Sweet rifle. Putting a magpul bipod on a nice precision rifle is like an F1 driver having an ugly umbrella girl. Two things that just don't go together. Nearly pointless and definitely doesn't look good in the process.
I’ve been waiting for the Sig Cross in 7mm PRC. I like the idea of being able to get the proof research barrel out of the box. For me, the abbreviated hand guard with shortened ARCA rail and the color are big turn offs.
Same. Shortened rail was a poor decision in my opinion. This is specifically made for longer range shooting, and now the bipod is forced to be much closer to the action than the end of the barrel.
I’m guess that somebody mandated that it needed to be a pound lighter, and after they put it the proof barrel and it didn’t meet the weight target they had to start cutting on the handguard until It hit the weight target.
The short hand guard is tragic imo. The minor ounces shaved aren’t worth the loss of protection of the barrel and options for barrier bracing and tripods further out. Never once have I thought, “I wish this 24” barrel had a super short rail.” I have one ordered, but I’ll immediately ditch the rail for the standard magnum one and just deal with them being two different colors.

MOA guarantee is meaninless. You need to shoot 20-30 rounds with appropriate cooling to know what a rifle / ammo combo is capable of statistically. A single 3 shot group doesn't tell you much.
I bought one of these, digging the rifle so far but the ammunition is absolutely insane pricing. I'm not even exaggerating just picked up two boxes of ammo (20rd each) for about $160 BEFORE the California 22% Firearms and ammunition double tax and background check fee. It'll explode or go off when it's not supposed to, Sig will take a year to perfect it, Sig won't tell people what they changed, and people will still pay $3000 for one.
Not impressed with the 308 cross I bought. 1.5-2” groups even with hand loads. Then the odd .75” when the barrel is a tad warm. No thanks. Stick with a savage in a mdt chassis. Same ammo 1” and under.
