter? I know it's allot of work but you always have so many good practical tips nobody else talks about. There is allot of stuff out there but it's mostly American and I don't like their measuring methods and get their temperatures wrong.
I love these tips. I fell into the Silicon insert trap, and they are awful (apart from cake silicon moulds). They don't cook things properly and don't clean very well despite going in the dishwasher. I now use oven-proof dishes and the actual tray. Now I've got a dual air fryer, it makes things easier to cook without the use of inserts.
Hi Clara, a bleeping update for you! I've just bought the Cosori dual basket 8.5L and saw your comparison with the Ninja after purchase. Luckily you seemed to confirm that I made the right decision! On the Cosori you can turn off the sound by holding the Preheat and Shake buttons simultaneously for three seconds. You'll get a bleep to confirm you've turned them off (ironically) and if you repeat the process you get two bleeps to confirm that you successfully reactivated them. (It's in the manual page 16 and I just tested it to be sure!)
I have a cheap small air fryer used it only 4 or 5 times. Can’t stand that factory artificial smell. Tried running on empty, used bicarbonate soda, lemons, the lot but given up. I’m wondering if it’s because a cheap brand and maybe a ninja, cursorily or instant pot brand might be better??
Hello Clara, we were looking at the cookwise 9L duel airfryer 3L x 6L XL against the Keplin 9.5L duel zone airfryer, we have watched the video of the Tefal duel airfryer so we won't be buying that one, we were just wondering if you had heard anything of these 2 or tried them, we're really looking for a airfryer that has 2 compartments 1 large and 1 small, so we can cook 8inch cakes could you please help us thank you... Emilio 😊
Hi Emilio, the Philips 3000 would match that description, great build quality and it’s on a good deal at the moment amzn.to/3DuKRmK I’m afraid I haven’t tested the other two (yet!) so can’t comment, but hope that helps! Happy Christmas!
@@CandidClarathank you for your kind reply Clara, we will certainly take a look at the one you have suggested, thank you and a Merry Christmas to you and your family 😊
I have an Insta Airfryer and it has an automatic preheat on certain cycles, beeping when it is ready for food to go in and only then the time starts counting down. I find it handy and nope the beeps do not worry me as I have so much going on all the time, it helps to remind me to add or turn food, lol ... or that it's done cooking. But then I live alone, so nobody else to irritate ;-)
Interesting, does it beep when it has completed the time preheating or beep when it has reached temperature? Many do the former, but I haven't actually found any that indicate when they have reached temperature, unless that's yours?
I personaly think preheating might be useful to burn all food residues/microbs that might have could have been left in tray from last meal if more than day ago
I totally understand that! It’s a bit of a necessary evil for me, but it must be good to switch it off! Out of curiosity do you use any social platforms?
@ only You tube i have my own Channel , but other then that i have no use for them i never understood how they worked and never had any contacts i did go back on face book last year but hated the new set up 😍
Thank you for all your practical and sensible advice. Regards from Australia 🦘🇦🇺🇬🇧🤓
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment x
Excellent and very useful video. As a new air fryer owner, i found it super helpful 👍
So glad it was helpful!

Thank you so much for your comment. Yes replacement parts are an issue, Tefal are better than most in this area www.tefal.co.uk/repairability-page

Yes, someone else flagged this up, thank you for telling me, annoyed I missed that, but sometimes the odd thing does slip by me x

That is definitely food for thought, thank you for suggesting it
Thank you Clara for some invaluable and time saving tips 😃😃

So many silicone baskets lurking in cupboards unloved!

I obviously haven’t tested them all (yet) but I’ve barely noticed any smell on the better brands, the worst was Gino’s air fryer

Great tips👍🏾. What are your thoughts and advice on (smart) air fryers that can record and harvest info on you?
Well it’s not just air fryers, it’s smart speakers and other appliances too… but if you want a headline put “air fryer” in the title! 😉
