What do you think about the theory about Vetra's father? Also remember to give the original OP some love (link in the video description). Also minor edit: some people have rightly pointed out that Saren and Anderson were not the best of friends i.e. they kinda hated each other. Sorry about that!

I didn't even think about Saren. I figured it was Sidonis, for no other reason than Vetra's sister was named Sidera. Pretty thin, I know!

random theory about Archon that might be about but I've not seen anywhere. spoilers of course.
they said he died because his body couldn't survive without the consciousness that had to reside within the Remnant link. is it then possible that his consciousness is still inside, separated from his physical form?
would add a pretty good element to future games if he was a ghost in the machine as it were. certainly would add a deeper arc to his and the story in general. food for thought

Although I think Vetra's dad being Saren would make for much more interesting story-telling, I can't help but feel that its Sidonis just for the naming of 'Sid' from 'Sidonis' alone.Though I'd love to see myself proven wrong and it be Saren. The very fact that Vetra's history records and her father's military records are hidden by the Turian military is suspicious.
With regards to your point against Avitus and Vetra knowing each other when you take her to Havarl, they do not necessarily have to acknowledge each other as seen with previous games. For example, in ME: 1, if you take Liara with you to Feros, she does not say anything to Shiala (the Asari that the Thorian cloned), who by the way was Benezia's (Liara's mother) deciple/ follower for over 200 years, making her older than Liara so she/they would have known each other.
My point being, just because they do not seem to say anything to each other does not mean that is the case as seen in previous games.

it was big news, but the council never said what really happend, they covered it as far as i remember...
I think they didn't mention Saren in the whole Citadel attack. They just said the Geth were responsible but I heard in ME1 a radio announcement about Saren being fired from the Spectres.
Saren's death doesn't really become big news until the start of MA2 and by then the arcs are gone
Arcs left before ME 3 not ME2. You should pay more attantion to the story.

I honestly think they wouldn't go that way for various reasons. First, that kind of cuts the whole possible plot revolving around Vetra and Sid's father(and I'm convinced, that he'll show up in later installments, will turn out to be a total dick and won't recognize his children. Mere speculation on my part, but hey, that could be a good point for further character development)
Also, why all the suspense if the character is reffered to by Avitus, why didn't Vetra tell us his name? Sure, they could theoretically put Saren as their dad, but that would be lazy
So fingers crossed, let's hope we get to see the man and confront him

No, not Saren's daughter. Rolan Quarn''s. Rolan Quarn was known to change faces and names, often for long spans of time, was good with words and had an essentially nice nature. It seems to me that both Vetra and Sid display common attributes to him.

Saren and Anderson are not close friends. This is heavily defined in the first novel which takes place after the comic with Harper. If Vetra and Sid are related to anyone in that family it might be Desolas. After their father left Palaven with them he left (I believe Veyra says 2 years), and never came back. Without knowing just how old Veyra is though it's hard to say. Daren never had a family.

No. Saren actually covered for Anderson. Anderson was to work with Sare to take down a terrorist cell. They both agreed not to work with each other before the mission and Anderson for go the mission to save Kalian sanders. So Anderson abandoned his alliance appointed mission. Sean did not say anything about but stated Anderson and him got split up and Blamed the mission going wrong on Anderson , which ended his chances of being a spectru, but did not tell anyone that Anderson abandoned his mission which if he did would end his career.

Saren and Anderson were anything but close friends. In revelations Saren tolerated him because he was ordered to by the council. That being said I dont think that Saren would be her father.
Wouldn't the last names match up if Vetra and Sid were Saren's daughters? There is the example in ME3, where Turian last names follow from the father's name... I vote for "no connection" based on this evidence.

If you have Vetra and Drack as companions at the same time they have a LOT of interesting conversations about her father and how she feels.
It does seem like she talks about him an awful lot for him to be a nobody.
not a chance. just too thin. It's better if they aren't anyway. Too much linkage to the original would be ludicrous... It's a big Milky Way and the commonalities, like Conrad's sister are cute but only up to a point.

I mean, ultimately it doesn't matter who it was unless he somehow made it to Andromeda. I think it might even make it a bit too much of a small world if a big character like Saren sired children that are in this game. It's an interesting idea, but I'm more than happy with Vetra and Cid's father being just some random deadbeat turian.
Leave it to the game designers to have two potential daughters of the previous trilogy's villains not only in Andromeda, but on the Tempest.

I feel like Sidonis is probably the closet connection to this theory - his hand in the death of Garrus' squad and dealings with Blue Suns (after being captured) make him the likely person.
Though I guess the biggest issue would be the age of Sidonis, Vetra and Sid.
I might have a little wrench to your theory. In one of the conversations with Vetra, she said that one of the things Sid brung with her to Andromeda was her dad's "ancient instruments". Did Saren ever had a fondness for music?

I say this from what we see of him in the Evolution Comic mini series, and Vetra always seem to describe her father as someone that was either kicked off Palaven or is not welcome there, and given that Vetra seems to be at keast the same age of Ryder.
Saren is still viewed with adoration and respect until his activities with the geth become public in ME1
With that I dint think Vetras and her sisters childhood matches, if any thing Saren is her Uncle at the most
If it was suposed to be a call back, the most likely one is Sedonis, since all we know of him is his military background, which goes for 99% of every turian in existence, and that he broke during the mercenary gangs pressing him cuz of his family
I thought Saren was well known before ME1 and definitely infamous afterwards. Since the Arks left after ME1 but before/during ME2 Vetra would know if Saren was her father or not. It would be reasonable to assume that she would have mentioned it if this was the case.

I hope she's not the daughter of any know character. Any more family relations or direct ties to the trilogy and the whole thing becomes cheap fan fiction.

A good theory, but based on evidence, I don't think they're Saren OR Sidonis' daughters. I think we'll either meet him in the future, or if it must be someone we killed in the previous games, I think Kuril is more likely.
It would be cool if she was Sarens daughter, plus if it's true going back and replaying Mass Effect 1 it could make you feel bad for Saren, not gonna lie when I first saw Saren when I first played Mass Effect was "Damn, he looks badass I wonder if he's on the Romance list"

Good video! I think it's possible, but i brought Vetra with me as well to Havarl, and after seeing her not react.. I don't feel it's legit.
It's a cool theory but I'm not sure it's got enough evidence that's very definite. It feels more like a theory that's wanted from fans rather than is likely to be true, though I wish it was - it would be cool.
I don't think this is very likely. Saren's first contact with Sovereign was twenty years before the events of Mass Effect 1. The Arks leave the Milky Way after the events of Mass Effect 2, which puts it roughly three years after the beginning of 1, or 22-23 years after Saren found Sovereign. That would mean he was fathering children 4-5 years after Reaper contact. That's not likely.
Also, Vetra seems to not know what it was that her father did that was so terrible. If she knew but was hiding it, she would come across differently during those conversations.
Its nihilus. It has to be. He had a bit of a shady past, if you speak to samara in me2 she says that nihilus was not the best specter like he's shown to be in me1.
I don't think that's possible. We met a friend of Saren's. He would recognize her. Also, I don't think Saren is old enough to have Vetra as a child...no, thinking again, he could...he was a spectre already when Anderson was doing his test...yeah...could be...but too much coincidence. Also, Saren went rogue for less than an year.

Anyway, the Sidonis theory that was floating around and briefly discussed here is pretty credible. Sid's full name is Sidera, which is awfully close to Sidonis. Different Colony Markings and skin tone on Sid make me think infidelity. This is somewhat supported by Vetra saying that Sid is the only sister she knows she has, but not in an ironic tone.
In ME2, Sidonis says not to "say that name" (being Sidonis). Vetra has a Nomad dialogue with Drack where she says she "Asked around, loudly", and commented that "a sure way to make someone vanish is to let them know someone else is looking".
Sidonis did say he would start a new life if Garrus spared him and make ammends, maybe going to Andromeda, and since it was before the Ark's left it could be possible. Doubtful since he can be killed though. Either way, I'm sure MEA2 will expand on Vetra's father.
Aw no problem, very cool little mini-theory you have and it was definitely fun to look at. And definitely like your added evidence for Sidonis, he'd would be a perfect but not alertly obvious link to the trilogy.
If this is true, saren must be turning in his grave that his kid is dating a human if you chose to romance her.
Not on board with this theory given we already get a Saren easteregg via whats his face on Haval who was his protege. I don't see Bioware hammering down any efforts. Easter eggs don't typically work like that.

I don't think that Saren is Vetra's father simply because Vetra doesn't know what happened to her father; and it would be pretty hard to not know what happened to Saren since he was popular figure and then popular enemy.
And seeing as the guy from kasumis loyalty mission in ME2 had a statue of saren made for him
He was a popular idol for the galaxies worse, and a horror stoeg among the common folk and soldiars
i like sidonas link better as he was a similar kind of shady to the way vetras turned out ( okay so she has some moral standards , but the same kind of business .... i think it fits nicer :)

Very far fetched, also Vetra never stated that her father was military other that he was in shady dealing I.E. Just a regular criminal and that they lived on a remote colony, also her mother wasn't stated as being a high rank or being military, but that she was power hungry spending most of her time trying to acquire it on the Turian home world and 'wasn't a nice person'
Also Vetras father is hinted to have been a very good father until his disappearance and Vetra self learned how to shoot and all other skills.
Also only about 20k worth of Turian went to andromeda out of a population of billions, also like humans Turian offspring inherit their fathers family name.

Theres no evidence or correlation to the angara being anything other than a genetics project, otherwise u would find hints or actual memory storage devices for the jaardan to download their memories into
If the jardaan made the angara and immediatly transfered themselves using the pods the angara were made in, then theyd still die
Theyd need a device to hold their souls or memories in for longer periods of time to let the scourge pass anf then download into the bodies, none of which are present

Though in this regard if people knew of Saren's actions it's probably likely that people would hear about Nihlus' death at the hands of Saren.

Side Note the time is off. No one knows Saren and the reaper connection prior Launch of Arks, so debunked. Remember citadel dlc, The council publicly stated Sovereign was a geth dreadnought piloted by Saren, Spectre access reveals it was reaper. The "missing farther" is not an uncommon concept in Turian Military, it be future content or games. This is fan fiction.
